Saku, I am so sorry I took so long to update my comment, the weekend was a hive of activity. 😊 Taking kiddo to art class on Saturday, date with Hubby to see Spectre, and then Sunday had guests over at home. Wanted to comment in detail from my laptop as I don't like leaving cursory, proforma comments typed on my phone.
I was intrigued by this chapter. Lots of ground you've covered here, and there was a shift in pace from the earlier updates. Read almost like a Sheldon novel, with loads of double crosses and double-double crosses going on. 😉
So Kavita is Adarsh's wife---the one who left Sanskaar broken hearted. Adarsh was vile and cunning enough to treat his cousin that way, and wants to play his rather foolish younger brother to inflict a similar, but even more damaging blow. My, this is like the Kauravas all over again. I like the overtones from the epics you bring into your works.
So Sanskaar did play a role in creating that initial storm in Swara's life--where Lakshya, callow and impetuous as ever, suspected her of having a fling with Sanskaar, though he was engaged to marry her. Fickle and untrusting! So I guess after this, he would get married to Ragini? But then how does he veer back to Swara?
Sanskaar, at the time of the wedding, confesses to Swara that he genuinely loves her, and also that he would let her go back to Lakshya later, once he's come into his senses and divorced Ragini. 🤢 I'm sure he meant it, the Sanskaar in your fic does seem to love with the same selfless, passionate intensity as the one on the serial. But I guess in the intervening period, Swara grows to love him too, and when she's framed for leaking Sanskaar's secrets to Lakshya, the supposed betrayal becomes too much for him to bear? After what happened with Kavita--Adarsh?
Saku, once again, hats off for creating such layered works. You imbue your characters with so many shades of gray. I've told Medhu before, this has now become my favorite color, after reading a couple of her pieces on Ragini & Sanskaar. Your writing makes me love it all over again!
And yes--Update soon! And a looong one at that. 😉
