Thanks for opening up EDT thread...😛

Though my entry over here is a bit late...but i enjoyed reading all the posts till now. All of them are knowledgeable as well as enjoyable & yes suta putra jaap is getting intolerable.

I could not understand why are sutas ordered to live in caves... could not CVs come up with a simple village with horses and stables along with chariot wheels and wagons station that would have been much better and agreeable set than the caves.

And what is this that under Dhritarashtra's rule suta's standard of living has detoriated becoz of the influence of Shakuni. Dhritarsahtra was not an unjust ruler...he was blind in his son's love. And even if Dhritarashtra has passed such an illogical rule against Sutas... what is Bheeshma & Vidura doing to stop such unjustness 😕 🤢

Karna-Vaishali 😛 ahh loving the chottu packets of energy & shon too... they have liven up the show from illogical plots

Now that I have finally joined here 😊, hope I will appear from time to time...although I am very irregularly regular nowadays 😆

Yes..totally agree. It all depends on the readers and viewers perspective. Hero or anti hero, certain characters have that undeniable charisma, posture, and virtue. Karna is that character.

Come to think of it, what if, on the flipside, CVs show that Draupadi also fell for him, without knowing that he is a suta? 😕😆

Tragic Draupadi 😆

or may be Karna wont participate saying sorry I love my Vaishu 😳

Vrish..the chariot getting stuck into the earth is the Bhoomi devi's curse.🤓 The Brahmin cow owner curse was that he would die helplessly. Right ? 🤔

Bhoomidevi curse isnt there in the epic.. Cow owner cursed him to die helplessly and was kind enough to tell him how that will happen.. looks like Karna never took it serious.. else he would have trained himself on bringing chariot wheels out...

One day he roved on the sea-coast by the side of that asylum. Indeed, Surya's son, armed with bow and sword, wandered alone, While thus employed, O Partha, he inadvertently slew, without witting it, the Homa cow of a certain utterer of Brahma who daily performed his Agnihotra rite. Knowing that he had perpetrated that act from inadvertence, he informed the Brahmana of it. Indeed Karna, for the object of gratifying the owner, repeatedly said, 'O holy one, I have killed this thy cow without wilting it. Forgive me the act!' Filled with wrath, the Brahmana, rebuking him, said these words, 'O thou of wicked conduct, thou deservest to be killed. Let the fruit of this act be thine, O thou of wicked soul. While fighting him, O wretch whom thou always challengest, and for whose sake thou strivest so much every day, the earth shall swallow the wheel of thy car! And while the wheel of thy car shall thus be swallowed up by the earth, thy foe, putting forth his prowess, will cut off thy head, thyself being stupefied the while! Leave me, O vile man! As thou hast heedlessly slain this my cow, even so wilt thy foe cut off thy head while thou shalt be heedless!' Though cursed, Karna still sought to gratify that foremost of Brahmanas by offering him kine and wealth and gems. The latter, however, once more answered him, 'All the words will not succeed in falsifying the words spoken by me! Go hence or remain, do whatever thou likest.' Thus addressed by the Brahmana, Karna, hanging down his head from cheerlessness, returned timidly to Rama, reflecting on that matter.'

Always. The mutual admiration was evident in their conversation and top of that karna's beer hug to Krishna. He also said we will meet in heaven something like that

How did I miss all this?
I know that Karna respected Lord Krishna n maybe Lord Krishna respected his warrior skills...but I dont think it was any kind of forbidden love...If Lord Krishna really loved and admired Karna so much, then he would have found out a way to make Karna's life better... I feel all those conversations were kind of battle strategy...
But that is strictly my opinion...I could be wrong...
I think I have to read those parts again to feel what u are trying to imply... 😕
Not sure.

Forbidden in the sense since they both were in opposite sides so they couldn't show their admiration to each other . And I feel Krishna really wanted to bring karna to their side because he again makes same request to him when bheeshma was senapati.and karna didn't participate in war. That request seemed to me quite desperate from Krishna's side. But Krishna's love for Arjun stopped him to do anything for Karna though he wanted to. From Karna's side the love was more evident though. Damn this reminds me srj and aham hug in starb I miss them
