Aryan carried Dipika out of Special Squad office just as Ajay pulled the car in front. Boxer opened the back door of the car while Neha helped Aryan make Dipika lie at the back…. Aryan then hurried to the driver's side of the car…

Just before he could enter the car Neha called out and asked….

Neha: Aryan hum bhi chalet hain…. 😒

Aryan looked at Neha over the top of the car and said hurried….

Neha: Its okay Neha… Tum log yaheen raho… Sinhas and Mehtas se baat karke get as much information as possible…. Main dekh loonga….

Neha looked at Dipika at the back and at Aryan and nodded… She noticed how concerned and worried Aryan sounded and looked… She now was positive that Aryan had developed feelings for Dipika… But still was confused of the fact about what Dipika had said…. 😔

Aryan got into the car… He switched on the ignition, put the gear and had his foot on the clutch and acceleration…. From the window he called….

Aryan: Ajay!

Ajay who was standing on the driver's side waiting for Aryan to drive off bent down to see Aryan through the window…..

Looking at Aryan Ajay said consolingly….

Ajay: Aryan… Tum befikar raho… Hum yahan sambhaal…

Aryan interrupted in a hard no mercy tone….. 😈

Aryan: Yahan Neha sambhaal legi….

Ajay looked at him shocked at Aryan's tone... But stood bending listening him continue....

Aryan gave one look towards Dipika at the back and back at Ajay bent down…. Ajay saw the anger in his eyes and knew that it was his concern for Dipika…. ❤️

Aryan: Get him!

Saying Aryan raised his foot off the clutch and Ajay jumped back smiling pleasingly…. Because he knew whom Aryan had indicated😈

Neha looked on till the car disappeared and turned to go back into the office….

Boxer came up to Ajay smoking his pen as usual and raised his eyebrows…

Ajay: (Grinning) Its show time Boxer! 😃

Boxer smiled and looked at Ajay questioningly…… 🤔

Ajay: Are Boxer….. Uncle chahate hain ki aunty ke halat ki wajehdaar ko hum… 😆

Saying Ajay indicated the action of catch with his hand…. 😉

Boxer chuckled a little at Ajay mention Aryan as Uncle, which he knew Ajay had said because he called Dipika aunty…. He then gave thumbs up and nodded his head agreeing….

Ajay and Boxer started to go the parking lot to get the vehicle when Neha turned around and saw them not coming into the office….

Neha: (Calling out) Tum dono kahan jaa rahe ho? ❓

Both of them looked at Neha and Boxer said….

Boxer: Vo pappa… 😲 😆

At this Boxer received a hard nudge from Ajay on his stomach which shut Boxer up...

Neha:(Frowning) Kya?!!?

Then Ajay said….

Ajay: Kuch nahi Neha…. Boxer ko bak bak karne ki aadat pad gayi hai… Khud pappa jo banana waala hai…. We have some work outside…. Hum yoon gaye our yoon aaye… 😊

Ajay said snapping his fingers....

Hands on her hips Neha came down the steps and stared up at the duo…. 😳

Neha: Aryan ne hume investigation sambhaalne ko kaha hai… Aur tum dono ab kahan jaa rahe ho? 😡

Catching Neha by her shoulders Ajay led her back up the steps to the entrance of the office and said……

Ajay: Neha hum bhi investigation ke liye hi to jaa rahe hain…. Tum ek kaam karo, Shotgun ko saath le lo… Sinhas aur Mehtas se baat karke information collect karo Manish aur Natasha ke baare me…. Unke beech kya relation thi, unke dost, unke habituats…. Are tumhe to pata hai…. Tum karo haan…

Saying he caught her loving by the chin… Then giving a hasty kiss on her cheeks ran down the steps and dragged off Boxer before Neha could intervene again… 😍

Neha stood on the steps looking at the weird duo run to the parking lot… Then she brushed her cheeks where Ajay had pecked… She smiled and blushed a little….☺️

Seconds later she saw them drive past the entrance to the office gate…. Ajay gave a flying kiss over the car's top…. 😳

She wondered frowning as to what urgent work had come now for which Ajay and Boxer had left and investigation in between, even after Aryan had said… 😕

Then she remembered Ajay bending down to talk to Aryan and Aryan talking to him… She thought she could guess their important work…. But prayed they didn't go out of line again… Because if the matter came out again they would have to face Dipika, which would be worse than before…. For them… For Aryan especially!

Sighing she shook her head and went inside to finish the work Aryan had indirectly given her….. 😳

Hospital….

Aryan paced the corridor up and down…. He stood against the wall one foot up… He sat for a while on the chair outside… He started pacing up and down again…. He was becoming restless thinking about Dipika's condition…. 😕

Half an hour before he had admitted Dipika and the doctor was checking her….

Aryan didn't drive to the hospital where Dipika had got her treatment yesterday because it was a long drive form the office… So he had got her to the hospital near by…. "The HelathCare"……..

Aryan was seated now and shaking his leg up and down….. Hands on the knees he was hitting his head…. So he didn't notice the doctor and nurse come out….

The doctor came up to Aryan and called out….

Doctor: Excuse me! Aap hi jo hain naa jo us haath me fracture patient ke saath aaye the?

Immediately Aryan stood up and looked at the doctor worried…. Before he could answer anything Aryan barraged the doctor with questions……

Aryan: Doctor! Dipika? Kaise hai vo? Is she fine? Is tarah behosh hona?!?! 😒

The doctor smiled a little and said….

Doctor: Please itna ghabarayiye mat…. She is fine…. Thodi der me hosh me aa jayega…. Haath me phir se chot lagne se swelling hui hai… Casting ki wajah se swelling was becoming more and blood pressure zyada ho gaya…. Sir pe bhi chott hi naa, isliye behosh ho gayein hain…. But nothing to worry…

Aryan: (Sighing relieved 😔 ) Thank you doctor!

Doctor: Its okay! Maine unke haath se casting nikaal di hai… Sirf bandage lagaya hai aur ek sling bag attached kar di hai… Aaj shaam tak to swelling kum ho jayegi… But swelling kum hone ke baad, phir se casting lagva dijiye… Fracture kuch zyada hai….

Obediently Aryan listened to all that the doctor had to say…. 😳

Aryan: Ji doctor….

The doctor writing on a notepad said to Aryan….

Doctor: Ye do time ka dosage hain…. Unki treatment already chal rahi hai naa… So this is just for the swelling and its pain… Lekin I would suggest ki aap apne regular doctor ko bhi dikha dein…. Hmmm… Kya kaha tha aapne apne wife ka naam? Dipika.. Right? 😉

Aryan who looking at the doctor writing on the notepad jerked up his head and stunned said…. 😲

Aryan: Ji?!?!?

But the doctor mistook that "Ji" as Aryan's approval….
Tearing the paper and giving it to Aryan the doctor said….

Doctor: Don't worry… Aapki wife jaldi hi theek ho jayengi…. Take care! 😃

Saying the doctor and nurse left a still stunned Aryan behind staring at them go….☺️

After a while Aryan came to his senses and looked at the prescription in his hand… He pocketed the prescription….. Then smiling and fingering his temple he made his way to Dipika's room…. 😳

Aryan entered the room and saw her on the bed… He neared her on her left and looked down… He felt she looked so cute sleeping… But as of now he knew she was unconscious… But still... All girls and women looked cute and even more beautiful during sleep….. 😍

Aryan smoothed his hand over head and bent down and kissed her forehead….☺️

Sitting down at the stool near by, he caught her left hand and caressed it…. ❤️

He wondered what had brought about the change in him…. 🤔

He remembered all the moments with Dipika…. Good… Bad…. Surprises and shocks…. ⭐️

He now felt bad for his behavior in his past towards her… But she had always remained patient with him… She had supported him during all wakes… Yes many a times they didn't agree on matters but always someone compromised and they had got on well… She rarely got angry with him… But always was irritated and concerned about him and Special Squad… He knew whatever she did was for their well being… But still it was difficult for him and his team to change their ways… Because following Dipika's ways were a little tough and Aryan was used to get justice by hook or by crook… 😈

Just for the sake, where he was not sure of his future he had refused to give way to any feelings towards Dipika…. But now everything seemed different…. ❤️

He thought of Dipika's behavior towards him for the past days…. She was behaving strangely… Answering when only asked…. Talking very less… Been to herself more… She was never like that before… She chit chatted less, but never was moody…. And Aryan felt he didn't like this change in her… It made him feel upset and concerned about her!

Aryan had now stopped his rash behavior…. Not only because Dipika was around… But Aryan felt a strange premonition that something in near future is going to happen which is going to change his life…. And for that he felt he needed a control over him..... Call it his "Gut Feel"!!!!!!!! 😛



Aryan saw that Dipika's eyes moved… She was gaining conscious… He immediately placed her left hand down and sat straight on the stool… 😳

Dipika moaned a little and opened her eyes to see a concerned looking Aryan in front of her….

Dipika: Aryan!

Aryan: You are fine…. We are in hospital!

Dipika nodded once and tried to sit up…. But she slipped a little balancing on her one hand….

Immediately Aryan stood up from the stool and held her… 😳

Dipika looked into those eyes that were close to her face now… What she read confused her more and more…. She saw the pain she felt…. She saw the concern in them…. She saw what? Love?!!??! No!!!! How could that be? She couldn't be wrong in her understanding….

Aryan supported Dipika to sit all the while looking back at her… What he read confused him? He had never seen confusion in Dipika… She was crystal clear about matters she dealt with… Then why was there a confusion and fear in those beautiful gorgeous attractive eyes…. 😕

Just as Dipika settled back Aryan let go off her and asked….

Aryan: Water? ❓

Dipika: Thank you!

Aryan filled a glass with water from its jug kept on the side table….. He offered it to Dipika who drank it thirstily…..

Thinking of something to talk about Aryan said teasing…..

Aryan:Shayad tumhe hospitals bahut pasand hai…. Isliye Mumbai ke sab hospitalon ki tour karne lagi ho…. 😃

Dipika looked at Aryan grinning…. Giving back the glass she just smiled…. Instead of chiding back she asked….

Dipika: Chalein? ❓

Aryan looked at Dipika wondering why she didn't retort back like usually she did……..

Aryan: Haan… Neeche bill pay karke we'll leave!
Dipika started to get down from the bed… Aryan extended his hand to her but Dipika looked at him and smiling a little declined the offer and left the room….

Aryan looked at her go and at his outstretched hand…. He felt a pain shoot up to his heart…. 🥺

He bit his lips thoughtfully and then followed Dipika outside…. 😕

Aryan: (Softly) Mujhe ab bhi lagta hai ki tumhe ghar jaake aaram karna chahiye…

Aryan said as he and Dipika entered Special Squad office........

Dipika: (Sternly) Aur mujhe bhi, ab bhi lagta hai ki mujhe yahan hona chahiye….

Aryan looked on helplessly as Dipika entered the autopsy room and disappeared in…. Oh… When will she change and stop been so stubborn!

Seeing Aryan and Dipika enter the Special Squad office Neha came up to them…. When she reached Aryan, Dipika had gone in….

Neha: (Looking at the autopsy room) Aryan! Dipika… Kaisi hai? ❓

Aryan turned to look at Neha and said…

Aryan: Kaisi lag rahi hai? As usual she got her way… Doctor ne kaha ki haath me phir se chot lagne ke karan, throbbing zyada ho gaya tha, isliye behosh ho gayi…. Otherwise she is fine…. 😊

Neha: Thank God! Lekin Aryan tumhe Dipika ko mere ghar drop karna chahiye tha… She should be taking rest! 😔

Throwing up his hands in frustration Aryan said….

Aryan: You tell me! The whole drive from the hospital to Special Squad main yahi keh raha hoon… Lekin madam ke dimaag me kya chal raha hai, I don't know… She said she will come to office till this case is closed!

Neha shook her head and smiled at Dipika's stubbornness…. She knew that after that article Dipika would be even more strict with them and follow them with keen hawk eyes…. Now she feared for Ajay and Boxer who had been sent on the mission by Aryan…… 😒

Neha: Aryan… Dipika pehle se zyada saqt hogi is case pe…. Agar use pata chala ki tumne Ajay aur Boxer ko kaheen bhejha hai to…. And I am sure it is not official…..

Aryan: (Biting his lips) Neha! (Putting and arm around her shoulders 😉 ) Agar bataya tab hi pata chalega naa… Waise bhi unofficial kahan, we do need to know the source of the article naa? 😈

Neha nodded grinning and Aryan squeezed her shoulder reassuringly and let go of her…. He started to go to his cabin when he saw the interrogation room empty….

Aryan: Neha…. Sinhas aur Mehtas kahan hain? They should have waited till I returned…. 😳

Neha: Pata hai Aryan! Lekin kitni der unhe main yahan rukvati… They started to get into verbal fights again… Isliye jitni information collect kar saki maine karke unhe bhejh diya… Lekin kaha hai ki phir se hum unhe bula sakte hain!

Aryan: Oh… Then that's okay! Us report ko zaraa mere cabin me laana aur Shotgun ko autopsy room bhejh dena for Dipika's help… Akeli nahi kar payegi!

Saying Aryan went to his cabin, while Neha nodded and went to her place to perform the duties given………… 😊

Aryan: So Sinhas ka kehenaa hai ki Manish was on drugs for the past year…. Hmm… Interesting aur unki beti Natasha uski bahut achchi dost thi… Same college and same class……. She was seen with him very often…. Lekin Mehtas ka kehenaa hai ki she was the one who treated him to drugs…. 🤔

Aryan was reading the report and pacing the room while Neha updated him the details she had collected….

Neha: Haan… Mr.Sinha ne kaha ki when he knew Manish was on drugs he had scolded Natasha to stop seeing him… But she had continued to see him….

Looking up at Neha Aryan questioned…..

Aryan: Love affair? ❓

Neha: Nahi… Actually iska koi indication nahi dikh raha… Unki college ki information mili hai… Wahan investigate karenge to shayad pata chalega…

Aryan nodded and was about to get tell something when he saw Dipika and Shotgun walk past his cabin to Shotgun's lab… Aryan eyes followed them to the lab and he turned back puzzled at Neha… 🤔

Neha too looked on wondering what Dipika had discovered…

Aryan decided to wait and continued with his analysis….

Aryan: Ajay aur Boxer se kehke college me questioning karvani hai…

Neha: (Pushing up her spectacles, she replied smiling a little) Well… Maine Ajay ko phone kiya tha… Usne kaha ki tumhara mission pura hote hi vo is kaam ko karenge…😉

Aryan looked at Neha shaking his head and smiling…
He then went back to study the rest of the report of Sinhas and Mehtas…..

Aryan: (Frowning) Is report se hume information to bahut kuch mila hai… Lekin nothing is concrete… All the Sinhas and Mehtas have done is blame the other victim for their kid's death…. So nothing they say can be believed just as on….

Neha agreed with him….

Neha: Bilkul... Maine un do couples se seperately hi questioning ki, but they seemed to understand what the other person could have said.... And what they said countered their statements! 😵

Aryan nodded and looked up in time to see Dipika and Shotgun enter the room….

Shotgun: Aryan… Drug ka pata chal gaya! 😛

As Shotgun gave the news Dipika went to her seat and sat down…. She looked elsewhere but was concentrating on the conversation….

Aryan and Neha looked at each other and back at Dipika and Shotgun astound…. They got the cause of death!👏

Aryan: Kya?!!? Koun sa drug hai? 😲

Shotgun: Liquid ecstasy !

Aryan: Kya?!?! Liquid ecstasy?!?!? Lekin aisa drug maine kabhi suna nahi…

Shotgun: Actually Aryan ye drug India me nayi hai… Lekin foreign countries me ye racket fast spreading hai…. Especially places where universities are famous…. Like London, America… 😕

At this Aryan looked at Dipika and knew that she was the one who found out the drug's identity…. But wondered why she wasn't giving him the report directly… And he didn't like it… 😈

Aryan: Shotgun… Mujhe detail me batao… Tumne drug ko identify kaise kiya? ❓

Shtogun: Actually Aryan maine nahi Dipika ne identify kiya hai…

Aryan's guess was confirmed.... He was still looking at Dipika... He nodded to Shotgun's answer and went to her table…. Purposefully to make her speak up Aryan asked her the details….

Aryan: Dipika! Ye liquid ecstasy kya hai?

Dipika looked at Aryan and then at Shotgun and Neha… She had felt like talking to no one so she had said her findings to Shotgun and told him to report to Aryan… But since now Aryan was asking her directly she felt compelled to answer, because she didn't want to create unnecessary scene here…. 😊

Dipika: Ye liquid ecstasy ordinary ecstasy ki tarah nahi hai Aryan… It is very fatal… Kyunki vo blood stream pe directly mix ho jaata hai and affects your brain first…

Aryan: Lekin Dipika… Liquid ecstasy ke baare me koi bhi information nahi thi kaheen bhi…. Net, reports!

Dipika: Nahi milegi Aryan because it is not a drug manufactured everywhere… Aryan sab countries me drug rackets hain… Lekin there are certain countries which manufacture them and smuggle them… And mostly sab jagahon me common drugs manufacture hote hain… Difficult to prepare, complicated formulae drugs are available only in certain countries… And one such place is London… And that is the main place for Liquid Ecstasy….

Aryan: (Shocked) What?!?! 😲

Shotgun and Neha were too listening to this shocking piece of information... Eventhough Shotgun knew the drug details, this piece of information was new to him! 🤔

Dipika: Haan Aryan… Actually tumhe pata hai ki dus saal pehle main London me studies kar rahi thi… Tab mere college me ek ladke ki mauth ho gayi… Due to this liquid ecstasy… That was the first reported case of death due to the over dosage of liquid ecstasy in London…. In such rare cases we as forensics students have the authority to study the case…. Since mera interest drugs me tha, maine vo case study ki thi… All the symptoms of death, body reactions…. Changes in the body after death… The drug composition are all same between the bodies as far as I remember…. But I am sure this is liquid ecstasy! ⭐️

Aryan: Oh… My!

Dipika: Lekin ye baat sochne ki hai ki us case ke baad liquid ecstasy rotation was becoming difficult in London… Aur jahan tak maine follow kiya hai, uske baad very few cases of death were reported world wide due to this drug overdosage… And I am now surprised that this has started in India…. Doosre drugs ho, to Aryan unke liye treatment hain… People under its influence have chances of recovering… But that's not the case with this ecstasy Aryan! Its finality has alwasy been death 🤢

Aryan,Neha and Shotgun absorbed the shocking news… Such a fatal drug was now in the roam here… And it had taken the lives of two kids already…. 😕

Inwards Aryan vowed to get the drug supplier as fast as possible… But that was not enough… Drug suppliers were actually mediators part of a big gang…. Getting them was alone not enough, they had to get to the high hand….
But alas Special Squad had not the power to do so…. So Aryan made a deal with himself to at least avenge the death of the two kids…. 😡

His mind set to work on the news and the case developments….. 👏

Aryan: Neha… Pata lagao ki kya aise death cases reported hain jiska cause of death drugs hai, lekin drug ki identity pata na ho… We may get a lead from them to the drug supplier…. Some drug supplier seems to be the prime suspect.... Sirg drug overdosage ho to we don't have a case... But since the girl was raped... And from yesterday's report the boy's DNA does not match the one found in the girl... So we have a case!Shotgun tumhari madad kar dega…

Neha and Shotgun nodded and went off to do their work…. 😊

After they left Dipika asked in a suspicious….

Dipika: Ajay aur Boxer kahan hai? 🤔

Aryan looked at her suppressing a smile and said….

Aryan: College gaye hain…

Dipika burrowed her eyebrows and looked at Aryan questioningly....

Grinning Aryan said......

Aryan:Of course padne nahi... Ajay hates studies you see! Vo do victims ek hi college me ek hi class ke the… To unke baare me information collect karne gaye hain….. 😃

Dipika nodded not smiling and started to browse through a book on her table… Her laptop was at her home… She thought of getting it that evening as she would be coming to office from then… After the leak, she was not prepared to take anymore risks…. She was going to supervise this case all the way to its end….

Aryan went back to his seat and sat down looking at Dipika….. Of course he hadn't told Dipika whole truth about Ajay and Boxer but hadn't told any lie either… He just hoped they both were successful and would not foolishly bring that guy here, with Dipika around…. He wanted to interrogate him in his own way and for that Special Squad was not a proper place…. He started to work on his laptop occasionally glancing up at Dipika fully engrossed in her book….

Aryan was disappointed that Dipika hadn't looked up at him even once…. He wondered why Dipika was behaving cold with him? What had he done? He was even more confused than before…… But one thing he knew for certain was that he would never know the reasons for her been so cold, because he could never muster the courage to talk to her about that and she was already not talking to him properly…. 😕

But little did he know that Dipika was just having the book in front of her as an excuse…. She was actually thinking about him only… Hundreds of questions were running in her mind and she wanted answers for it… But she was not in a state to get them herself…. She sighed thinking that all these questions were going to remain unanswered for the rest of her days….. Because neither Aryan was going to talk to her openly and neither was she going to ask him anything which would upset him!

Tchch.. Tchch... Tchch.... How wrong Dipika and Aryan where? 😉 Little did they know that they would get answers for all their questions in near future…. A very near future…. A very very very very very near future that too 😃

The phone on Dipika's desk rang! 😛

Late that afternoon……

One'O Clock……

Aryan entered the cabin and found Dipika seated in her place, staring into the space….😳

Aryan came in and stood at the door watching her keenly, wondering about what she was thinking…. Was it about the phone call they had received or something else? 🤔

Aryan: Dipika!

Coming out of her reverie Dipika looked up at him and asked…..

Dipikia: Tum logon ki investigation kaise thi? ❓

Aryan came in and standing in front of her said….

Aryan: Well… Kuch lead nahi mila… Lekin information zaroor mile….. Manish aur Natasha St.Patrick's College of Arts and Science me padte the… Dono ek hi stream ke, ek hi class ke the…. Achche dost bhi the… Lekin sirf dost… Unke aur doston ka kehena hai ki they were good, die hard friends.… Both Manish and Natasha were very well behaved and perfect example for students….

Dipika: (Thinking) Perfect examples of students! Taking drugs! Ye to interesting hai……

Aryan sat down on the chair and then said…..

Aryan: Us din, jis raat unki murder hui thi… Dono subah college gaye the… Lekin afternoon classes me nahi aaye… It seems they were not the type to miss classes and all… Ajay ke poochne se ek information ye mili hai ki Manish was behaving strange in classes for the past three months… Padta tha, lekin jaldi bhool bhi jaata tha… And he was getting nervous at each and every small matter!

Dipika: Manish ek saal se drug me tha… I think uska asar hone laga tha….

Aryan: Haan.. And the rest is what we know….

Dipika: Kyun Aryan, Manish ka sirf Natasha hi dost thi kya? ❓

Aryan: Hmm… Nahi… He was good and popular with everyone… Natasha bhi… Lekin close sirf vo dono the!

Dipika: Haan hoga kyunki Neha ke reports se ye pata chalta hai ki Natasha aur Manish were friends from young age… From birth in fact… Unke dono parents have been living in Bandra neighborhood for past many years….

Aryan: Boxer ne poochtaach ki thi ki kya Manish se pichle maheenon me koi anjaan aadmi milne aaya tha… Drug dealers have the habit of targeting youngsters at college only… Lekin vo bhi negative nikala! Koi bhi Manish ko college me milne nahi aata tha… 😕

Dipika: Hmm.. Phir to un do victims ke ghar ki talaashi leni chahiye... We may get something from there…. 😔

Aryan: Haan… Hum abhi waheen jaa rahe hain…

Dipika: (Nodding) Achcha… Lekin we have to meet the commissioner today at three… Yaad hai naa? ❓

Aryan: Haan… I'll pick you up at 2:30 here… Commissioner office itni bhi door nahi hai….

Dipika's interrogative soft tone turned stern when she answered……

Dipika: Main khud aa jaoongi Aryan… Tum logon ko wahan der ho sakti hai…

Aryan: Nahi hoga… I'll be here sharp and we can….

Dipika: (Interrupting) Aryan maine kaha naa, I'll manage… I'll be there on my own! 😳

Hearing her voice turn sore Aryan left the matter at that… 😵

He felt like asking Dipika the reason for her been so moody…. He felt upset with the way she showed negligence towards him… Not only that today while in office, he had heard Neha say that Dipika had showed negligence towards everyone there… She was shut up in the cabin, browsing a book or was working in Shotgun's system when not in use, because Shotgun's lab took most of his time…. 😒

Ajay: Aryan! Aryan!

Aryan came out of his thoughts and looked up at him standing beside the table.... He found Ajay's hands in front of his face… Seems he had been waving them for long….. Boxer was also standing behind Ajay looking at him weirdly….. 🤔

Ajay: Kahan kho gaye the? Kab se bula rahe hain… Der ho rahi hai.. Chalein? ❓

He looked back at Dipika and found her looking at him meaningfully… 😔

Getting up Aryan stuttered in his words and said…….

Aryan: Haan chalo…

Ajay and Boxer went out…

Aryan opened the door and was about to follow when he stopped in his tracks and turned back…. Still holding the door he asked Dipika….

Aryan: Khaana khaya?

Outside Ajay and Boxer breaked their steps and grinned at each other... Standing there they leaned forward to hear what conversation was going on 😉

Dipika blinked once at the unexpected question but composing herself said…

Dipika: Haan… (Pausing) Tumne?

Aryan: (Clearing his throat) Er… Haan…

Dipika: (Shaking her head) Forget it Aryan! Tumhe jhooth bolna nahi aata…. Achcha hota agar khaake investigation ke liye jaate… Lekin tumse kehke koi faida nahi.... Anyways der ho rahi hai… Tum jao!

Aryan looked at her and knew she was upset about him not having his food... But wondered why she didn't scold him like always she did when he didn't do something right! 😒

Feeling his coat packet Aryan came back into the room….

Seeing the cabin door close Ajay and Boxer made a face as if upset and went off down to take out the vehicles.... 😆

He took out a brown cover from his pocket and opened it…. From it he took out a paper and extended both the cover and paper to her……

Aryan: Ye tumhare medicines… Subha doctor ne di thi… Pain killers hain… Actually lunch ke baad ek dose hai to… 😳

Mildly surprised Dipika took the them from him and smiling a little hesitantly said……

Dipika: Er… Thank you! Lekin tumhe pareshaan…

Aryan: (Interjecting) No…. No problem… Anyways bahar gaya tha, to I remembered having the prescription to laa diya….

Dipika: Thank you once again! Waise iske kitne hue? ❓

Aryan looked at her stunned for a moment and answered back…. 😒

Aryan: Dipika its fine… Humare beech….

Dipika: Nahi Aryan… No leva devi in fr… Mera usool hai Aryan… Kitne hue? ❓

Aryan got hurt and angry that Dipika was been so difficult… As a colleague, as a friend and for him more than that… But still she was behaving indifferently! He felt responsible for her… But she was?!?!?

Aryan: (Harshly) Fine…. Hazaar lakh hue… De dena….. And I prefer cash… Right? 😡

Saying he stomped off from the cabin before Dipika could say anything….

Dipika looked at him go, getting angry like that and wondered upset…. "Kyun Aryan? Itna concern mere liye kyun? As a friend I really appreciate it… Lekin tumhari ye changes, ye concern mujhe samajh nahi aa raha… You are now all I wanted to be… Yearned to see you as you are now…. And you have become like that… Lekin bahut der hone ke baad…. I really love you and no one can change that… Par tum to?!?!? Phir mere prathi ye…"

Dipika stopped thinking as the door opened and Aryan came back into the room carrying a glass of water….

Without a word he placed the glass on the table and took the cover and paper which was still in Dipika's hand….

While Dipika watched dumbfounded, Aryan read the prescription and took out the tablets from their covers.…
He then caught hold of Dipika's left hand placed the tablets in her palm… Then he placed the water glass near her on the table and said in a plain tone……

Aryan: Khaa loonga! Khaa lena!

Without another word Aryan disappeared from sight……

Dipika looked at the door through which he had disappeared, at the glass of water in front of her and at the tablets in her hand… Without re thinking she put the tablets in her mouth and drank the water….

Looking back at the cabin door through which he had disappeared, Dipika smiled a little and said…. "I love you Aryan"!

Commissioner's Office……

Two Fifty Five p.m……

Dipika was pacing the lobby looking at the office door….. She was getting angry at Aryan for been late…. She looked at her watch and at the door again… She had countless time tried his cell which was coming unreachable… She felt frustrated…. She decided to give him a dosage if he came late for meeting.... Oh... These Men! 😡

The lobby clock struck three and Dipika looked once at the door shaking her head…… The police clerk came to her…..

Clerk: Madam, sir bula rahein hain!

Dipika nodded... She was thinking of what excuse to give the Commissioner for Aryan been late, when she heard....

"Yahan khadi khadi kya soch rahi ho? The Commissioner is waiting for us Dipika.... You are always late" 😆

Stunned Dipika turned to see Aryan striding off straightening his coat.... She smiled shaking her head thinking "When did he come?!?!?"

Aryan turned around with a grin on his face and indicated her to come.... Straightening her face she followed him..... 😃

The Commissioner was waiting for them…. Aryan knocked on the door and opening it slightly asked for permission…. He held open the door for Dipika and both entered the room…

Aryan went up to the Commissioner and shook hands….

Aryan:Hello sir!

Commissioner: Hello.. Aao baitho… Aryan…. Dipika…. (Looking at her) Ab kaisi hai tabiyat? Maine suna tha kal ke baare me…

Dipika: (Sitting down) Thank you sir… I am fine now… Bas haath me fracture hai… Thode dinon me theek ho jayega….

Commissioner: You should have taken rest Dipika…. Leave le leti!

Looking once at Aryan seated beside her, Dipika commented…. 😔

Dipika: Sure sir! Lekin jis tarah se case ke events turn hue hain…. Main…

Dipika left it at that and looked at Aryan sideways who was also looking at her intently wondering whom she was going to indicate for the news leak… 😈

The Commissioner looked at Dipika and Aryan glance at each other…. The smiling a little to himself said…

Commissioner: Of course…. Subah jab maine ue article padha I was really angry… Tum log itne irresponsible kaise ho gaye? 😡

Aryan: Lekin sir, maine aap ko explanation di thi… Ki hum me se kisi ne press ko koi information nahi di… We are also baffled as to where from they got the source….

Commissioner: Aur Aryan tumne kaha tha ki us par kaam karne waale ho…. Kuch mila? ❓

Aryan: Ji… Vo… Sir… Abhi tak nahi… Lekin maine Ajay aur Boxer ko ispe lagaya hai… Humare case ke investigation ke saath saath uski bhi chaan been karne ko kaha hai….

Commissioner: Lekin Aryan be careful.. Agar leak Special Squad se hoti hai, then there would be big time trouble for all of you….

Aryan: (Confidently) No sir… Definitely leak yahan se nahi hui hai…..

Commissioner: I hope so…. Case ki investigation kahan tak pahoonchi hai? ❓

Aryan: Sir humne drug ki identity pata laga di hai… Saath hi humne un do victims ke college, ghar me sab pooch taach aur talaashi ki hai…. Sirf hum eek solid lead chahiye… Someone or something that might indicate the drug dealing mediators… Kyunki hume yakeen hai ki wahi kaatil hai! 🤓

Commissioner: (Surprised at the development 🤔 )Drug ki identity?!?!? 😲 Aryan subah to tumne kaha tha ki drug ke baare me kuch pata nahi chal raha! ❓

Aryan smiled a little and with a pride in his voice…..

Aryan: Credit Dipika ki hai sir! 👍🏼 ❤️

The Commissioner and Dipika didn't fail to notice the pride in Aryan's voice while telling Dipika's name… The Commissioner once again smiled knowingly and looked at Dipika….☺️

Dipika: Sir drug ka naam, liquid ecstasy hai… Aur…

Dipika stopped saying anything further seeing the expression on the Commissioner's face… She looked at Aryan who also was surprised at the stunned, expression of disbelief on his face…..

Commissioner: Dipika! Are you sure ki drug Liquid Ecstasy hi hai? Are you sure? Lekin vo to rare hai India me… Uski reports bhi nahi hai yahan!

Dipika: Sir haan… I am confident about it… Maine use sabhi tests se run through kiya hai…. (Frowning 😕 ) Lekin sir kya aapko?!?! 😵

Dipika stopped short because she felt like she was questioning her superior and she didn't want to that…..

Aryan too was stunned at the revelation that Commissioner might know about Liquid Esctasy! 😲

The Commissioner was looking thoughtful and said aloud to one in particular…..

Commissioner: Maine yakeen nahi kiya…. But seems it was all right!

Aryan: Sir! ❓ 🤔

The Commissioner came out of his reverie and said hastily……

Commissioner: Aryan! Dipika! Tum log jo case handle kar rahe ho, vo ek taraf…. But we have an emergency…. Kal se tum log ek aur case or yoon kaho ek mission pe kaam karoge….

Dipika: Sir aapne phone pe kaha tha ki koi zaroori matter hai… Yahi…

The Commissioner's voice became stern and serious…. He talked….. 😳

Commissioner: Haan Dipika… Its just about this…. Tum logon ko pata hai ki Mumbai me drug racket aaj kal bahut badta jaa raha hai… Usi silsile me kale k meeting hai yahan… Ten'O clock… Main chahatha hoon ki tum log bhi isme shaamil ho…

Aryan and Dipika looked at each stunned at such a proposal for Special Squad because they were not sure whether they were qualified for such a big work as this….. 😕

Dipika: Sir lekin hum to sirf crimes solve karte hain… Itni badi racket mission ke liye?!?!?

Commissioner: Nahi Dipika… Special Squad is qualified for that…. Besides your team was requested by the person who is in charge of the operation… Actually humne unhe police forces offer ki to he wanted to join forces with you guys…. Of course he has full belief in your capabilities and we respect it…… 👍🏼

Aryan and Dipika looked on at the Commissioner wondering who the person was who wanted to join hands with Special Squad for such a big mission……

But they were inwardly esctatic that Special Squad was given such a big task! 🤗

Aryan: Sir vo aadmi koun hai? ❓

Commissioner: Of course Aryan… Usi ke baare me discuss karne kal meeting hai… I want you both to represent Special Squad…. Kal main us aadmi ko introduce karta hoon….

Dipika: Sir… We are much privileged ki hume ye mauka diya jaa raha hai, to do something which we haven't done… Thank you!

Commissioner: (Smiling) Dipika Special Squad ko maine supervise karke form kiya tha… And time and again they have proved their capabilites…. I fully trust you all… But… Beware of what is around you… Ye mission bahut hi confidential hai… Kisi ko bhi iski bhanak tak nahi padni chahiye… 😳

Okay now you can imagine the Special Squad's special music playing when they go for a case!

Aryan and Dipika stood up…. Shaking hands with the Commissioner Aryan said with a proud smile on his face….. 👏

Aryan: Sir… We will fulfill our duties to our fullest…. Special Squad hamesha aapke saath hai!

Dipika too nodded smiling and both of them left the Commissioner's office…. 😛

After Aryan and Dipika left the inner door of the Commissioner's office opened and man came out… His mere sight looked mysterious........

He was wearing a long black coat, big black hat covering his face and a dark goggles... He also sported a french beard, a ring in one ear, wearing three long chains in his neck and rings in all his fingers! 😳

The Commissioner turned to look at him… Smiling he said…..

Commissioner: Tumhara kaam ho gaya…

The man came forward and shaking hands with the Commissioner said in a husky voice…

Man: Thank you!

Saying he left the cabin… But instead of taking the usual front route he took the back door out of the Commissioner's office………. 😔

Outside Commissioner's Office…..

Walking towards the parking lot…….

Aryan: Itna bada mauka! Unbelievable! 😛

Dipika looked at Aryan's face bloomed full… Like a small kid just been given its favorite chocolate or toy! 😳

She was happy for this success and despite herself smiled…. Because it was their victory! Special squad's victory! Where they were going to do something bigger than solving murder crimes in the city… Of course it was their duty and everyone in Special Squad fulfilled it with utmost sincerity…. But once in a while such booster cases helped the team prove their capability… Because the team is worth more than what they are! 👍🏼

She didn't hesitate to voice out this thoughts to him…..

Dipika: You deserve it Aryan… Special Squad has always been worth for what it is and will always be….

Aryan looked at her smiling happily at their chance…. He thought she looked really beautiful smiling… And then it striked him that it had been ages since he had seen her smiling so much, genuinely…. 😍

Aryan: Hmm… We all deserve this… Special Squad solves crimes, and specializes a lot in that too… But such a chance is Golden to prove our team's capabilities more to the outer world!

Dipika: (Agreeing) Of course…. And in Special Squad's history it is always said that this present team is a wonder taking its name to great heights!

Aryan looked her and nodded silently ….

Only then did Dipika realize that Aryan was holding the passenger door open for her to get in…. And only then she knew she had come so far…..

Actually before leaving from Special Squad she had thought of coming here alone and leave alone too…

She looked at Aryan who was patiently waiting, door opened, looking at her…. 😉

Dipika thought out a way to get to the office on her own, but was not able to find a reason… Anyways they had a case to catch upon… So without a word she entered through the door Aryan held open for her patiently…...

Smiling Aryan shut the door and entered his side of the car….. 😊

Aryan and Dipika were seated in the car….

Just as he put the key in the ignition she exclaimed.….

Dipika: Oh… Sorry Aryan! Main shayad apna bag Commissioner sir ke cabin me bhool aayi…. Ek minute…

Before Aryan could ask her anything, she had opened the door and was hurrying up the lane to the entrance….

Aryan snapped his belt and started the car… Wondering he drove the car up to entrance and waited there for Dipika…. 🤔

It was taking a long time for her to return… After ten minutes she came down the stairs and got into the car….

Dipika: Sorry Aryan… Vo sir mere health aur medication ke baare me poochne lage…. Chalein? ❓

Aryan nodded and was about to start the car again when he saw Dipika struggling with the catch on the other side to snap the belt…

Aryan removed his belt and said….

Aryan: Main kar deta hoon!

Dipika opened her mouth to deny his help… Aryan raised his eyebrows as if asking "Can you do it?" Sighing she left the belt…..☺️

Smiling to himself at his little victory he bent towards her side to button her seat belt…. As he bent a little further to snap the belt he could smell her sweet fragrant perfume… He inhaled a little inconspicuously… Then chided himself for his stupidity and snapped the belt………. ❤️

Dipika looked down at him and bending and tried to back as far as the seat would take her… Feeling him so close stirred the sleeping thoughts she had in her minds… She shuddered as she felt the chill leave her… Taking a deep breath she noticed that Aryan was back in his seat and had started the ignition….☺️

They left the Commissioner's office to Special Squad….. 😃

The man wearing the black coat, hat and goggles came out of the shade of the tree near the parking lot, under which he was standing …. He smiled slowly and hands in his coat pockets left the building from the back gate, just like he had come in…..🤔

Nine O'Clock…..

Dipika was browsing through the channels in the television….

They had a hectic day at the office…. They had got a lead about the drug mediator's whereabouts…. But when the team reached there the place was empty…. But they had found indications of drug usage, syringes and all… So they were on the right track….

Unknown to Dipika but the rest of the gang…. There was a lead on the reporter…. The reporter was not available…. Seems he had gone away for covering a story…. And Boxer and Ajay were hawk eyed on the newspaper office for his return…… 😈

Dipika and Neha had returned home changed into their night dresses…. They had just had their dinner… Neha was cleaning up…. Even though Dipika had offered to do some help she could Neha had firmly denied it….

Just as Dipika switched over to a Cartoon Channel, Neha came carrying a tray with two milk glasses…. Setting it on the table, she took a glass and sat down beside Dipika on the sofa and extended the glass to her…. Taking the glass, Dipika thanked her and Neha took her glass……….

Seeing the Tom and Jerry cartoon Dipika chuckled a little and said…. 😃

Dipika: (Taking a sip) Yaad hai Neha… Jab Aryan hospital me tha and he was getting bored….

Neha too understood what she was getting at and giggling said…. 😆

Neha: Bahar ghoomne ke liye doctor se daant padi thi….

Dipika: And to shut him up in his room they arranged a television which aired only cartoon channels….

Thinking of this both of them laughed out…. 😆

Neha: Vo bhi kya din the… Aryan jab hospital me tha tab to our days were gloomy and tough… Jab vo coma se bahar aaya, we had so much to enjoy and love….

Dipika: (Thinking 🤔 ) Haan Neha… Last year was a year never to be forgotten… Special Squad me mere lag bag do saal se upar hone waala hai… And I have never felt so much at home anywhere…..

Neha: (Grinning 😃 ) Hume ab bhi vo din yaad hai jab tum pehli baar Special Squad aayi thi and instructed us to do paper work….

Dipika: (Chuckling) And I knew you guys didn't like that…. 😛

Neha: (Eyes widening) Like!??!? Small word Dipika…. Wahan sab paperwork ko hate karte the…. With great confidence and flare Ajay said "Paper work karenge aur us aunty ko…" 😆

Neha stopped and bit her lip…. She looked at Dipika guiltily who was looking at her suspiciously….

Dipika: (Drawling) Auunnntyyy?!?!? Oh…. 😈

Dipika looked at Neha in mock anger who was trying to smile her way out of the situation…..

Neha: Vo… Er… Kuch nahi… Bas Ajay ki aadat hai… Vo… Main…

Dipika: (Then smiling) Cool Neha! Mujhe pata hai…. Hota hai…. School, college me teachers, professors ke liye nick names rakhte the… Ab vo profession tak aa gaya… Nice to see!

Neha: (Making a sorry face) Sorry Dipika… Ajay to bas mazaak ke liye….😵

Dipika: (Smiling) Neha… Tum to seriously le rahi ho… Okay paa…. Hota hai! Waise koi aur nick name hai to bata do…. I'll at least prepare myself!

Neha: (Smiling too) Mujhe to nahi lagta…. Maine sirf Ajay ki suni hai!

Dipika nodded and finished her milk…. Neha took back the glasses to the kitchen and came back….

Stretching herself she sat down back on the sofa cross legged…. Then hands on her chin she looked intently at Dipika… Just then Dipika turned to look at her and finding her staring she raised her eyebrows….

Smiling Neha shook her head and straightening asked….

Neha: Medicines le li? ❓

Shaking her head she said….

Dipika: Nahi… Sone se pehle le loongi…

Neha: Are you sure? Main tablets cover se nikaal deti hoon… Haath pe strain kyun karti ho? 😕

Dipika: (Smiling) Nahi Neha… Its okay…. Itna bhi strain nahi hai… I can manage…. 😊

Neha: As you wish! By the way bandage remove karke cast daalni hai na?

Dipika had started to switch the channels again, when she said….

Dipika: Haan… Bhagwati hospital ke Dr.Rastogi ne to kal gyarah baje ki appointment di hai… Lekin kal das baje meeting hai…. I don't think so I can go… Isliye kal phone karke shaam ke liye appointment leni hai….

Neha: (Concerned) Lekin Dipika… Shaam tak to haath me phir se dard ho sakta hai….

Dipika: Neha tum bhi naa bahut phikar karti ho.... Nahi… Do din tak bandage se sambhaal sakti hoon… Dr.Rastogi se subah phone pe baat ki to unhone bataya…. Lekin usse zyada der nahi karni chahiye….

Neha: Hmm…. (Then thinking) Dipika… Can I ask you something? 🤔

Dipika stopped switching channels which now stopped on a channel telecasting a daily soap…. Turning her vision away from the television she looked at Neha….

Dipika Lo… Ab mujhse kuch poochne se pehle tumhe permission leni ki kab se zaroorat padne lagi?

Neha: Well… Zaroorat to nahi… Lekin topic hi aisi hai….

Thinking what it was about that Neha wanted to talk Dipika said……

Dipika: Poocho!

Neha: Are you angry with us? ❓

Dipika: (Smiling at her question) Angry?!?!? For what?

Neha: Nai… Vo newspaper article….

Dipika: Oh… Neha I was angry…. And now am disturbed… Agar tum logon me se ya Special Squad ke kisi bhi officers me se kisi ne bhi is case ke baare me bahar baat nahi ki thi, to how did this go out? A million dollar question Neha…. Aur hume iske baare me jald hi pata lagana hai….

Neha: Vo to Aryan is working on that…. Jald hi hum jaan lenge ki how the matter got out! 👍🏼
