FF- Musings of a Rebel(Chapter 2 Upd Pg5-Karna's Story)

Authors Note

This Idea came to me while discussions were on where we tend to relate happenings in Mahabharat epic to present situations. I thought of just making an attempt to atleast try writing from a perspective which is very often misunderstood and writing it in present context may bring us more closer to what it was like for Karna in those times. His struggles, his mistakes ,his great deeds and everything that makes him who he was , I will be characterising him or atleast attempt to pen down in my words in this era of Kalyug- Our Times😊. While doing so, there are few liberties that I am going to take specially since some of the events and situations of that time in Mahabharat are really not applicable and possible today coz we have come so far from that time. However the essence of Karna and also of remaining characters of Mahabharat shall remains the same. I am just going to make an honest attempt to see happenings of Mahabharat in Modern times through my protagonist - Karan😳

Prologue

It was raining hard across the streets of Delhi that night when a woman covering herself with a shawl and protecting a bundle she was carrying crossed streets quickly. She was drenched in rain but had made sure what she was carrying was safe. She was nervous not really sure what she was upto.She held that bundle close to her heart and held it tight. Her hands though shivering were holding it with utmost care. She had to make sure that no one is watching .Probably even when no one was watching, it was her guilt inside propping up telling her what she was doing is a crime.

In one corner of street she finally found a place protected from weather, secluded and quiet. She kept what she was carrying down there. He was in peaceful sleep not understanding what was happening in outside world. His eyes closed as if not allowing him to witness this cruel play of destiny. Tears streamed down those eyes as she left her bundle of joy there. I am sorry Son with those words, she ran away far from him in opposite direction. It was hard for her but she thought there was no choice. But after running few miles, she stopped. What had she done? She thought to herself. She looked up above in sky. There were thunderous clouds. It looked like they were also angry with her.
