I know I come here only for sake of forums ke request but the suggestion thread is almost 150 pages but seems like forum creation are quite delayed for zee and colors show. Shows that are off air for two weeks still have place on main forum while the ones on SP are removed like within a week (saakk for example)

Here is the list of shows that have launched on 23rd August

1. Meet - Forum not yet made on zee tv

2. Rishton ka Manjha - Forum is locked and our posts are reflecting on Hindi TV forum plus Rishton ka Manjha.. That's fine for me.. 😆 hindi tv forum already has quite many threads dedicated to this show.

3. Thoda sa Badal thoda sa Pani for Colors

4. Nima Denzongpa for colors

SSK and BV are on air for a few weeks to a month but they still don't have Chaska Meter rating to appear on main forum page... Just fyi.. I don't follow any of these shows to worry much...

Tujhse hai Rabta has been off air for almost three weeks. Raam Pyaare Sirf Hamare has been off air for 8 months.. Not on main forum but still first one in zee tv sections instead off air.

These two channels need to be cleaned up.

I don’t have much problems with the site except for maintenance message which comes once in a while.

But I have a request to make. Currently options to like a post or express an emotion are

Thumbs up

Love

Wow

Laugh/HAHA

Shock

Sad/crying

Angry

Can you please add an eye roll as well? It will be useful for many members like me. I know it is present as an option in the message box. But sometimes I would like to use an eye roll without replying or quoting the post, just to express my emotion for that particular post.

For many sites, maintenance is a regular feature. Since we are regularly doing some work on the site we need to upload the latest application to the Live server. And this hardly takes over 2-3 minutes to restart the site.

BTW we will definitely work on ways where we can pre-notify our users 15 mins before we start the upgrade process so that they are more informed.

Thank you Vijay but it never happened with old IF

Also the other websites even when they do go in maintenance to pata nahi chalta

The sites I go in maintenance happens max once a month

Here its every few days

If its very necessary and nothing else can be done about it then maybe set a fixed time for it?

Hi,

a) Yes you are correct that this didnt happened with old IF as it was script based so if we had to update any page it was just that page that required update. The con side to that is that code was too fragmented and its slower as every time it had to compiled. The new one is an entire application and certain things require the whole application to be updated which brings this 1-2 mins downtime.

b) About other sites I dont know how often they are doing these updates and what tech they are using. And secondly I feel here on IF members stays longer than average so yeah few do notice this as we generally push update during 5:-30 - 6:00 slot. And if someone regularly comes during that time he might feel we go in maintenance every now and then.

c) Well there are scheduled maintenance and there are certain times which we have to fix immediately as they are discovered.

However I am happy to see that members love the site so much that they dont want to see it go down even for those 1-3 minutes. 😊

We will definitely work on this area and see how we can have a better maintenance plan.

Occasional maintenance and emergency ones I understand, but what I meant was the regular ones which you plan to do from before.

You have weekly ones right? So maybe announce a specific time and date for them, for example you can post that the site will go into maintenance every Friday at so and so time and for how long. That way the users who are active here will be aware about it beforehand and not be in the middle of posting something when the site goes down.

The text box link is not working for me on my laptop but it is occasionally working for me in my mobile. Is there any way for proper working of text box both on my mobile and Laptop???
