Hey!
I've been a silent member of this forum for quite a long time now. Time didn't permit me to be active here earlier. But some of the authors here are so good with words that the beautiful labyrinth that they had created forced me to break my silence. And I'm not a bit sorry about that.Coming to your work. You are an awesome writer. The way you have portrayed and described each character forced me to look into the different layers of their personality. The main ones being Sanskar, Sharmishta, Ragini and Kavita. These characters have seriously caught my fancy. There is one thing common about all the four. Whatever they did or is doing is due to the loss or fear of losing a loved one.Sanskar. He is like a mirror covered with dust. The innate goodness in him and the love & care he has for his Shona is covered with hate and the thirst of revenge. His loss has blinded him. The pain of losing a loved one had blinded him to the pain he was going to cause to the people who loves him the most. The deep hatred has clogged his heart and mind. Once that hatred is removed, all that will remain is pure love and affection. And the one whom he is all set to destroy will be the one to do the honors. The next one is Sharmishta. She is strong, independent and level-headed. But there is a fear deep inside her heart. The fear of losing a loved one. How much ever calm and composed she may look, the loss of the love of her life would have definitely wounded her soul. The next thing she holds the dearest to her is her daughter. She couldn't have afforded to lose her. What she said to Sanskar not just for Swara to become independent. There was a tad bit of selfishness too. She didn't want her daughter to drift apart from her. And when she saw that her daughter choosing her friend over her mother, she became insecure. But the root cause this selfishness, possessiveness and insecurity was the fear of losing her daughter. There might have another reason too behind Sharmishta's behavior. She had loved and lost her love. She had seen the ugly side of a relationship. Her belief on love might have faltered. She wants to protect her daughter from a similar fate. She wanted to save Swara from the hurt. The growing closeness between Swara and Sanskar bothered her. She might have felt that it may turn into something more than love in future. Her vision was tinted by her own experience and the disbelief in love. So to prevent another heartbreak, she separated Swara and Sanskar. The next one is Kavita. I don't know if it's true, but the way you described the conversation between Kavita and Sanskar made me feel that Kavita already had feelings for Sanskar. May be not love, but more than friendly feelings. I found a slight undertone of insecurity and jealousy in her. She might have been insecure about the closeness between Swara and Sanskar. With Swara's presence in his life, she might not have been able to make a place for herself.I wonder, if Sharmishta hadn't taken Swara away from Sanskar, would the scenario be same? Would Sanskar have fallen in love with Kavita? Would he have even befriended her? Maybe no. She would have been alive and Swara-Sanskar may have been much more than best friends. Then there is Ragini. The sweet, innocent and docile Ragini has turned into something dangerous. The loss of her love has killed her innocence. And now she is ready to go to any extent to get back her love. You are too good with words, Sakura. The way you write makes me feel the very essence of the story. I'm looking forward to read more. Please pm me for the next update if possible.Oops! Sorry! My rant was too long. Never realized it. By the way, I'm Ashi. Please continue the story soon. :)
