Part 4
Swaragini walked in discussing something very important.
That's the way it is ragini-said Swara stating the fact.
Its not that easy Swara said ragini raising her voice.
The two walked in to the kitchen, had some water, still talking. They were so engrossed that they failed to notice sharmishtha, dadi and dida who were present in the kitchen. Their argumentive talk was noticed and herd by all the three. After swaragini left from there, sharmishtha out of concern went behind them to check on what was the matter of discussion.
When sharmishtha reached the room, she found Swara going through her books and could her ragini humming in the shower. She walked in and asked Swara-
What's the matter?
Swara who was very much engrossed in her books was taken by jerk when she heard sharmishtha. She looked at a concerned sharmishtha and said-
Nothing ma.
Something is going on...why were you two arguing? Tell me shona...
Swara gave in and said-
Its ragini and Laksh...
And there she could see lines of tension and concern on her mother's face. Swara held sharmishtha's hand and assured her-
It will be alright ma, I will talk to Laksh and gave her ma a assuring smile.
Sharmishtha returned the smile and left.
Ragini returned drying her hair and humming her favorite tune. Swara was very much into her books to notice her. After quite sometime, Swara got up to take a shower when ragini made the move to talk in a song way-
Haul kaisa hai janaab ka?
Swara chuckled at her sister's antics and replied in the same way-
Kya khayal hai aap ka?
Ragini smiled and continued-
Baat karni hai aap se..
Swara replied-
Kariye toh him jawab De...
Swara looked at her sis and the duo laughed at what was a very foolish way of interaction. Swara sat beside ragini on their bed and said-
Its going to be alright ragini..
Ragini looked down at the floor, not meeting swara's eyes replied-
I and Laksh...will we be happy Swara?
Swara held ragini's chin up and could see her moist eyes. The two quickly embraced for a sisiterly comfort. Swara patted ragini's back and said-
I will talk to him. Don't worry.
After comforting ragini, Swara went for a shower.
Later that night, ragini had slept after some weeping while Swara had stayed back to work on her study.
Next morning
The gang moved to canteen after 2 lectures to find Swara and Sanskar talking over tea. Ragini and adarsh went ahead to join them while Laksh and pari were too shocked at the scene ahead.
Laksh asked-
And what's this now pari?
Pari said-
I hope not a dream.
Laksh pinched her arm for an ouch from her and the two joined the rest.
While leaving college for home, Swara decided to leave with Laksh. Ragini left with Sanskar. On the way-
Without wasting any time, Laksh asked-
What's going on? You and Sanskar...
Swara replied with a smirk-
What do you think?
And that shocked Laksh-
What?? Asked Laksh with a sudden break.
Swara laughed at his reaction and said-
Its nothing of that sort Laksh. He had asked me to be his partner for state level competition on paper presentation. He needed someone good at economics and so...
Laksh laughed at the news and said-
So he chose the brilliant Swara gaddodia... God this guy... Laksh started the bike and continued the ride when Swara said-
You and ragini should break up...
Laksh shook his head sideways indicating a NO.
Swara hit him on his shoulder and saidthen why do you fight so much? She cried yesterday. You both should think about your relationship Laksh..
There's nothing to think Swara. Our relationship started way back in school when we were in 10th and at that time it was nothing. But, today after almost 5 years I know what she means to me. Oye families have agreed for marriage after 3 years down the line...so, there is no question of breaking up- said Laksh in one breath.
Then...why is there is distance between you two...- asked Swara
May be cause you two need to spend some time together- said Sanskar advising.
Ragini nodded in agreement and continued-
We should... I hope we make it right. Its been long since we had a proper talk. I feel like we have lost that understanding...
It will be alright- said Swara patting laksh's shoulder.
And they all reached baadi at the same time. Ragini was sitting behind sanskar and opposite them were Laksh and Swara seated behind him. The sisters got down. Sanskar parked the scooty and sat behind Laksh to go back home. Swaragini looked at sanlak.
Ragini and Laksh had a mix of emotions running through them from love, confusion to doubt while Swara and Sanskar exchanged smiles.
After reaching home, Laksh retired to his room and dozed off after thinking much about him and ragini whereas Sanskar worked on his project. Sanskar had chosen swara as his partner not just because she was good at economics but cause he wanted to know what she thought of him. He wanted to figure out her odd behavior with him and this was a chance to get to know her. And the discussion today over tea had confused him more. She talked to him only about the project and nothing else. She was all smiles like she does with him and nothing strange about it- he thought.
With so much running in his mind he fell asleep with a alarm set for early morning as he had a meeting with Swara tomorrow in library.
