I m guessing when u say not in par, u mean in terms of singing technique, right? Coz thts where I see Rohan lacking. I think Chetanya's isnt bad, surely not the best also,

Sunday episode:

Arya-Danish: i did not connect with the performance.

Soyab Ali: Not as good as he was in earlier performances. Very typecast.

Rohan-Sayantani: Rohan can basically sing in tune. His training has progressed thus far. Sayantani is toooo nasal for my liking. Rohan is entertaining and that is his only plus.

Harshita-Rituraj: Harshita was good in patches and Rituraj sang well. Overall a good pairing and one of the better performances of the day.

Sayisha-PD: Sayisha can win. I was not very impressed by the duets today, personally. They have done better in the past. PD holds himself back a bit too much. It affects the overall quality of the song.

Mani: I may be only one here who does not like Mani's singing. Nothing in this performance changed that opinion for me. But Javed Ali understands music better than most and if he is OTT about Mani then I grant that he must be very good. I just did not like the presentation at a personal level.

Faiz-Aru: Faiz got a good share of the songs this time. Overall this duo sounds most like a senior contestant pair and would not sound out of place in Idol. They are very different from the rest of the pairings. I liked the performance(s).

Pratyush-Sayli: Great effort by Sayli and a much improved effort by Pratyush. For once I could actually listen to Pratyush without skipping. Great job by Sayli.

I keep wondering why they call Govinda. He has such forgettable songs........

So true about Sayisha and Pawandeep performance they have done better in past. In first song was mostly sing by PD and second was short. Although it’s nice to see Sayisha playing that instrument but it would been better if they would let her sing more than the playing instrument. I have love their duet but want to see Sayisha singing solos and not like the one in Anand ji episode her solo was too short for me.

It seems like everyone is getting disgusted with Danish's antics. I read a lot of comments in other forums. People are calling him "Dramabaaz" 🤣

Danish can never hog the limelight on the basis of pure talent - he comes across as a guy with lots of insecurities in this matter, esp with Pawan in the same season. Hence he chases attention through such antics. I may be wrong too - just my take. 😊

No offence to Danish fans, but I find his performances also very mediocre. Not judging him, he is not a contestant. But it will remain a wonder how he reached the top 4 in Idol. Everytime I hear him, it makes me miss Nihal

The surprising thing about Danish is that his singing does not go down well with lay audience many times. But I remember that most Idols who were eliminated early, and gave interviews post elimination, always mentioned Danish in the shortlist of possible Idol Winner(s)! Also, HR has given him a few songs when he has largely ignored others like Ashish and the rest.

Finally watched the Sunday 5th June episode.

Aryananda - surprisingly flat, I felt, except for the ladt song Prem Jaal Mein Phas Gayi. But even there surprisingly nasal. Was this a scale issue? Is TCT to blame? We have seen that some of the songs PD used to sing in II12 were quite nasal but when he sings the same song in his concerts in a scale that he is comfortable with, his voice is just magic. Or I wonder if she was ill. Also something seems to be the matter with Danish - he definitely didn't seem to be performing to his full potential either. Govinda's comments about "thehra hua kalakaar" - clearly he has not seen Arunita's two SRGMP seasons! Or maybe technically he is right - Arunita was younger than this!

Soyab did well but he got only 1 song. And it was in his usual genre so no surprises that he did well.

Rohan and Sayantani. Rohan more of the same and forgot his lines. Sayantani is skilled but her voice is not ideal. Hopefully as she grows a little her timbre will improve.

Rituraj and Harshita. Rituraj again doing a good job but these were not difficult songs. Harshita another skilled singer whose voice is not ideal (IMHO, of course, both she and Sayantani). I expect we will see more and more duets of these two because their voices seem to match.

Sayisha with Pawandeep. Incredible! Just wow! I admire Sayisha's singing skills and voice, and the Kazu that she played. And what singing! She is blessed!

Mani. Such a talented boy! He did very well as this was right in his genre. But this was such a difficult song and yet he did such justice! I sincerely hope things work out well for him. Probably the first time we have seen Alka Yagnik getting emotional - and she doesn't seem to be one to go by a script.

Faiz with Arunita. He seems to be finally overcoming his apprehension of singing with her. And I liked the voice modulation that he finally seems to be bringing in.

Pratyush. More of the same. Same for Sayli. I really don't know what to say. It was most surprising for me that he got DHD but not Faiz!

Team of the week being Sayli's team - really couldn't agree with that. But maybe I am biased against that team already.

Medals - really surprised that Sayisha didn't get a medal! Who knows what they are cooking up! Sanity and credibility are not their forte anyway.

Arunita and Pawandeep! How well they match their scale to their team members'. Every weekend the gap between them compared to the other captains seems to be increasing.

And Pawandeeep - it does appear he is taking enough interest in them to impart additional skills to them. Every day I become a bigger fan of his!
