The first scene we see between Karan and Kunal is Kunal wanting to hug his brother and Karan was being very rude to Kunal to keep him at arms length. I don't doubt the fact that he loves Karan. That is fairly clear. But this would have been going on for years. Even Karan's defenses would have been buit up over time. It is still slightly illogical as to why nobody in the family tried to find out more. Kunal would have been young himself earlier so not him then but others? And later when Kunal grew up? I don't think he tried enough. Also, that's the point na, doesn't Kunal know the disease is infectious? So Karan refusing to hug shouldn't be surprising for him. Another thing, Karan and Sandhya are not the only source of people to find out about his disease. There is supposed to be a doctor involved, there are medical reports etc. So no matter how much Sandhya manipulates, they can find out something. Infact, I think Sandhya is lying about some stuff about his disease too maybe, so I don't expect the family to know the truth but they don't even seem to know Sandhya's version well. I think despite their best intentions, there was apathy towards Karan. And the blame is on everyone, more on the elders but Kunal and Khyati as well since they have been grown ups for quite some time now.

I think Dadu pointed out somewhere that he didn't have enough time for NK. NK has a major inferiority complex and has been using his sons as a way to accommodate for that. I think in his own way Kunal has also been the victim of his dad's high expectations. I don't think that is an easy thing to deal with.

I absolutely do not want Kunal to be related to that Sandhya. He doesn't deserve that at all. But I fear that they might do it. For what its worth though, I don't think they are going to bring down Kunal to give Karan a push. Their chosen fields will be different and Karan will be successful on his own there. Also, they have to build the brothers' relationship now considering it has been strained. So anything that happens will only help them come closer and bond.

Karan's breakdown is a positive thing. Breakdowns, refusals & anger clears your emotions and leads you forward. Sandy till now, has tried to keep him detached from everyone and accumulate all emotions inside him. Once he gets rid of those blocked feelings, the journey of success begins right from there😃

Nami Di would remember, all of us wanted multiple breakdowns jn front of different people - with Kunal, with Naina, with Nirmala etc etc. I'm so glad we are getting it. And exactly, its a good and necessary starting point for Karan.

I second Sona here. More than once I've felt Kunal doesn't know Sandy's version as well. And this is really very SAD. :/

Yep!! We've been waiting for a breakdown since the wedding.

@Malika, I agree that there is more to Sandy and her secret.
I feel someone died and the Chauhaan's responsible. They made her promises which they forgot and Sandy just went about ruining the relationships.
No one even feel or see what has been done to them.
Dadu really does seem to know Sandhya yet he let her have free reign of Karan?? Something doesn't jive!!
