Viji heyyy... :)
Hey Neha 🤗🤗🤗You Know what...i was all grumpy about travelling on a sunday.. hate it when my version of a perfect sunday is challenged.. n yesterday.. well.. i was sure it had been sent for a toss somewhere in the clouds.. Couldn't have been more wrong though.. :)).. yeah woke up early which is blasphemy for me on a holiday but thats about it.. airport lounges always make for perfect reading places n with your swasan tale i was smiling in no time.. :).. thank you dearo.. for the travel wishes n your story..
🤗 😳 I am pretty similar in that respect---I love traveling, but that's when its travel for holidays with family. 😆 Business/ official travel on weekends really gets me down too---especially if I have to give up my Sunday for that. 😉
I am just so thrilled and touched to know that you read and relished this OS while you were in transit. Glad I could drive away the travel blues 😆, and thanks so much, for those very warm and lovely words about my writing.A total filmy title this one.. hehe.. n a perfect foil to the deep emotions that youve captured here... i love the way you pay attention to each n every character that you chose to write upon.. they are so well rounded.. n not just Swasan.. though they do make other fade out eventualy..yeah.. but then each character seems to have their own motivations n goals too.. n doin this in succint single narrative is not an easy task at all.. great work there totally..
😆 Yeah, I was grinning to myself when I decided on the title. This was when I was in a romantic haze over SwaSan's sindhoor marriage, and all those OLV's on SBB/SBS going gaga over "Swara ki maang mein Sanskaari sindhoor" 😳 I'm really very glad to know you loved the portrayal of all the characters' emotions in this OS---SwaSan as well as the supporting/ parallel characters.
I do try to do that in most of my work---mostly centered on and revolving around SwaSan, of course, but developing the back stories, emotions and thoughts of the secondary/ parallel characters as well. When convenient and time permits, you could read my Elements and Mahabharata Analogy series on SwaSan. There's a lot there on Durga Prasad, Annapurna and Ram Prasad. Sujju too, to a certain degree. And my Music Series covers Ragini's redemption, the way I would have liked to see it. 😊Sanskar in love is perfection for me.. yeah i have no clue what perfect is but Sanskar sure is ... giving his everything n then some more when he knew that swara reciprocating would be like finally finding that elusive golden deer..a mere mirage... yes.. his love story was supremely tragic from the moment he accepted his feelings.. but he didnt drown in those emotions rather he evolved a better human being.. n gave it all for his lady love.. n i loved the way he was proud about it.. n never wanted Swara to love him back out of obligation or duty or anything else.. Therefore setting free n killing his own self every passing minute seemed like an easier task for him.. though he just ended up being a tad bit stupid too.. unable to accept the fact that Swara could love him back the same way too.. yeah love does make us do stupid things.. totally get that.. the way Swara makes him drop his guard is awe-worthy.. the way she pulls him back from the wallows of isolation that he had plunged himself into made me fall more for my fave two..
I did see Sanskaar as being very resolute and absolutely selfless in his love. He adores Swara irrevocably, with a potent, deep, unconditional adoration that is so pure, so intense. He would never want to selfishly force her to be with him, out of a sense of obligation or duty. It would, in a way, feel like cheapening his own love for her; and he would never want to degrade his feelings by turning them into a selfish, covetous emotion.
Where I saw this OS playing out, was if Sanskaar felt Swara was feeling bound to him only because of the traditional symbols of marriage, which carried such great significance for her. What he doesn't realize---which a very deeply in love, decisive Swara explains to him---is, that for her, the sindhoor was only a symbol of their bond. Not the substance of the bond itself. She loves him, wants to be married to him, wants to lead her life with him, standing by each other every inch of the way, making each other happy.Swasan here are just as i know them to be... giving it all up for love.. n i love those references between laksh n shekhar.. two kindred souls totally.. not essentially bad but entirely weak.. n ap the over zealous mother are very well etched even in their little appearances.. sujata is a treat..
Yeah, I did feel that Lakshya and Shekar are similar in many ways---though of late, Lakshya does seem to have improved considerably beyond Shekar's benchmark. 😊 Aakhir Sanskaar ka chota bhai hai na! 😉
Both Shekar and Lakshya are essentially good natured people, but lack a strong conviction, spine and will of their own. It enables people with twisted agendas (like Dadi, and like what Ragini was in the past), to manipulate them, emotionally blackmail them and pull the wool over their eyes.
So very happy you loved the portrayal of AP and Sujju here, the emotions coursing through them. If this interests you, do give my Elements and Mahabharata series a try, as I mentioned before. I do hope you'll like them, and look forward to your feedback on those, whenever time permits. 🤗🤗I wouldnt actually have minded a second sindoor marriage to be honest... filmy haan but a treat nonetheless... hehe.. yeah m greedy for Swasan but they make me want more n more kya karu.. swasan n you are the ones to blame not me 😆...N the shock on the faces of few would have been so fulfilling too 😆
I wouldn't have minded a second, or even a third sindhoor marriage, come to that. 😉 😳 That's such a n iconic moment from the serial no? Just magical, poetic in its sheer poignant intensity. For this OS, I thought I would make them just gently tease each other about it, though. It might probably have been too much of a shock for AP, Shekar and Lakshya. 😆 😆 Though it might certainly have been thrilling to see the shock on their faces. 😉I just ended up writing an essay.. hope you dont mind... i just dont know where to stop.. sorry 😳.
Yikes...sorry? For leaving such an analytical, insightful and absolutely warm comment? 😲 Neha my dear---remember Sunny boy's golden rule of friendship---No Sorrys allowed! 🤗🤗🤗 I just loved your comment, made my day yesterday!Bye till i read another one..
See you soon. 😳 🤗Lots of loveNeha
