Ruqaiya my dear friend...🤗 🤗

You just made my day, by saying my attempt at this thriller genre reminded you of a master like Sidney Sheldon. 😳 Man, that was a HUGE compliment. Thanks so much, yaar.

I think the book you read is called "Naked Face". I remember reading it too. Amazing, na? My personal favorites of Sheldon's, are "Master of the Game" and "The Other side of Midnight". You must have read those, na?

Oh, I wanted to dedicate this piece to you, yaar. You had asked me after "Saudade", na, that I could have continued the tale a wee bit further, to show the hotel room scene as well? ☺️ Well, hotel room I didn't do, but then in this TS, I put SwaSan in a similar position in their room at Maheshwari house! 😳 Glad you liked the romance, and that blasted pillow wall getting thoroughly dismantled! I am so, so very happy that you liked the blend of suspense and romance I attempted here.

I was actually having chills running down my spine when I wrote the Lakshya--Swara confrontation in the end, so am sadistically happy 😛 to hear you felt reading it gave you chills!

Since you gave me such a lovely compliment in French, I want to respond in kind, by saying, merci beaucoup. 😊

Was very touched by your comment. Thanks again.

Hey Viji. I think the book was ''Tell me your dreams''. Ooh ''Master Of The Game is a classic. It's my favorite too. What a stunning piece of fiction. I can't remember what The Naked Face was about. I remember Morning, Noon and Night, Memories of Midnight. Bloodline, and a few more. Its been a while since I last read a thriller. Have you read Dean Koontz.? He is also a terrific writer and let me see ... a few John Grisham and Dan Brown novels. Oh and How can I forget Stephen King. Though King and Koontz work is mostly science fiction.

I think your TS has renewed my interest in Suspense Thrillers. Might just go and browse the book store. Any Suggestions?😊

Hey Ruqaiya

You're right about that Sheldon novel, It IS "Tell me your dreams". That was a fabulous one, very spine chilling and the suspense was literally on knife edge, throughout!

"Naked Face" was Sheldon's first novel. The perpetrator in that novel suffers from Megalomania, (not split personality).

Since you liked Sheldon's Memories of Midnight, you might have liked Sappho's poem too, which I had quoted in this TS---the sing to me of the memories of midnight one. 😊 That's the poem from where Sheldon had been inspired for the title of that novel.

As for book recommendations, well, I am a HUGE Agatha Christie fan. You must have read quite a few of hers, na? She's the Queen of Suspense 😊. So many wonderful books, its hard to pick the best. Top of my mind, I would say: Murder of Roger Ackroyd; Death on the Nile; Cards on the Table; Appointment with Death; Ordeal by Innocence; Murder on the Orient Express; Sad Cypress; ABC Murders; Sleeping Murder; A Murder is Announced.

Sorry if I suggested too many! 😊 But I just can't choose between these books, they are all too good.

Haven't read any Koontz. Liked Dan Brown a fair bit, my personal favorite among his novels is "Angels & Demons". I liked that even more than "The Da Vinci Code".

Mary Higgins Clark is good too, but her novels tend to be patchy as regards quality. Many are excellent, some are mediocre, and a couple are utterly boring. 😊 I think "A stranger watches" by her was very good. If I can remember a few more Clark's, I'll let you know.

Vij darling...*standing ovation*
Can I say it was mind blowingly brilliant...truly utterly brilliant.

Words are escaping me really...your play with words in describing the characters emotions...thoughts...just beautiful...and the sensuality of the who Swara and Sanskar being one just beautiful...it was poetry really...

The mystery surrounding Kavita's death...the sinister feeling prevailing...awesomely told executed...to create the mystery of who...and the hint given by Sanskar... the phone call ...just brilliantly Perfect...just like in Aghata Christie novels...am a big fan of hers grew up reading her books...Famous Five...Secret Seven...Nancy Drew...Hardy Boys...etc..as loved loved reading mysteries still do...lol

Please ignore any grammatical error as typing from my phone as lappy is dead...lol...but couldn't resist reading and appreciating your story...

Your style of writing is just as the classic writers...love that...

Once again thanks for the PM...

I still have your other works bookmarked...just need the quiet time to read it...

Once again a true pleasure it was reading your story...
