Vrish we know you hate Kunti but this thread is open to all both admirer and non admirer so you are free to share your opinion because you know how to put them in nice words.
Neither I am an admirer of Kunti. But yes I like certain points about her.

correct, even i always felt Kunti was a powerful woman, bt people keep glorifying Draupadi, as if she was the only woman in the Epic who was strong..

Draupadi is a great woman. But I think Kunti had more to do in the epic. I can explain why I think so.. Draupadi glorification is absolutely fine but for me it is Kunti first.. If u see her, she also was a strong woman and she had the power to get what she wanted (without screaming and shouting and cursing and being crazy)!

ya i knw even she was a strong woman, i meant she wasn't the only woman in the epic who was strong, bt many people failed to notice that, coz of these reasons even i feel she was more stronger.. (without screaming and shouting and cursing and being crazy)

Firstly, this is a thread on Kunti...so let's keep it like that. If people start comparing her with Draupadi, Gandhari n all...rhen it would let to terrible debates...Let's keep this thread peaceful.

Secondly, I agree with Brishti...Kunti was a very very powerful woman n she get things done her way.
Unlike Draupadi or Gandhari, she was extremely shrewd n diplomatic.
There is no comparison between Draupadi n Kunti bcoz the latter was cunning n diplomatic while the other was intelligent n straightforward...Both were different personalities...

The reason y people glorify Draupadi is bcoz her husbands are the protagonists of the epic...If the story had revolved around Pandu then, Kunti would have been the heroine n would have been glorified...

And not only Draupadi n Kunti...but Satyavati too was a strong woman...In fact, Mahabharat provides us great examples of strong n powerful women...So, there's no need to draw comparisons.

As for screaming n shouting...well I guess both Kunti n Draupadi suffered a lot but in different ways...
One lost her husband while the other lost her children n honour...If Kunti had been staked by her husband, assaulted by her dewar, kidnapped by her nanad's husband n molested again by a pervert like Keechak, then maybe she too would have started cursing everyone around...So...let's not draw comparisons...

Nonetheless...I feel Kunti was a dynamic character...She made mistakes but showed the world how a woman can make things happen...Almost half of the things in the epic can be attributed to Kunti's intelligence...
So...good or bad, I like this woman...maybe a few things she did are really really unfair...but overall she was dynamic.

And though she had let Karna down...she was an awesome mother to the Pandavas.

I think that screaming and shouting and cursing and being crazy part was said about not Draupadi but her star version context. And all these shows are tend to show Kunti a very meek and weak character that certainly Kunti was not.
