Hi Mihika, firstly thanks for the pm.. I don't remember if I read this as an OS.. But today i read all the chapters once again.
And if Lakshya couldn't trust here, then he has no business loving her.The decision seemed so clear and final. Good bye Lakshya!!Let's see what excuses she has today for not waking upSanskaar has a real big responsibility!! One more line i liked was Maheshwari Khandaan meri neend ki dushman hai.. đSanskar, yet again, shone through with his unflinching trust on her and her familyIt is such a stark contrast that it actually makes a valid point of why Sanskaar is better for Swara.Let's just say that Swara was far from complaining.Even we have no complaints.. đłThis was different than the energy rush she felt with Lakshya. This was a feeling of security, clarity, and more than anything of trust. And she wasn't willing to give this up for anything or anyone. Finally she realises the difference between an immature spoilsport and a caring husband.. one cant be the other.Durga Prasad had a small idea running through his head as a surprise for Swara.Really wondering whats DP's surprise is for his muh-boli daughter!!kiss of trust, support, and the promise of forever.I love this line would be an understatement.. i am a sucker for romances with a kiss in the sunset..Love the story turn.. shaadi, izhaar, Ragini ki pukar aur DP ka toofah.. i am waiting for all these Mihika.. doesnt matter if you dont give these quickly, just reveal all of them as you find time..âď¸đ Keep writing!!Sharon
Here is the next part!
All the comments have been inspiring me a lot, please do continue đ
PART 4
While Swara and Sanskar were still coming to terms with the new developments in their relationship, the marriage preparations had already begun.
Everyone was going full steam ahead with the wedding preparations for Swara and Sanskar. No stone should be left unturned thought Annapurna as she reflected on what Sanskar meant to the family, and what he meant to her. Sanskar may not have been the most pampered child, but he was the favourite. Sounds contradictory, but that was how it was. Everyone adored Sanskar. He was only two months older than Laksh, but Sanskar has always fulfilled every duty that there can possibly be for an older brother. He was more of an older brother to Laksh than Aadarsh even. She fondly remembers the times when they were just children, how Sanskar would always be ready for compromising on his wishes if it meant that there were a smile on his precious Lucky's face. Yet Sanskar would never let any injustice happen on himself either. Never supported lies, he had his principles and stood by them. No matter what anyone told him, he wouldn't budge, much like her husband she thought wistfully. But Sanskar was a lot calmer than her husband, much less impulsive than her husband although he does have his moments.
Sanskar felt every emotion to its full extent, there was no midway. Be it love or hate, he would fulfil each relationship to its fullest. She still shudders to think that not so long ago her husband and son were at the end of Sanskar's volatile hatred. Had it not been for Swara, who knows what calamity could have resulted. She could feel the pain her son was going through after losing Kavita. And Looking at Swara initially when they announced their marriage shook her. How would Sanskar be happy with the girl who betrayed his own brother? But gradually Swara began making a place of her own in everyone's heart and now she was happy. She still has some doubts about Swara, but if Swara was who made him happy, then so be it. Her poor child deserved all the worlds happiness for once in his life.Durga Prasad was thinking along similar lines. Sanskar was, out of his three sons, the one who had raised his head in pride the most. Yes, they had their fair share of disagreements but they always came out of them with a bond stronger than ever before. And this time, after Sanskar coming back into their lives when they all thought he was dead Durga Prasad made a decision. Durga Prasad vowed to never let him go again. No matter how difficult the situation got and what the argument is about, he is never going to send away his child, or any of his children for that matter, away. He's felt the pain before and won't be able to bear the excruciating pain again. With so much having happened in such a short time, Durga Prasad had revaluated his priorities in life, and nothing was now more important to him than the happiness of his family.
Ragini
Ragini was also preparing for Swara's mehndi whole heartedly. And watching her from the railings was Laksh, lost in his thoughts about his interaction with Swara and Sanskar.
Ragini wanted to make sure that there was only the best for Swara. It finally seemed like things were getting better and her sister was finally happy. Even though, she thought with a mocking amusement, that she was the sole reason for her sisters unhappiness. Her mind was plagued with the thoughts of how deeply she is stuck in the web of deceit she herself made. How can she possibly get out? But she had to! There was no other option. There was no way she could continue on like this. She would never be able to be truly happy by breaking the trust of all the people who have loved her and trusted her. She isn't worthy of their love and support. Never in my life have I done anything wrong. And now that she had, she had crossed all the lines, all the limits. She did every bad deed there is to do. This could not go on for much longer. She needed to make it stop and she knew who would help her.
Unknown to her, someone was staring at her intently, observing here while she got on with her work. He was recalling everything that had transpired between him and Ragini. Everything he did to her, the pain that he must have caused her that she had never revealed to him. She had never once complained to him. Never once blamed him. And he just went on breaking her heart and toying with her feelings. Not once, but again and again making the same mistakes over and over again.
*I promise to take care of her, she is my responsibility now* Laksh thought.
*I've betrayed him. Aur pyaar dhoke se nahi hota* Ragini thought with finality.
Both lost in thought had made a concrete decision and were determined to do the right thing for once. Ragini couldn't go on betraying everyone and Laksh was ready to, for the first time, take responsibilities of his actions.
Closure
Swara and Sanskar were sitting on their bed leaning against the bed frame with Swara laying her head on his shoulder and Sanskar holding her close. They knew that they still had a long tough road ahead of them. There was a lot they still needed to discover about each other. They needed to make things right in the family. Bring Ragini's truth out to everyone and clear Swara and her mother's name. They sat there in comfortable silence before Sanskar spoke. "Swara?" "haan?" she replied, "Swara, I know that this is happening really fast, and I want you to know that no matter what happens, I will always be there for you, I promise to never leave you hand. Swara, After Kavita, I didn't think I had it in me to fall in love again. But I did, I fell so deeply in love with you. I'm not going to lie, I tried my level best to deny it. I thought I would be deceiving Kavita, betraying her memories." He paused to take a breath. This was difficult for him but he needed to let it out. This was the first time he was talking about Kavita so openly. He didn't realise the challenge he had set himself. "Swara, main nahi jaanta ke Kavita kya kehti, par mujhe yeh zaroor pata hai ke tum use bhohot achi lagti." Swara was silent this whole while giving Sanskar the space he needed to get it all out. She held on to his hand while he was talking reassuring him of her unconditional support. "Sanskar, I want to promise you that I will never take Kavita's place in your heart or your life. She was and will always have a special place in your heart. You know what Ma always told me? She said that the heart has the capability to grow indefinitely, there is an infinite amount of space and the infinite capability to love. When you fall in love with someone, your heart creates a spot reserved only for them, and that spot will stay with you forever. And today I see the truth in her words when I look at you. You have so much love in your heart for everyone that there isn't a single person who can complain that you don't love them enough, whether that be the family, or me. Kavita must truly have been an amazing person and I am sure that she would want you to be happy in your life." Swara finished. Sanskar had tears flowing the entire time, he reminisced his time with Kavita, and perhaps this was what he needed to finally begin to achieve closure for losing her. And after what seemed like an eternity he sobbed and fell into Swara's waiting arms who held him tightly against her, giving him strength and showering all the love she could gather. They sat there like that, Swara gently rocking him, soothing his pain. And Sanskar finally grieved.
A while later Sanskar composed himself and muttered a small apology to Swara for which Swara lightly slapped his cheek. "If you are going to apologise to me for sharing your feelings then you are going to get slapped a lot!" "acha baba, at least my sorry count isn't as high as yours" he shot back. "haan toh? I am a very polite person. It's called having good manners." "Acha?" he stared down at her. "Ok fine, from now on I won't say sorry to you." She gave in while he chuckled.
Sanskar went to the bathroom to wash his face after which both of them went downstairs to help with the preparations. But of course, the whole family told them off and they were asked to sit down and do nothing. Until Sanskar had a brilliant idea.
"Swara, I was thinking that everyone is busy working so hard for us, we should also do something for them na?" "Haan, but what? No one is letting us do anything!" She replied. "I think we should cook them all dinner! You wait I'll go tell them all ok!" and without waiting for a response, Sanskar left to tell Durga Prasad his idea. And here Swara was thinking *Hey Bhagwan kahaan fasa diya? I hope Sanskar knows how to cook, because if he doesn't, we are in for some trouble* At the same time she was surprised at his child like excitement and innocence. She was so used to seeing him brooding over one serious matter or another. This was a refreshing change.
Sanskar and Swara moved to the kitchen and Sanskar told her to instruct him and he would do as she says. She looked at him incredulously and said "ok, pick up the phone, call the restaurant and place an order." "what?" he asked. "Haan, toh aur kya, you made this plan without asking me whether I know how to cook or not. Sanskar, the last time I cooked I almost blew up the pressure cooker! What makes you thing I want to cause an explosion here?" She looked at him with mock anger. "Par ab kya karein, I told everyone so proudly that we will cook!" He looked so dejected that Swara pitied his child like grumpy expression and said "Ok, take out your phone and we'll look up a recipe and try it." "Aye aye captian!" After a lot of trial and error, as well as many pots and pans clashing which made everyone outside worried that World war three was going to break out, Swara and Sanskar were able to put together a dinner that looked somewhat edible to them.
They brought the dinner out and placed it on the table while everyone sat down. Bu no one was looking at the food. All eyes were on the chef couple who stood there sheepishly covered in flour and other things with their aprons looking like they had just come back from war. "Yeh sab kya hai!?" Durga Prasad said with anger dripping from his voice. Everyone was hoping for the best, they knew their beloved head of the family and his legendary anger. "Voh, bade papa, hum.." "Bade Papa, hmne... Ummm" Both Swara and Sanskar, tripping over their own words were terrified when all of a sudden they heard something no one was prepared for. Durga Prasad burst out laughing whole heartedly not being able to keep the pretence up any longer and slowly everyone joined in. "aaine mein apne aap ko deko zara. Hmm mehnat toh bohat ki hai tum dono ne." He remarked. "Par Bade Papa, hum dono ko lagta hai ke khaana order kar lete hai. Pata nahi kaisa bana hai." Sanskar commented. "Hum sab yehi khaana khayenge Sanskar." Annapurna said still giggling at them.
Swara and Sanskar waited with bated breaths but to their amazement, everyone loved the food and began eating whole heartedly. And it was decided, that once a week Swara and Sanskar would cook for the entire house, much to Swara's chagrin. She whispered in Sanskar's ear "Dekha, tumhare is brilliant plan ke waja se we'll have to cook every week. We managed today, but think of the war of the utensils that happened." Sanskar smiled at his adorable wife and replied "are, think of the positives!" "What is positive about this situation?" she retaliated. "Well, for one, we will have a lot of time for some romantic moments..." He implied, and she blushed thinking about the few moments they did share in the kitchen when they weren't trying to murder each other.
