But I have another concept... till now in SPK vrishali is winning the match over karna regarding the Greatest Daanveer title... 😛 for the last 5k years that title was owned by one n only karna... 😳 but I am sure after this show that title will go to vrishali forever... 😃

Lets admit it, its very hard to evoke emotions by just abidign through the 'real story.' Its natural that in a majority of shows, story writers may be inspired by such retelling and folk tales. Sorry can't give you citation right now from the top of my head, but from what I've read, one of duryodhan's good traits was that he loved only Bhanumati deeply.

Thanks for pointing that out, I'm probably wrong about the arjun subhadhra thing.:) But I'm curious. even if balam did want it, he must have gotten duryodhan's conset no?

From wat I know...Balram loved Duryodhan as his student n wanted Subhadra to get a husband like him...My knowledge about this part of the epic is hazy...but I dont think he made any official mention of wat he wanted.

..but it was not intentional...it was absolutely under circumstances...dury-Bhanu too much love was only mentioned by writers in later versions and other stories ...they were hubby-wify just like the other hubby-wify in mb...neither dury ever promised...nor Bhanu ever expected that he will nt take any other wife...that is why when balaram wanted to give marriege of subadra to dury then nobody objected... But yes I seems both dury-Bhanu had content married life... 😳 ...becoz I had read some where that bhanu's ist choice was karna (even Bengali kasidasi Mb says karna won her In sawamver and gave her marriage with dury )..even dury knew that ...but still he never suspected their relation..

Ved vayas Mb says Karna did not had any khastriya wife...he had wife or wives...but all were from suta caste...atleast he said so to lord Krishna.. 😊all his khastriya wife/wives are later additions by kaliyugi writers... but in SPK his ist wife is from khastriya caste?????? 😆

Devika is clearly mentioned in Adi Parva, while summarizing the wives of the Pandavas. She was the daughter of King Shibi.

There is nothing about whether Duryodhan was monogamous or not. There is no mention of any Bhanumati in Vyasa, although in some other places, she's mentioned as the sister of Susharma, the ruler of Trigartha. Whereas the abduction that Duryodhan and Karna did was that of a princess of Kalinga. That kingdom's ruler who fought on the Kaurava side in the war was Shrutayudha, who died while trying to protect Jayadrath on day 14
