Anyway, last 2 days - Karna falls into the dry well and battles snakes inside. He slashes 1 snake w/ his dagger, and it becomes an Yaksharaj. The Yaksharaj then asks him questions - similar to Yama-Yudisthir. Finally, he tells Karna that Karna can ask him 3 questions, and if Karna can stump him, he'll grant him a boon. Karna asks him 2 questions about the division of society on caste lines, asking why vaishas & shudras have to live menial lives, while brahmins & kshatriyas prosper. Yaksharaj tells him that it's due to their past sins. Karna's 3rd question is - then why do brahmins & kshatriyas misbehave now? Is it out of a desire to get reborn as vaishas & shudras? 🤣 Yaksharaj concedes and asks him for a boon. Karna asks for the well to be refilled. Yaksharaj grants that and the well gets filled, and Karna erupts out of the well like a volcano, much to everybody's delight

The villagers offer Karna the ownership of the well, and he announces that he's giving that in daan to the villagers. This infuriates the village chief, and he & his aides leave humiliated. Later, one of the aides poison the well, and that's reported to Karna, Adiratha etc.

In the meantime, in Hastinapur, Dhritarashtra gets the news of Yudisthir's birth. Celebrations break out, and Karna too gets the news of Yudisthir's birth and the celebrations. In the meantime, the general who's been after Karna is w/ Shakuni, witnessing him re-stabbing himself in the knees for the birth of Yudisthir. (So Karna's enemies benefactor is Shakuni 😆 Wonder how Karna will be pals w/ Dury?)
