hi mihika.. your name is very beautiful. I loved your update.. here swara is more matured. more understandable. .. and she thinks a lot before talking. in the show I can't connect with swara. but here in your update I could connect with her easily.. this is an excellent piece of writing. in swaragini most of the characters lost the charm. but I'm happy that I could read some logical concept here. love you for this update.. it is just beautiful as your name. .
It was so superb and awesome...
Loved ur story so much dear...Plz do cont with their growing relationship...Will love to read...Do pm me while updating...
Hello Everyone!
Here is the next part. I have eventually decided to continue this. I have a few ideas of how to continue the story and I hope you enjoy it.
Thank you for everyone who commented, I'm sorry I couldn't reply to everyone individually, but I read them all and they really boosted my confidence! So please do keep reading and commenting!
With this story I will also try and address some issues I feel strongly about. And these will mainly involve Ragini. I have shown Ragini slightly different than in the show, and I hope that through her character I show the different risk factors that led to her behaviour. She will be shown to want to change her ways as well. But let me not give too much away. Just as a request treat her character as openly as possible. Because in my opinion everyone is capable of great evil given the right circumstances. This does not mean that what actions are taken are forgivable, but there is more to it than what meets eye.
Furthermore I really like the bonding of DP with Sanskar and Swara and I will also explore this bond as I think the results to the story could be phenomenon.
Enough of my rambling here is the next part!
Part 2
A New Morning
The next morning both Swara and Sanskar woke up feeling well rested after a long time. Sanskar being the early riser that he is was always given the responsibility of waking Swara up in the mornings. Swara said to him at the start of their fake marriage that
"Dekho Sanskar, yahan pe sab itna jaldi uthte hai, Main toh apne sau alarms ko bhi unsunna kar deti hoon, so it is your responsibility to wake me up, deal?"
He chuckled at the memory, it was his favourite part of the day, watching her make faces at the name of waking up early. But he had the dreaded job to do even today. *Let's see what excuses she has today for not waking up* he thought to himself.
He walked over to the bed and took her name softly. "Hmph" she replied and rolled over to the other side. Sanskar shook his head with a slight laugh and prepared himself for a long gruelling process. Let's do something different today he thought to himself. "SWARA, look it's raining outside!" He exclaimed knowing full well from his gossip sessions with Dida that Swara loves the rain no matter what, and that it was the most full-proof way of waking her up. "Kya, barish WHERE?!" Swara yelled jumping right off the bed and straight to the window where she was greeted with the, to her, disappointing sunshine. "Well I know I should use that funda again, Dida was right" Sanskar said to her as she turned to give him a menacing glare. "Tum, Ma, Dida, aur yeh pura Maheshwari Khaandaan! Sab ke sab meri neend ke dushman ho!" Swara rattled on rubbing her eyes open, while Sanskar just stood there smiling like an idiot. How did he get so lucky to have her in his life when he thought that love would never come knocking on his door again. "O hello, Mr Silent hero? Are you even listening to me?" Swara exclaimed, although truth be told, she was loving the way Sanskar was looking at her, his full attention was on her, even though it wasn't. "I'll have to be the silent hero, you speak enough for the entire family, so what can this poor chap do in front of the Jhansi ki rani her-self? And if you want to blame anyone, blame Dida, this is her brain." He replies as mock anger fills Swara's face, "You, Dida, and your gossip, She's my Dida and you gossip with her more than I have ever have!" Swara turns her face away. "Swara?" "Kya hai? I'm angry" she blasts. "Arre, don't you smell that." He prods "I don't smell anything" she replies. "Mujhe toh jalne ki bu ah rahi hai" As soon as he finished the last word, he ran for his life from Swara who's slipper became her weapon of choice.
Both exhausted fell backwards on the bed. Swara had a lot on her mind that she was determined to rid herself of. "Sanskar" she started, "I was thinking, since we both have decided that we want to take this relationship forwards and make this marriage real, why don't we?" She got us to sit on the bed and turned to look at him with excitement. "Sanskar, I think we should get married, properly, in front of and with the blessings of all the family. I want to be able to proudly state that I am your wife and you are my Husband and I don't want to give anyone the chance to question our relationship." While she was speaking, Sanskar also got up to sit next to her. He was smiling from ear to ear and Swara, looking at that smile which was the purest she has ever seen, knew in an instance that she would do anything for that smile to stay in place. Through her eyes Swara was urging him to say what he thought, but the only response Sanskar could come up with was to take her in his arms and Let's just say that Swara was far from complaining.
Soon they were proceeding for breakfast all smiles and not a single person on the table could miss the change in the air that surrounded the couple. Even though he may be the member of the family that shows the least emotions on his face, Durga Prasad was perhaps the most thrilled. His respect for Swara grew ten folds after observing her dedication towards Sanskar and towards the truth. She was what Sanskar was missing in his life and what he oh so needed. Both of them are strong individuals who cared for their family, perhaps more than what was healthy for their own good. But that is the exact quality of them which forces him to ever so slightly trust them more than he does anyone else in the family. They are so similar and yet so different. While Sanskar is controlled, Swara speaks her mind. Both for the right reasons. They have the potential to become each other's strength. Sanskar in many ways reminds Durga Prasad of himself. And perhaps it is for that reason that he has always been tougher on Sanskar than on Aadarsh or Lakshya. He wants Sanskar to succeed and surpass anything he has ever achieved. He wants Sanskar to live his dream as well. Something Durga Prasad has sacrificed for the responsibilities of his family. And Swara is that girl who will make sure Sanskar rests, takes time off, stopes from time to time to appreciate the world. It would be a great team Durga Prasad thought to himself, He would drive Sanskar to success, while Swara acts as the speed breaker. In many ways Swara is the daughter he always longed for. She is everything he would want in a daughter. And now this father daughter team would make sure that Sanskar moves forward in his life with a fresh and joyful outlook. He must remember to have a word with Swara, and this time not as her Bade Papa (In law), but as her father.
As everyone sat down for breakfast Swara and Sanskar kept stealing glances not knowing how to share the news that they want to get married and who should do the talking.
Other than Durga Prasad, there were two more people that were a little too perceptive of the growing closeness and happiness that was reflecting off of them. Lakshya and Ragini. Lakshya couldn't believe it. She was happy, it didn't look like a pretence, nor did she turn to look at him even once since they both came downstairs. Why was she not looking at him? Has she really moved on? These thoughts wouldn't let him rest.
Ragini was also quite perceptive. She observed the interactions between Swara and Sanskar. And deep down, the genuine happiness on Swara's face was a treat to watch. Ragini knows that she has wronged so many people, most of all her sister who has done nothing but support her throughout every ordeal. But she's scared, scared of herself now. She doesn't know what level of evil she is capable of and that terrifies her. She is being trapped in her own doings with no way out and it is suffocating her. All she had ever known was to accept the decisions made for her by her Dadima and Papa. She has always been obedient. And she always thought that there was a reason to her obedience. That there would come a day where she would be rewarded with a husband who gave her all the love in the world. She never had any control of her own life, and when she finally did, she made an utter mess of it. She has realised that she will never be able to live with herself, constantly looking behind her shoulder, and be happy. But how could she possibly rectify this? The mere thought of her loved ones hating her sent chills down her spine.
The Big Announcement
At last the long argument Swara and Sanskar were having through their eyes was won by Swara and Sanskar stood up to make the big announcement. "Mujhe aur Swara ko aap sab se kuch baat karni hai." Everyone looked up as he spoke. Durga Prasad was waiting eagerly. He knew it would be something important if they waited for the entire family to be present. "Bolo Sanskar." He urged on. "Swara and I want to get married with all of you present and blessing us. We realise that we were wrong for not including you in our marriage, and truth be told, out marriage is incomplete without your presence." Sanskar concluded. Both Swara and he were waiting with bated breaths. Durga Prasad was the first to speak, "Sanskar, Swara. Humein aapke faisle se khushi hui. Aapki shaadi ko hum sab ne swikaar liya, phir bhi kahin na kahin ek adhurpan tha jo aap dono ki iss baat ke baad puri ho jayegi." Durga Prasad awarded them with a rare smile that he reserved for very special occasions.
"Bade Papa?" Asked Swara hesitantly, "kya main aapse kuch maangsakti hoon?" The rest of the family members were looking at Swara dumbfounded. She truly amazes everyone with the ease of which she talked and answered Durga Prasad, without any fear. "Pucho Swara, koi bhi dar man mein mat rakho." he replied. "Bade Papa, main chahati hoon ke mera kanyadaan aap karein. App toh jaante hai ke Ma aur Dida yahaan pe hai nahi, aur pata nahi kab ayenge. Aur mere liye agar kisi ne ek pita ka farz nibhaya hai toh voh aap hai. Aapne mujhe aur Sanskar ka tab saath diya jab kisi aur ne nahi diya." She finished and looked up to find Durga Prasad stunned and his eyes moist and he simply nodded is assent. Swara being Swara ran up and gave Durga Prasad a big hug. Startled he pat her head with the smallest smile playing on his lips as he indicated Sanskar to join in. And all he said was "Mujhe tum dono pe garv hai" While Sanskar and Swara smiles at each other happy with the turnout of the events.
Sujata, after the events of last night was starting to accept Swara as her Bahu, if anyone is right for her Chora, it has to be her. Lakshya was at war with himself, how could they be so willing to marry each other? Ragini on the other hand was convinced that Swara was happy, but there were things she had to clear with Swara, she was tired of playing games, and she knew that only Swara, and perhaps now even Sanskar would understand her and help her out of this mess she brought upon herself.
Swara, still conflicted with her feelings for Sanskar just knew, that no matter whatever happened, if she was with Sanskar, nothing could go wrong. Everything in her life is about to take a forward leap with good things awaiting her. And there were the new feelings of flutters in her stomach every time she saw Sanskar, especially when he gave her those special smiles that he reserved especially for her, like the one he was giving her now. This was different than the energy rush she felt with Lakshya. This was a feeling of security, clarity, and more than anything of trust. And she wasn't willing to give this up for anything or anyone.
Her phone rang as Dida's name flashed on the screen *margayi! Dida told me to have Sanskar call her, Ab pakka daant padegi!* she thought to herself.
