2nd July Dharamji special

Vishwaja - Pratyush :- Pratyush struggled with the first song, was ok in the second. Vishwaja is shaping up so well.👍 She is becoming my Nihal of Idol - growing into me steadily. I think she is at her best when not singing with Sayli.

Pranjal - yet again with an avoidable bengali prelude. Tum pukar lo is an iconic song which has its own pull. 💕 He did well overall, but I still feel he stretches some lines unnecessarily, like the first 2 of the antara. The band was awesome - 👌👌, these kids are blessed to sing live with Girish sir’s band.

Rituraj :- Na jaa , Aaj Mausam, Tera peecha na - 3 different songs - getting the feel bang on is incredible! Na jaa was exceptional, I wished he had continued with it instead of the 3rd song.

Sayisha - flawless as expected. HR’s comments sum up everything about her so far 👍

Salman -Soyab :- decent; but going by soyab’s level, it could’ve been better, But may be I didn’t enjoy it so much since this number is done to death & I am not so gung ho about it either.

Mani - someone had mentioned in the promos thread about the scale - I felt the same.It couldve been a tad lower. He was good overall esp in the lower notes.

Faiz-aru:- we are seeing more & more of the old Faiz now. His voice suits Rafisaab’s songs well. Aru of course nailed it. Hence all the more commendable that Faiz stood out. 👍. He also did well in the tribute segment.

Chetanya - Danish. Didn’t enjoy at all. Somehow I can’t connect to Chetanya’s tonal qlty ; may be a few years down the lane he will sound better for me.

Aru cleverly side-stepping adi’s Q on PD ( well assuming the editor didn’t sleep off 😀 )

‘Thank-god-for-this ‘ moment:- was waiting for it & got it , a break to wind up my kitchen 😁-HR ka Apne toh apne … 🤣

Byju’s Out-of-syllabus moment :- Pranjal’s expression when Dharamji started his shayari. Lol..🤣

* PD either changed his stylist for the better or the person reinvented himself/herself 👍 - Danish can take some inspiration too.😁

Not familiar with most of the songs today, but it was a fine episode. FFed through all of Dharam's stories and drama 🤪

Loved Soyab-Salman. I would really love to see more of Soyab. His was the shortest performance today and he got only one song He has a prominent accent in his diction, but I like it.

Loved Faiz-Aru as well. Faiz's voice/singing style is highly reminiscent of the 90's singers, especially Uditji. Earlier I used to feel his voice doesn't suit old songs at all, but he's been nailing the past few ones 👍🏼 His voice has very low amplitude though. Most of the times he sings with someone else, he's pushed to the background. But this doesn't happen with PD because their voices gel really well together 😆

Enjoyed Pratyush-Vishwaja. She was the saving grace of the performance.

Also liked Chetanya-Danish. Chetanya has a unique voice that stands out in a crowd. He's always heard above the rest whenever they are singing in groups. Thought his voice was well-suited to the song today.

Sayisha also did good, but I think PD's presence tends to relax her a bit more on stage. Today she looked a bit nervous.

Rituraj, I couldn't relate much, but his singing style reminds me a lot of Yesudas for some reason. I thought he was comparatively weaker this week again. Noticing an inconsistency in his performances.

Mani sang well but I personally couldn't connect with the emotion. The Danish-Chetanya act on the same song was much more touching imo.

Pranjal's songs, at this point, I just sit and watch and feel nothing.

Most of the kids had a lot to sing today, which was a refreshing change. Although, the performances were a bit too long for my liking tbh 🤪 I was pretty bored when Rituraj and Pratyush-Vishwaja kept going on and on. Also, would Aryananda's name make it to the voting list? Kuch toh gadbad hai.

Overall good episode with less drama and more singing.

Pratyush&Vishwaja - As everyone said Vishwaja was better. Voice of Pratyush is very different, for some songs it goes well but most of the times it doesn't.

Rituraj was good as usual. Definitely a finalist.

I liked Ab Ke Sajan Sawan Me more than the second song. But considering she is just 7, she is just brilliant.

Finally after a long time I enjoyed Pranjal's performance.

I am liking Shoyab this season, he has improved a lot.

Faiz performed well. I am looking forward to his Hume Tumse Pyar Kitna. I hope they don't edit it.

Chetanya sings well but don't know why I can't connect with his singing most of the times, same with Aruna.

I am still thinking why Dharmendra-Hema didn't come together when they shot for the episodes on the same day. Even though there would have been more non-singing stuff but overall episode would be more interesting.

Than you Felix I thought being a 7 years old she has potential so don’t want her to go home soon ans yes Soyeb deserve to stay and I hope he stays for longer time.
