JUST ANSWER THE QUESTION, CAN DTs READ OUR PMs?

No Sonia, DTs cannot read other people's PMs! None of us can! The only exception would be if a member forwards us a PM that they received. This happens a lot to provide proof of particular rule breaking, bullying via PMs, etc. Even then, all the DT know to not share this information with anyone other than other DT on a need to know basis (like sending it to the appropriate forum DT or higher DT for further processing).

And Sanju is being questioned about her statement, so I think it is only fair to wait till she is able to shed some more light on the comment she made. Maybe it will turn out that she read a PM that was also sent to a DT member or she herself forwarded a PM to a DT member?!

Thanks for giving a straightforward answer. 😊

In Sanju's post, she clearly said that one of the MODs shared another member's PM with her. And, that's what lead to the whole confusion. Also, if the MOD was forwarded that PM from a so-called 'snitch', I don't think it was right on the MODs part to share it with her friends.

Exactly Upama.. Its Private Message Service.. Not Public Message Service...Funny thing.. Thanks to some powerful lobbyists the '' Right To Privacy Bill'' vanished into thin air.. Gosh we live in a democratic country.. And privacy is a basic human right.. The SC upheld the same right in many occassions.. So Vijay Bhai should clear our doubts

I definitely agree with you. However, we do not know what exactly happened here. I think all of us are waiting to hear Sanju's reply.
