Two days before Neha's wedding….

Mrs. Gosh came to the wide balcony opposite the stairs in the first floor… Dipika was standing there enjoying the morning breeze and warm sunlight…

Mrs.Gosh: Good Morning!

Dipika turned around and seeing her smiled…. Wished her good morning hugging her she took her cup of coffee which she had brought and sat down on the chair in the balcony…. 🤗

Mrs. Gosh kept looking at her daughter and sat down in the other chair in the balcony…. Sipping her coffee, Dipika moved back her flowing hair and saw Mrs.Gosh looking at her….. Seeing that she hadn't had her coffee yet….

Dipika: Mom! Your coffee is getting cold!

Mrs.Gosh: (Smiling faintly) Hope life is not getting cold! 😊

Dipika looked at her questioningly not understanding what she was indicating…. ❓

Dipika: Kya baat hai mom? Subah subah paheliyaan kyun buja rahi hain?

Mrs.Gosh: Ye paheli bhi hai?!!?

Dipika: (Puzzled) Mom?!?! 😕

Taking a deep breath she kept her coffee cup on the table and said….

Mrs.Gosh: Parson raat main tumhe good night kehene aayi thi…. To Sri ki baat suni…. (Now Dipika understood) Usne jo poocha…

Dipika: (Interjecting softly) Bachchi hai maa… Aise sawaal karegi hi… Nasamajh hai…. Lekin main hoon naa…. Main uska khayal rakhoongi….

Mrs.Gosh: Theek hai… Vo bachchi hai…. Lekin main… Main to maa hoon naa… Main kaise sab kuch nazar andaaz karoon? 😕

Dipika: Mom! Aap phir se please shuru mat…..

Mrs.Gosh: (Interrupting her angrily😡) Shuru karoongi… Definitely will… Why not? Pichle che saal tumhari baat sunti aayi hoon…. I agreed to everthing you said…. Your job was your first reason… Then Sri… You as her mother worry for her then why not me?

Dipika was a little taken aback because she had never seen her mother talk like this…. But she felt that she had been yearning to say this for many days now and it had come out bursting….. 😔

Mrs.Gosh: (Continuing) Ab Sri ne khud raasta dikhaya hai… Beta…. I want to see you settled…..

Dipika: Mom! I am settled… Main… Mera kaam… Aap…. Sri…

Mrs.Gosh: (Interrupting again) Aur Aryan?!?

Dipika was more surprised this time not expecting such direct attacks….. And her mother had never talked about Aryan to her like this!

Dipika: Maa!

Mrs.Gosh: (Smiling) Tu mujhe Maa tabhi bulati hai jab tumhe pata hai ki main sahi hoti hoon…. (Catching her hand) Aryan aur tum… Ek doosre se itna pyaar karte hain… Your eyes speak…. Pehle tumhe problem thi… Phir use…. Aur phir se tumhe problem thi… Sab kuch sirf isliye kyunki tum dono ne khul ke baat nahi ki…. Lekin ab…. Ab to koi problem nahi hai naa? Tum agar Sri ko lekar preshaan thi to parson jo sawaal usne poocha…. Tumhe nahi lagta ki wahi tumhara jawaab hai!

Dipika: Maa! Main…..

Mrs.Gosh: You are my only daughter Dipi…. Tumhare pappa ke baad mera ek matra sahara…. I know what it is to live alone…. I don't want you to endure that torture… Sri ke baare me Aryan se baat karo… Vo zaoor manega! (Getting up) Aaj hum Pune ke liye nikal rahe hain…. Aryan ne kaha hai ki vo aake hume airport leke jayega…. But I did see a disappointment in his eyes because he had to leave Sri…. (Smiling kissing her daughter's forehead) He is a good son-in-law material! He would make a good one too! I like him! I think you should like him too!

Dipika looked up surprised at her mother's cheeky words as she went off winking at her, taking the coffee cups with her…. 😉

Dipika smiled…. "Son-in-law material"!!! She hadn't expected this from her mother! But still…. She thought… Her mom was right… No one seemed to have any problem now… Neither her…. Neither Sri… Neither her mom… Then what was she waiting for?!!?

Somehow life suddenly seemed very colorful…. Very happy…. Very bright…. Floating!😛

She went to Sri's room and saw her cuddled up in her sheets…. Looking very cute sleeping…. She went and moved the curtains aside letting in the sunlight…. Coming back to the bed she kissed her on her forehead waking her up…

Dipika: Sri! Good Morning!😳

Sri rolled over in her sheets and finding Dipika's lap lay down again….

Dipika: (Smiling and smoothing her hair) Sri!

Sri: (Sleepy) Hmm….

Dipika: Mamma aapse kuch poochein?❓

Sri: Hmm…..

Dipika: Agar…. (Pausing) Agar…. Aryan uncle aapke pappa bante hain to aapko kaise lagega?

Dipika had to steady herself as Sri jumped back from her lap and knelt down surprised….

Sri: Aryan uncle?!?! Pappa?!?!

Seeing her surprised disheveled state she laughed a little… Pulling her down to her lap she said….😆

Dipika: Haan… Pappa! Hum saath rahenge… Saath khelenge… Saath khayenge….

Sri recited with her….

"Saath ghoomenge… Saath picture dekhenge….."

Dipika smiled seeing the enthusiasm in her voice….

Sri: Mamma… Such naa?

Dipika: (Smiling faintly) Aapki Mamma kabhi jhooth bolti hai?

Sri jumped down from the bed with the blanket and holding it as an aircraft starting running around shouting startling Dipika who had to keep her hands over her ears….😲

Sri: Mere bhi Pappa honge!!! Main bhi apne sab friends se kahoongi… Pappa hain mere bhi! (Running back to her) Theek hai naa?

Dipika: (Tears of joy in her eyes😭😳) Bilkul….

Sri climbed the bed and hugging her said….

Sri: Thankkkkuuuuu Mamma…. Sri is very happy! Main uncle ko…. (Biting her tongue) Pappa ko phone karoon?

Dipika: (Hastily) Nai… Abhi nai… Mamma khud aapko kuch dinon ke baad phone karoongi… Tab aap unse baat karna…. Tab tak vo sirf aapke uncle honge!

Sri: (Pleading) Lekin Mommy… Ab kyun nahi? 😒

Dipika: Sri… Mamma ki baat maano!

Sri nodded enthusiastically and looked behind to see Mrs.Gosh standing there, who had hurried up hearing Sri's shout and had heard everything…. She jumped down from the bed and went over to her Granny….

Sri: Naani… Pata hai… Aryan uncle humare saath rehene waale hain… Mere pappa banke… Mamma ne kaha!

Mrs. Gosh looked happily at Dipika who was smiling, blushing, and what not??? ☺️

Mrs.Gosh hugged her daughter and Dipika hugged her mother around her mid happy for everything… …

Sri: (Making a face) Sri ko sab ne chod diya!😕

Dipika and Mrs.Gosh parted smiling and held out their hands for her to come to them….😊

Sri ran to them and all three hugged each other tightly… Happiness was knocking on their door after a long time…. And they didn't want to leave it!🤗

Just then they really heard a knock…. Oops…. The cuckoo clock in Sri's room chime….

Surprised Mrs.Gosh and Dipika looked up at the clock and both exclaimed at the same time startling Sri…

Dipika: Plane ka waqt ho raha hai! Jaldi karo Sri… Taiyaar ho jao… Aap logon ko airport chodke mujhe aur Aryan uncle ko Neha ke ghar jaana hai… Jaldi jaldi!

Saying Dipika tickled Sri and pushed her into the bathroom….

Mrs.Gosh and Dipika also left to get ready….😃

Aryan was prompt on the said time… And he helped Dipika with the bags and suitcases in the car… Besides roaming Mumbai what Sri perfectly did was shopping… And that had loaded two extra suitcases which Dipika had… Well fine…. From home to the airport the car was going to bear them… From outside the airport to inside the trolly…. From the lounge to the plane the airport baggage truck… From Pune airport the taxi back home! So any extra luggage was not an issue!

While helping them leave to the airport Aryan sensed a change in the atmosphere… Something light… Everyone seemed suddenly very happy… Different from the past few days… Even Dipika was constantly smiling as if something wonderful had happened… When he questioned Sri about it she just gave him a surprise kiss on his cheeks and ran off…. Before he could come out of this surprise she came back and again pecked on the other cheek!❤️

This was more than enough to make Aryan happy…. He also felt very light hearted!😳

At the airport Sri and Dipika became a little emotional having to separate… Even though the distance was less in kilometers the distance by heart was greater!😭

After seeing them off in the plane Aryan and Dipika to Neha's apartment…. There was a pooja today at her home…. Tradition to perform at the bride's and groom's house before the marriage!

Ajay and his mother performed at home…. Since Neha had no one Dipika and Aryan had decided to accompany her….

The pooja went well according to all the customs…. There was one little problem when the priest asked for Neha's relative to perform with her in the pooja…. And needless to say Aryan had accepted the post of been her brother and performed the pooja with her…

After the pooja he also promised that even though he would be from Ajay's side… For all the ceremonies he would be by her side as her brother…. Neha obliged and couldn't thank him enough for which Aryan had scolded saying sisters don't say thank you!😊

Seeing him volunteer himself as Neha's brother Dipika's respect and love for him increased…..

After the pooja Aryan left for office…. Neha and Dipika went over all the wedding preparations to check if anything was left…. They called the caterers, decorators confirming them of address and date of the occasion….

Later afternoon Dipika left to go the academy dropping Neha at the market where she wanted to purchase some things! ⭐️

Vishal entered the academy and found in strangely silent…. Well… Of course for the past three days he had been coming, he had not been able to hear any songs…. But still there was a musical buzz around which he could feel… But today he didn't feel it either…. 🤔

Puzzled he went to the glass practice room and found the reason for the strange silence… During his visits there only Dipika, Sandhya and that Sam would be there…. But today many of other Sandhya's friends were also there… But none were practicing… 😕

When he came to the door he heard one of them say…

Sandhya's Friends: Kisi aur ko bula kyun nahi leti?

He peeped in and saw that even Cynthia, Purvi and Aadhya were there…. He saw Sandhya leaning against the wall, knees bent her hands on her head….

Sandhya: (Not looking up) Maine kaha naa Rina…. Ki koi nahi hai…. Sam ek hi tha jo ye dance kar sakta hai…. Aise hi koi nahi kar sakta…

Dipika: (Who was seated beside Sandhya) Vo David master ka kya jinhone ye dance choreograph kiya tha? Unhe to aasaani se aa jayegi!

Sandhya: Tch… Vo bhi do din ke liye shehar se bahar gaye hain…. Apne native…. Aa bhi jayenge…. To saath practice karne ke liye time nahi hai…. Parson we are all going to the guest house naa!

Dipika nodded disappointed as Sandhya continued….

Sandhya: Lagta hai us dance ko abandon karna hi hoga…. But I really liked it… Like the icing on a cake! 😒

Just as she had finished saying this Vishal called out…

Vishal: Dipika!

Instantly everyone looked up… Seeing Vishal there none of them were surprised or not surprised…. It seemed like they didn't care the least with his presence… They were so upset!😔

Dipika: (Getting up and coming over to him) Oh Vishal!

Vishal: (Looking around) Kya hua? Sab itne upset kyun hain?

Dipika: Tch! Upset hone jaisi baat hi hai…. Sandhya jo dance karne waali thi… Special one… Tumne bhi dekha hai naa…. Uski partner Sam… Uska pair toot gaya…. Bathroom me gir gaya…. Pata nahi dance hai to bathroom gaya hi kyun…. 😆 Isliye vo dance karne nahi aa sakta!

Hearing this Vishal too became a little upset and looked at Sandhya who was really sad about it…. He remembered that the dance was really wonderful and they had been progressing well enough in the past three days… Switching partners at the last moment and to get him learn the steps in two days was tough…. 😕

And day after tomorrow everyone was leaving to the beach guest house where Neha's marriage was to take place…. It was Ajay's college friend's….. Ajay sais it was a spacious big bungalow and they could use for how many ever days they wanted!

Vishal: (Consoling) Oh! That's bad… Lekin koi aur intezaam shayad ho jayega… Someone who knows the dance well enough to learn it fast… It shouldn't be a problem!

Dipika: Problem hi hai Vishal… Sam ka taang toot gaya…. Aur vo master jinhone dance ko choreograph kiya tha vo bhi bahar shehar gaye hain… The only other person who knows the dance other than Sandhya is the lady choreographer…. Ab two girls can't dance this! Tumne dekha ha….

Dipika's voice faltered as she looked at Vishal and exclaimed startling him…

Dipika: Of course…. Vishal tum! (At this even the others looked up surprised) Tumne to ye dance dekha hai naa…. You should be able to do it!

Vishal: (Shocked) What!?!?! Main?!?! Pagal ho gayi ho? Maine kaise ye dance… 😲

Dipika: (Pleading) Oh Vishal! You can…. Tumne dance dekha hai… Tumhe dance karna aata bhi hai… Tum try to kar sakte ho naa!

Vishal: Dipika that dance seems tough… And I am no professional to do it!

Dipika: Tch…. Tumne hi to kaha tha ki dance was fine… Aur waise bhi hum thode koi competition me bhaag lene waale hain…. It's just for the reception!

Vishal: (Denying flatly😳) No! Dipika…. Main ye nahi kar sakta… Even if I agreed there's no time to practice… Do din me Neha ki shaadi hai!

Dipika: Oh ho… Tab ke liye abhi waqt hai… Dekho… Kal Saturday aur phir Sunday…. Tumhari bhi office chutti hai…. Do din poora practice kar sakte ho…. Waise bhi hum parson dopahar ko hi guest house jaa rahe hain…. Us din mehndi hai, phir agle din shaam ko sangeet… Shaadi ke din shaam ko hi to ye dance karni hai…. Iske hisaab se to abhi teen din hain naa….

Vishal: (Rolling his eyes) Dipika! You are ridiculous…. Maine nahi karne waala!

Just then….

Sandhya: (Who had picked up her bag) Girls! Let's leave… Main ye dance nahi kar rahi… I have no choice… Help karne waala koi nahi hai…. (Glancing at Vishal) Aur jo hai vo karna nahi chahata… We'll concentrate on our other dances…

Aadhya: Lekin Di… Aapne hi kaha tha ki aapko ye dance bahut pasand tha…. You really loved its choreography too… Aapne pehle kabhi aisa dance nahi kiya hai…. Please…. (Going over to Vishal) Vishal ji… Please… Di bahut interested thi… More than anything she has been talking about this dance only…. Please maan jayiye naa!

Vishal glanced at Sandhya's upset face…. In so many months he had known her he hadn't seen her so upset or disappointed… She was the type to smile and make others smile…. Her dictionary never knew the word 'Sadness' or 'Upset'… Also he knew dance was her passion and the only thing she loved next to her profession…😒

Even Cynthia and Purvi came to him and requested him to agree and try it… Maybe they could work it out some way, simplifying the steps or so….

Finally…..

Vishal: (Throwing up his hands) FINE! I'll do it!😔

At this there was a shout and Dipika happy hugged him kissing him…. Vishal kissed her back on her forehead and smiled… He looked at Sandhya who thanked him with his smile….😳

Dipika: (Getting into action) Fine! Ab sab girls nikalo… This dance is suspense you know right?

Aadhya: (Disappointed) Aww…. Dipika Di… Not fair…. Hum bhi dekhte hain naa!

Dipika: (Stubbornly giving her her bag and pushing her out) No! Reception me dekh lena! Ab sab nikalo!

She stood ordering at the entrance…. The others were a little disappointed but happy that Sandhya had got a partner and left the academy bading them bye…..😛

Remembering something Sandhya hurried to the practice room entrance and in the process dashed against Vishal… She was about to fall down when Vishal supported her catching her around her waist….❤️

His touch… The first ever so close one sent some signals inside her as she gazed up at him… He slowly supported her on her feet still catching her hand… Even though she was standing neither of them left their holds and kept gazing at each other…. ☺️

Dipika who had seen the other girls off turned around… She took a step inside and her foot froze in mid air seeing them both like this…. She raised her eyebrows in surprised and immediately turned around to look out…😳

It seemed like ages and still there was no movement behind her in the room… She looked behind and saw that they had in fact had come a little more closer than before drowning into each other's eyes…. She looked at her watch and hated breaking their intimacy…. But still…

Dipika: (Calling out) Bye girls…. Meet you tomorrow!

This was enough to break their hold… Then remembering Sandhya hurried to the entrance and saw that everyone had left…..

Sandhya: Oh! Main Cynthia se kehena chahati thi ki Aadhya ko lift dein…. Ab to vo taxi ya auto legi… I don't feel safe! Maa to dantegi…😕

Dipika: Sandhya! It's okay… Maine Cynthia ko remind kar di hai… She'll leave Aadhya at home and then only go home herself!

Sandhya smiled and hugged Dipika thanking her….🤗

Dipika: (Parting from her) Ab chalo… Aaj se practice shuru karte hain… We have loads to start with!

Saying all three of them went inside…. He removed his coat and shoes while Sandhya played the dance VCD for him to watch… He loved it…. The song and dance was wonderful… And in an occasion like a marriage where hearts and souls meet this sounded just the one!

Vishal: (Doubtful) It seems okay…. But will it work out?

Dipika: Vishal! Shuru hi nahi ki to kaise pata chalega… I'll help you play the video…. Ab chalo… Take your positions….

Vishal looked at Sandhya as she took position…. Then after a little hesitation he too took his position… It started well… But… When he had to come in point of contact with Sandhya his arms failed him….

In one step he didn't catch her and she fell down hard…

Sandhya: (Rubbing her back got up) Oie Chilgose! Theek se nahi pakad sakta… Dekha... Gira di!

Vishal: (Angry😡) Kise chilgose kaha tumne?!?! Bandariya…. Khud ko theek se position karvati to aisa nahi hota…. Main ab dance nahi karne waala!

Sandhya: Dekho! Dekho! (Going over to him to pick a fight) Galti tumhari thi aur mujh par ilzaam laga raha hai…. Tu…

Dipika got down from the table rolling her eyes towards heaven…. Coming in between them she said….

Dipika: Tum dono jhagadna band karoge…. (To Sandhya) Sandhya…. Abhi seekh to raha hai… He'll get a hang of it soon…. (Sternly) Vishal! It's just a dance….. Tum aise uske haath chodte rahoge to?!?! Gir gayi naa bechari… Uski bhi taang tutvaana hai kya? Come on… Let's start again… (Murmuring she went back to play the song again) Pata nahi mere hone par itna jhagad rahe ho… Kal agar main nahi rahi to kya karoge!

Vishal was just about to catch Sandhya's hand when he heard Dipika's murmur…. Stunned he put down his and Sandhya who was to catch his hand for support stumbled forward…. But thank God didn't fall down again!

She looked behind frustrated trying to strangle him but Dipika shook her head hastily and she instead stamped her feet and went to gave a glass of water….😃

Vishal: (Surprised) Tum kal nahi aa rahi?!!?

Dipika: (Pausing the player) Nahi…. Tumhare peeche bhaagna mera kaam hai? Waise bhi mujhe kal Neha ko beauty parlor le jaana hai!

Vishal: No way! Agar tum nahi aa rahi to main is (Glancing at Sandhya) bandariya ke saath nahi practice kar sakta!

Dipika: Vishal! I can't be with you always…. Also its your decision… Neha ki shaadi ko memorable banana chahate ho to practice karo… Nahi to mat karo…. Your choice!

Vishal gave in irritated at the prospect of rehearsing with Sandhya alone but had no choice…..

Dipika clapped in for another practice…. This time Vishal was careful with the holds…. They practiced late till night…. Only at around eleven did they leave….

Vishal really was a star dancer…. All his postures and movements were perfect beyond what Sandhya had imagined and she was more impressed…. He was also a fast learner and hence they could complete practicing nearly three fourths of the song, just in a day!👏

As for Sri going to Pune.... Well you have to read the story further to know more further.... But she definitely can't be in Pune forever 😊
