Yeah, I was reminded of Kaikeyi (and to a lesser extent, Gandhari), while conceiving my characterization of Annapurna for this piece. And it was so uncanny, the way you referenced Nur Jahan--Shah Jahan...I was so thrilled that you "got" what I was thinking, when I wrote this! 😊

A couple of other characters which I had in the back of my mind: Mrs Boynton (Appointment with Death, Agatha Christie), and Kate Blackwell (Master of the game, Sidney Sheldon).

Am so very happy that you liked this. Truthfully, when I conceived this, I was not very sure if many people would like this much focus on Annapurna. But, as I said in my reply to an earlier comment, her character just spoke "Fire" to me. 😊 I can just imagine how Swara's water dominated character is going to prevail over Annapurna's fire dominated one (Of course Swara will have able support and partnership with the one who has Earth in their sign...any guesses who that is?? 😊)

yup..got it😉. I'll go with saying the name of the person starts with S...but there are after all two S's in MM. I'd be happy if it were the less obvious one. but then its your story to tell. so you will tell it...i will be content to be amazed when you do.⭐️

and Mrs boynton the ex warden...thought about her...and then lennox and his wife...nadine...but by then i had already finished commenting...and had to go back to my office presentation.😆

nd viji...i have learned one thing...no matter which ingredient of the dish stands out the most...ultimately it depends upon the chef...that which dish will be the most palatable. So AP or whoever, its you who are the star of the story..the writer.👏

didn't like it at all ... na da ... not a bit ...

... Are you freaking kidding me! why is this a one shot ? ... seriously forget swasan, i just want to stay in annapurna's head ... its going to magical, manipulative, scheming place ... eee !!!!! why why why ... why do you write pieces like this and end them abruptly ... this deserves a full length story

Seriously, you need to stop writing OS and write a novella ... i want to stay with your characters ... I have been on this site for 8-9 years and have read a grand total of 10 FF .. but you have me hooked ... in fact i think part of my interest in the serial is because of the "possibilities" you write ... bec the actual tv writing is patchy at best

Next - EArth! .. SANSKAR!!!! ... you better make it long viji (supervises with a belan in hand) ... if you are going to make us wait for 10 days then pls pls make it extra long ... And pls do PM me, i'm leaving the forum for a while - have exams coming up but will pop in to read what you write

... bah! ... i hate talented people .. they give me an inferiority complex .. *sticks out her tongue*

Ahh gal... u jus make me clean bowled every time with ur pieces! And for a change I must say I loved your take on Annapoorna more than swasan this time! Seriously a very beautiful character analysis! 👏👏👏

And as for the quotes... as usual LOVED THEM!🤗

And yeah, I guess it was an intentional mention of the 'left thigh' but it did give me a really gleeful joy on reading that! A huge fan of Indian mythos u see! 😉

the way u described AP was fantastic clearly we see that he is partial towards her children where as sanskar cared her as much as he cared his maaa

but we cant blame her either every maa wants herchildren's happiness

lets see what will swara's view on AP's proposal

With the utmost interest, I have gone through this OS n it just made me so Happy.. Please continue to Air as well 😳 n if you could make another series based on other elements, Would b a treat 😆 😳

matlab.. the way you have given justice to Annapurna's character of how she thinks and what she does.. Amazing !

Sanskar was no surprise coz he is a rebel known n shown to us.. But still.. It was worth reading..

N Swara.. leme give u a hug here.. From where they started to the point they have reached, all through swara's pov was one heartfelt read.. Sanskaar is always shielding her.. always !

I loved the end part to it.. Sanskar entwining his fingers to her reassuring her.. Thats what he does always no.. Picking her up from ashes !
