Brishti, it is very hard to explain Kunti & more difficult to understand her unless one has not gone through at least 10% of what she suffered. And that is an entirely different thing. So I don't wanna waste time in explaining Kunti. I like her, support her. She wasted her life but saved more lives from getting wasted. Kunti is a person of a different kind & not all can digest her.

She was a strong willed woman and knew how to work around the patriarchal society of that time, I will give her that. The fact that she raised her step-sons more lovingly than her own is beautiful too.

I do agree that Kunti is one of the strongest characters of the epic. I admire her strength and I respect the shrewd way in which she manipulated events and people. I sympathize with her sufferings but I really do not like her.

Here I will also mention that I really like the actress and most of the time she is on screen I am busy staring at her face and body language.

The actress here is the same who played Rukmini in 'Dwarakadheesh Bhagvan Shri Krishn'. Unfortunately, her health problems - she was unable to handle Baroda - caused her to leave the show, and a replacement for her was found pretty late, and pretty mediocre. I thought that she had let go of the biggest opportunity that she had to make it big, at least in the mytho genre.

Her face and body language is great, but last time as Rukmini, her diction really sucked - she doesn't do well w/ the shudh language that one requires in mythos or ancient history. Hopefully she's fixed that this time - I don't wanna see her get replaced as Kunti. In DBSK, it was bizarre - Jambavati doing the Tulabharam solution instead of Rukmini, and Jambavati & Satyabhama alternating as Krishna's chief queens - here, they can't exactly bring Madri or Gandhari in to do Kunti's roles, particularly vis a vis Karna
