And yeah, we had a show on MB in which Karna rocked more than others, another one on Karna where Arjuna is rocking, now one on Rama where Lakshmana is the eye-catcher. I stopped watching it after seeing a sleepy Sree Rama. I love Rama very much. So cannot tolerate such a portrayal. (No offence intended)

N i also like ravan more . IMO he didn't lusted for her. He was obsessed by her beauty n purity tht he wanted to worship her and wanted her as a jewel in lanka.. Opps gaawwdd this too is pre heated oven...

Krishnaa, CC or CNAT, both are almost same when we people are around there.😆 I sometimes feel bad for poor Ravana. What all ffs have been written on him. People have made him even lust on his own daughter, which I believe to be utter nonsense. He abducted Seetha, but also had the dignity to not touch her without her consent. And again there is some cooked story of curse to erase this. Some people say Seetha was as powerful as a man.(Which I kinda believe as she directly called Rama "a woman under man's skin"). So Ravana did not want to test her strength.😆 But on the other side, he forgot poor Mandodari.

I was told that Ravan is worshipped in Kerala...

Well...I am not aware of Ramayan much...
And I too believed in Inversion Theory in Ramayan...but that was till I came to know of Ravan raping Nalkubera's wife... 😭
I dont know in which version of Ramayan it is there but I got to know it from Quora n then from Siya Ke Ram forum...
If that is true then all his scholarly works get eclipsed... 😭

As per Devdutta Pattanaik's book...Sita had drawn Ravan's image underneath her bed which was discovered by her dasis.
Thus it was decided that even after 10 years she could not forget Ravan...so there must have been something between them. Only after that she is asked to leave.

I have been told this by a friend. I am not a fan of Devdutta Pattanaik n dont spend an ounce of my pea-sized salary buying his books... 😆 So...just stating wat I heard.

😲 Ravana raped Nala-Kubera's wife? That I am coming across for the first time. I like Rama more. But cannot take such a stupidity on Ravana. Had he already been a rapist, why did he wait for Seetha to accept him herself? I don't get that. I too am not much aware of Valmiki Ramayna. I have read only in bits and pieces. So not sure whether it is a part of it.

Yes.
Apparently Lanka belonged to Kubera...but Ravana usurped it.
And somewhere he had raped Nalkubera's wife...
This has been stated by people who seem to be quite knowledgeable about Ramayan...but for details...we will have to ask questions there.

Actually that is where the curse comes into play.
Apparently Nalkubera's wife had cursed him that if he touches any other woman n tries to force himself on her then he will die or something like.

Though I dont believe in curses...but maybe Ravan did...being a man of olden days... 😆

I googled on that Amrita. It is from Uttara Khanda of Valmiki Ramayana which many scholars consider to be a later addition. Full Ramayana story is there in Vana Parva of MB also. But it ends with Rama Pattabhisheka. So I think Uttara Khanda is a later addition happened after MB.
