Dear Site Moderators and Administrators,

A lot of members are posting articles from other websites or magazines in their posts.

Although I really appreciate that my fellow members are trying to share these very interesting and informative articles, many of them are forgetting to cite the sources for their respective articles.

Failing to give appropriate credit to the original author or source is plagiarism.

It is my humble request that you all look into this matter and take appropriate actions. One suggestion would be to post an announcement to remind all members to refrain from plagiarizing.

I understand that most members do not mean to plagiarize. However, if you forget to post a link to the original article page or website or name of the source, it is considered as plagiarism.

If requested, I would be happy to give a few examples of such article posts. However, I will not post them here, because some members might find that insulting if the article posts belong to them.

Thank you for taking this matter into consideration.

Hi Friend,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Due to the way the forum is buzzing its not practically possible for us to monitor every post.

We have been continously telling and reminding our members to give due credit to the original author or site from which they have taken the information for Discussion among the members and should not be presented in the format which shows that they are the actual owner of the article posted.

In the event the sites have any objection we request them to please feel free to report that post or drop me an email with the link and we will happily delete that post.

We have also mentioned the same in our code of conduct but its a good idea that we do remind our members in the form of an announcement.

We will surely come with an announcement shortly.

With warm regards,
Vijay Bhatter

I was worried no one would reply to this topic!

Anyways, thanks Vijay for taking the matter into consideration and for the response above.

I guess it is necessary from time to time to remind members of the codes of conduct, when things go out of hand.

Thanks again,
Mridang.
