So once again it seems that some folks will get to sing on only 1 of the two days while others get to sing on both days. This is blatant and shameless way to conduct a contest. In II12 at least they used to announce that is a non-scoring performance and judges will not give marks. But here they have dropped that pretence too!

Pratyush : okay okay. Nothing great.

Vishwaja and Samaira : they did well, I thought. Better than their past performances. But they got to sing 2 songs which was a surprise.

Rituraj : continues to be a star. One of the finalists, I feel.

Pranjal : did quite well overall. At one spot I felt his voice was cracking but Javed Ali said he has a natural yodel. Well, what do I know? 🤷

Faiz : he clearly sings much better in solos than with Arunita. He really needs to overcome his fear of comparison and sing at the same level as today in all his performances. A very strong contender for the title, for sure.

Mani and Soyab : wow! Those were some really high notes they were hitting. They did as good as Salman if not better!

Aruna and Chetanya : both did better than most of their past performances. I would cut maybe 10% marks for being out of sync at the start of every line.

Ronnie Satamkar's acoustic guitar looked suspiciously similar to PD's. I wonder if he borrowed it.

Our beloved captains are strongly inspired by the idol judges in expressing 'aha' , 'oho', 'wow', 'uff' during performance of the contestants!!! 😛

They are in the right track to become idol judge in future with required quality of becoming enchanted just listening to the prelude music, even before starting of the song by the contestants!!! 😎😆

Seems like Faiz is getting 'in zone' with song selection and going solo.

Liked his singing.

Liked Mani/Shoyab singing too. Good effort by both of them.

Rest of them as usual, nothing outstanding, IMHO.

Saturday Episode -

Everyone performed well. 3 of my least favorite contestants - Chaitanya, Aruna & Samaira did very well.

Samaira definitely has potential, with age and proper guidance, she will get better.

Vishwaja's voice is beautiful, would love to hear more solos from her.

Pratyush' voice is very different, it doesn't go well with every song.

Faiz was in his zone today and performed beautifully.

Pranjal decent.

Best performance for me was Mani-Salman-Soyab. Soyab's range is incredible. And I love Mani, I think he has the potential to be the winner.

Thankfully no AruDeep thing in the show today.

Saturday episode:
Md. Faiz was the outstanding performance for me. I am getting to like his voice texture a lot. A close 2nd is the Salman-Soyab-Mani performance.

Pratyush: Skippable. I don't think the voice suited the song.

Viswaja is an underrated performer amongst all the hyped contestants. She is growing on me.
The duets with Samaira were very good. I have a feeling that Sayli actually takes interest in her wards and spends time with them (unlike some others we know). Dedication will reap its own rewards.

Rituraj everyone seems to like a lot. I don't feel the connect with his singing and diction. He may go the distance and has singing talent... but ....

Pranjal is overhyped. I have said this before and every time he sings it reinforces my opinion.
Why does he have to start every song with a Bengali intro? He is basically shaping up like Ananya of SAREGAMAPA and is being presented in the same way. I found his performance weak this week and his overacting is irritating.

The Soyab-Mani performance was excellent. I like Soyab more, but that can be a personal thing. Both were excellent but are typecast in the song selections. Soyab has improved a lot since the last Season.

Aruna-Chetanya was a disappointment for me. The spirit of the original song was completely missing. This was a mishmash to suit the pairing. If you listen to the original you will notice how far away they were from the energy of that song. And Danish's theatrics are getting worse every day.

I am also disappointment in Pranjal. Thought he would do better.

Listened to Pratyush for the first time. Does he sing from his nose or is his voice naturally nasal? 🤪 It was fine. He tried adding his own touch, but it didn't suit the song.

Really liked the Pinga rendition. Was surprised by Samaira. Though Vishwaja got to sing very little. I'd like to listen to more from her before making my mind. Their coordination was fantastic thoughout. Also, how come two songs for them?

Never felt anything from Rituraj's performance. He sounds like he's singing the same song every week. Can't understand the judge's hype but I think he's gonna be a finalist.

I've liked some of Pranjal's performances earlier. But this was forgettable. Like Rituraj, he also makes every song into his own particular genre, which I'm not sure I like every time

Faiz was amazing. Rightfully hyped this week. But I want them to choose a difficult song for him. Do some sargams, show them he is an actual trained singer. Maybe Mere Dholna since they're anyways giving him Arijit songs 😆 Though I'm not sure if his voice is ready yet for more complicated singing.

Mani-Salman-Soyeb was impressive. Showed some great technique. But they kinda ruined the essence of the original song for me. I like Soyeb, but he bordered on screaming this time. Mani was better imo.

Chaitanya-Aruna would've been better if they were singing solo. I like their individual voices, but the sync was off.

Also, is Sayantani even performing? She and Harshita are hardly seen anywhere.

Good question. I think one is up for elimination and the other is being saved from elimination. That is my take.

Still confusing. Who's gonna be eliminated? 😆 My guess is Harshita because they might want to maintain the Kanjilal duo for a while.

But this is a no-elimination week anyway as per the kid's interviews.
