"Suhani... Suhani..." Yuvraj was furious, he couldn't believe that Soumya could stoop so low, first she did all what she could do to get rid of him, even trick her own childhood friend, get married to that idiot of a man... now when she realized she will not get a luxurious life with Krishna... she's coming behind him, "How disgusting!" he muttered angrily. This was all Suhani's fault, what was the need for her to bring her so called friend here? "Suhani!" He screamed, attracting all the other's attention except the person he wanted to talk to,
"Why are you shouting Yuvraj?"
"Where is Suhani? I looked for her everywhere..." Yuvraj looked at Sharad who was standing next to his mother,
"Ruko, main jakar dekh tha hun," said Sharad,
"Kahi bhi jaane khi zarurat nahi hai, usko akal agayi toh who chali gayi,"
"Iss waqt? Kahan dadi?" He asked as he moved forward, worry creeping up his nerves.
"Aise mat pucho, I'm sure you are happy, We know that you don't love her and you were blackmailed into this relationship, now that she's gone you can finally move on with Soumya, whom you love," She exclaimed, looking extremely satisfied with her reply, Yuvraj looked at him mother.
"Maa ji," Pratima was shocked, "Aap... Yeh" Sharad held her as she stumbled.
"Ab yeh sab natak band karo aur jao... sab jakar so jao,"
"Chachi, don't worry... You sit here, bhabi ghar hi gayen honge, We'll call them and see." Sharad made Pratima sit and tried calling Suhani,
Yuvraj looked at his mother and then at Sharad who was desperately clicking away numbers in his phone, somehow Yuvraj knew that she wouldn't have gone to her parents.
"Ma, main dekh tha hun," he told his mother who didn't reply him but just sat there with a blank face.
The roads were muddy and secluded, his eyes didn't rest as he drove down the road looking for her, he didn't know what he should be thinking but he was hurt...
"Suhani... Kaha ho tum?" he whispered, his phone vibrated,
"Yuvraj, Bhabi unki ghar par nahi hai," Sharad rushed, "where are you?"
"I'm looking... Mandir khe paas hun,"
"Shayad bhabi mandir mein hain," Sharad replied with a tinge of hope,
"I'll check,"
Maybe' thought Yuvraj, he knew that Sharad and Suhani got along with each other very well, unlike him Sharad understands Suhani better. Yuvraj got off his car and thought back to his moments with her as he ascended the stairs, hoping and praying for another chance to amend his mistakes.
****************************
Suhani stood in front the murti, her eyes closed and her hands raised, unlike other days, she prayed for her own self, she prayed for strength, she prayed for courage. She knew that God wouldn't leave her , she knew that he would guide her to take the right decision. The mangal sutra dangling in her neck was her right; it was given to her under God's will.
"Meri madat karna," She said and turned around just to witness Yuvraj who was standing there staring at her. Seeing him there reminded all of what she went through just hours back but instead of hurt it was anger which filled her heart. She walked forward, looking at him straight in the eye. She didn't stop when she reached but continued to move past him.
"Suhani... Suhani... Ruko, meri baat toh suno," he rushed, blocking her way
"Jab baat karna ta tab toh baat nahi khi aapne, Ab hatiye aur mujhe jaaney deejiye,"
"Suhani, you have to listen to me... you can't blame me for everything," he didn't understand why he was so desperate to make her understand, but he wanted her to know that he wasn't at fault,'
"You are never wrong Yuvraj, aap mujhse pyar nahi karte... not your fault, you married me because of my father... huh... not your fault, you didn't tell me anything even after so many months... ok fine woh bhi aapki galti nahi hai... It's all my fault, give me..." she paused, trying to act unaffected by what she was going to say, "give me divorce, it will all be over," She said, stunning Yuvraj to the core.
