There was some dilly - dally within , on deciding about which piece to comment first!
Old sins cast long shadow, I decided to comment after reading once more
"Ek chutki sindhoor" ki kimat tum kya jaanoge sanskaar baabu?😛
Aur "Ek chutki sindhoor" ki kimat koi isse behtar samjha nahi sakthe the, Viji😊
Starting from your little introduction on how you don't like MU between your fav couples (I am with you, too) to the most evident part , except to the most clueless ones- Absloute treat.
As always, it is just not the story ,but, lines, details and the portrayal of characters and emotions that you so beautifully, delicately and intricately weave and present before us that takes the all the charm! 👏
*The starting lines giving a rusted moody set up explaining the condition of SwaSan's relationship indicating the rustiness that needs to be scrapped off!
The line on how Swara would have fervently hoped that " the offending bird would soon land up on her neighbour's plate' - It's lines like these that describe the condition, mindset of the individual! Truly, as much as i enjoyed this line, it also made me look at the depths of how such mindless, irritating rants sometimes stop bothering you when you have something bigger overpowering your mind!
*I liked the transition of how Swara realised her true feelings for Sanskaar! The teaming up to unmask Ragini to the board games they played.
*The stealing glances and the smile of Sanskaar's somehow, made me glad, to know as the reasons for her love!😆
*I am so glad that you touched upon Ragini and gave a sensible closure to both her absence as well as her madness!😛
"What medicine could a Psychiatrist prescribe, for evil corrupting a once pristine soul?"👏
Loved the part on how people fail to see the truth that life moves on and how they presume emotions to remain stagnant , described really well through that cryogenic store line!
Truly the villians, if ever, oppose to Swasan's relation apart from Lakshya has to be , Shekar and Annapurna , with one being too foolish and influenced and the other, obviously for the opposite- Clever and influential!
*The comparisons between Lakshya and Shekar is indeed an apt one for all the reasons mentioned by you. Both being puppets to people and seemingly never use their brains and when they do- 🤢. Also, somehow, they cannot come in terms to accept and respect women! They just think whatever they do is fine and their "woman" supposedly, have to forgive and come back to them!
Such self-centered men! Even in their so called guilt and redemption, all that they see, is proving their love (?) and not on being shameful for their deeds.
Lakshya's behaviour towards Swara and Shekar's much dramatized apology to Sharmishta . (I so disliked Sharmishta agreeing to forgive Shekar track ) Maybe it is their similarities that propelled Shekar to love the idea of uniting Swara with Lakshya here.
*The parts on how AP and shekar force Swara to keep visiting MM , now that is something that wouldn't surprise me if it happens on the show.
*Of course my fav part, the way Sanskaar tries to be inconspicuous and the moment Swara utters a painful cry, he is there beside her caring and comforting her😳
The lines on how if this was all that it took Sanskaar to show his care, how she would have willingly scalded her fingers!
*Sujatha's part was a real fun to read. How she had planned all lavish sarees for Swara and herself and all that went just unrewarded . Sujatha is truly one piece who i love for her hilarious dialouges and comic timings! ( You should seriously consider writing one Os on our hilarious sujju😛) I loved the monologue of her on her Jiji and her plans to unite her bahu with that spineless Lakshya!
Her attempts to reconcile her son and bahu was heart warming.
The entire scene that followed in 'their' bedroom😃. The attempts to hide and reveal. Their emotions especially Sanskaar's is portrayed so well, viji.👏
The explanation regarding the symbolic nature of sindoor and how it depicts their relation and isn't the substance of their relationship. Needed yet so not necessary. An identification yet not an identity. The mature swara explaining the love that they share. How palpable👍🏼
*Swara devi, jai ho".Sanskaar's jealousy over Rumi and him asking it as "Who is this Rumi, dude?" Aww i so miss that camaraderie SwaSan shared! 😔
A great feel good story, Viji. The best part about your writing is, though it might have one emotion as a theme, yet, the streaks of other emotions as much as thin strokes they seem to be, just give the right colour! Those little nuances of various characters and lines seems to complete your sketch brilliantly!⭐️
P.S.- I have read your TS- Old sins cast long shadow. I am going to read it again and then write about it.
Regarding your other works, have just few parts left, which hopefully ,I should be able to complete this week ! 😃
As always, keep writing more and more and many more, dear Viji. We all just seem to be too greedy and you see to it that we remain so.🤗
And yes, Congrats on your index. How very useful. Now we can find all your masterpieces at one place😃
