Dipikia remembered the day….

Neha barged in the autopsy room calling out…..

Neha: Dipikaa!!! Abhi tak yaheen ho? Come on yaar der ho rahi hai… 😛

Dipika turned from the table and looked at Neha puzzled….

Turning back to checking the items on the list in her hand she asked…..

Dipika: Ab kahan jaane ki itni jaldi hai? Office hours abhi khatam nahi hue hain Neha…. And I have work to do! 🤔

Coming into the room Neha put her hands on her hips and said in a stern voice…..

Neha: Oh My God! Tum aise bhool kaise sakti ho? Aaj valentine's day hai… To maine kal hi kaha tha naa ki Blue Lounge me party hai shaam ko… So we need to go now to get ready….. Work kal kar lenge! 😕

Turning back at her Dipika shook her head and said……

Dipika: Valentine's day party hai Neha… Main wahan kya karoongi? Tumhare valentine ne to aaj tumhe gifts bhi diye hain, mere valentine ko to ye yaad bhi nahi tha… 😉

Dipika stopped in mid-sentence thinking of what she had just said…. Biting her tongue she went back to her work…. 😳

Grinning Neha leant on the table and looked down at Dipika…… 😃

Neha: Aryan aisa hi hai Dipika…. Tumne aaj subah jo phool ke bouquet bhejhe the he is still confused as to who sent it…. Saamne dekhta to pata chalta….

Looking up Dipika widened her eyes and shook her head…

Dipika: Neha!

Neha: (Giggling) Ok baba… Ab chalo bhi…. 😆

Putting down the pad she had in her hand Dipika looked at Neha strongly and said….

Dipika: Seriously Neha…. Valentine party is for couples….. Main wahan akeli…. Please!

Neha: Of course it is for couples…. Tabhi to tumhe bulaya hai…. After a long time Aryan ne bhi aaj aane ka irada banaya hai…. To please Dipika!

Dipika: (Surprised) Aryan bhi aa raha hai? 😲

Folding her arms across her chest Neha nodded triumphantly and said…..

Neha: Haan… Koun manane gaya? Ajay naa…. To Aryan ko manana pada… Waise bhi uske hosh me aane ke baad pehli baar we all are going out… Last time new years eve party ek case ki wajah se cancel jo ho gayi…. Isliye vo bhi aa raha hai… Everyone in Special Squad are coming…. Every pair…. Shotgun aur Zubin ko bhi maine pair dhoond di…. So its you and Aryan… So please! 😔

Dipika: Kya?!?!? (Softly) Aryan and me!☺️

Neha smiled seeing Dipika blush…. 😉 She knew outward even though Dipika was stunned she was happy inside that Aryan had agreed to come…. She only wished that today's day would go smoothly and they would talk openly……

Neha: Haan… Tum aur Aryan pair banoge… Valentine's day party hai to no singles allowed… (Looking at her watch) Ab chalo bhi der ho gayi hai…. 😵

Dipika stood thinking for a while and nodded….

Dipika: Theek hai, main apna laptop leke aati hoon….

Neha and Dipika started out of the autopsy…. Tugging at Dipika's hand Neha said…..

Neha: Laptop packed hai… In the reception!

Dipika made way to the reception and saw her laptop already zipped and ready to be shipped off… Picking it up she and Neha made way to the office parking lot….

Neha: Dipika mujhe ghar chod doge please… Ajay Aryan ko shopping le gaya hai aaj ki party ke liye! 😛

Dipika looked at Neha raising her eyebrows… Seeing her Neha winked and said….. 😔

Neha: Come on Dipika…. Tumhe to pata hai ki Aryan will not have anything good to wear for an occasion like a Valentine's day party… Isliye shopping…

Dipika opened her car door and sat in…. Opening the passenger door she commented as Neha got in……

Dipika: (Chuckling) Poor Aryan… Zindagi bhar khud ke liye official shopping tak nahi ki hogi… Ab valentine's day party ke liye…. 😆

Wearing her seat belt Neha grinned and said as Dipika started the car…. 😃

Neha: Haan… But it will be wonderful to see him in something different… I know he is going to look dashing tonight…. Waise Dipika tum kya pahenogi aaj? Please don't tell me its anything traditional… Valentine's day party hai Dipika!☺️

Taking a curve Dipika said….

Dipika: Maine aisa kab kaha Neha ki I am going to wear anything traditional? ❓

Neha jerked her head at Dipika and saw her having a mysterious smile on her face….

Neha: Dipika!!! You mean?!?!?

Giving her a glance Dipika smiled and said……

Dipika: I mean nothing Neha…. Aaj raat ko dekh lena…. 😉

Neha: (Smiling back) Sure… I'll be waiting! 👍🏼

After more fifteen minutes drive they reached Neha's house… Getting down from the car Neha bent down and said…

Neha: Dipika wait for us at home… Hum sab saath jaa rahe hain!

Dipika nodded and waved her a bye and drove off…. 😛

Seeing her drive off Neha smiled to herself….

Neha: Saath saath jayenge! 😉

Winking to the setting sun she ran up the steps to her house to change into her outfit… Ajay would be there soon to pick her up… 😆

Dipika smiled looking at herself in the mirror… She accepted that she did look different today… She knew not why, but today she felt she wanted to look her best…. She blushed a little at this thought!

Wearing her pearl bracelet over her right hand she thought…. 😊

She was not the kind to spend hours in front of the mirror for self grooming…. Of course definitely looked into matters of neat dresses, well groomed… She liked to go presentable anywhere she went but hated over make up…. 😊

Today too she was the same… But the only difference was the dress she wore…. She wore on a black stretch satin knee length dress in a fitted silhouette, styled with square neck, cap sleeves and an open V-cutout in the back…. She had side parted her hair, with clip on one side and the other side falling free… She wore a simple single strand of pearl around her neck with a matching single pearl drop in her ears…. She wore a light colored lipstick with a neat gloss over it and a little kajal over her eyes…. 😳

She checked her gold plated watch and had just taken her black purse from the cupboard and was checking on the items in it when the bell rang twice…. Smiling she closed her bedroom door and came down… She had already checked for the locks on the doors and was on the dot ready to leave…. 😛

The bell rang again and running she came to the door….

Dipika: Aa rahi hoon…. You guys don't even have patience….

Saying she opened her apartment door and her mouth fell open… 😲

Stunned she held the door half way open… She had expected Ajay and Neha to come pick her up…. Neha had meant that way…. But instead Aryan was standing in front of her looking dashingly handsome in a his blue jeans and white v necked t-shirt…. He had a black blazer over his left arm and held a bouquet of red roses in the right hand…. 😉

Just then Aryan turned and Dipika composed herself…. 😳

Aryan was looking down the corridor waiting for the door to open, so he didn't notice it when the door did open… But when he realized it and turned back to the door he was just short of exclaiming literally… Exclaiming out of a gorgeous surprise standing in front of him…. He had thought Dipika would be in a traditional suit at the most and hadn't expected her in this outfit…. But he found himself goggling at her beauty… He felt himself going red in the face seeing her…. 🤪

Both stood looking at the ground embarrassed….. Feeling shy…. After a moment it was Aryan who responded….☺️

Aryan: (Looking up) Well… I don't mind standing here all night…. But… 🤔 😳

At this Dipika jerked her head up and smiling said…. 😊

Dipika: Oh sorry…. Andar aao naa Aryan!

Aryan: (Smiling) No its okay… I think we are getting late… Guys will be waiting there!

Dipika: (Nodding) Oh yeah… Ek minute… 😳

Saying Dipika went in and opening the shoe cupboard took out her matching black high heels… Wearing it within seconds she came out….

Locking the door she asked…

Dipika: Chalein? ❓

Aryan looked at her sideways and nodded… Together they made their way downstairs… ☺️

Dipika kept looking at Aryan and at the bouquet in his hands….. She knew it was for her but wondered why still Aryan hadn't given it to her? But didn't ask about it… 😳

Coming up to the car Aryan opened it automatically…. Dipika extended her hand to open the passenger door when Aryan caught her hand… Surprised Dipika looked at him when he said…☺️

Aryan: Allow me! 👏

Saying Aryan opened the door for her and extended the blazer wrapped hand inside indicating her to get in…. Blushing a little Dipika commented getting in to the car….

Dipika: Courtesy is it? (Chuckling) I never knew you knew so much! 😛

Rolling his eyes and smiling a little Aryan got in the driver's side and commented… 😔

Aryan: There is so much you don't know! 😉

Dipika turned towards him and tilted her head lightly smiling….

She noticed that he still had the bouquet and the blazer in his hand…. And with them he was struggling to put the key in its place…. Smiling and sighing a little she held out her hand indicating the flowers and said…. 😵

Dipika: Shayad ye mere liye hain? (Raising her eyebrows) 🤔

Aryan looked up at her from below the steering wheel and opened his mouth to speak something…. But then he bit his lip and straightened up smiling cheekily…. 😃

Aryan: Oh yeah…. (Extending the flowers to her) Happy Valentine's Day! ❤️

Surprised but pleased Dipika took the flowers….

Dipika: Thank you! I thought you would never give them! Happy Valentine's Day to you too! ❤️

Aryan looked at Dipika and after a moment both burst out laughing…. 😆

Aryan: Thank you! Hume ab chalna chahiye….

Dipika nodded, but before Aryan could again try putting the key in its place she slid the blazer off Aryan's arms and held it on her lap….. 😊

Dipika: Shayad ye driving ke liye hindrance hoga…. 😳

Aryan smiled and finally put in the key and started the car…. 😊

The whole way to Blue Lounge Dipika looked outside smiling to herself at the cheekiness of Aryan…. 😳 😊 She gave side glances towards him but saw that he was concentrating on driving… She knew that Aryan didn't indulge in other works while driving…. No thoughts, no mobile…. And of course not on his life either driving or not, no smoking and drinking…. ⭐️ Dipika thought how lucky could a woman get if such a person became her life partner! 😍

How wrong she was in thinking Aryan never indulged in other activities while driving…. Because all he could concentrate on now was only on her…… 😉 ❤️

Aryan on the was hitting himself on his head inwards… He had thought of giving Dipika the flowers the moment he saw her… Ajay had warned him several times to give them to her immediately and wish her too…. But her sight had literally made him forget himself, so where from was he to remember the flowers…. 😆 He gave a glance towards Dipika looking out the window smiling…. He wondered what she would be thinking of his stupidity, but then knew Dipika wouldn't think anything…. She was not that kind!😳

During the whole drive Dipika and Aryan spoke less to each other but more to themselves….. Aryan would glance once in a while towards Dipika….. He noticed how different and gorgeous Dipika looked in the silhouette dress…. But he felt he liked her more in traditional suits… He saw moving her blowing hair back with her hand enjoying the cool air of the night and smile…. He realized then that Dipika must like drives in car very much… He made a mental note….. Next second he looked back at the road frowning, wondering why he was noting down things Dipika liked?😍

Not known to him actually Dipika looked very often towards Aryan with a sweet smile wondering what he was thinking at the moment? Thinking more about how different and handsome he looked today in the white t-shirt and jean… She knew Aryan felt more comfortable in suits officially and non-officially he liked only kurtas…. Jean was his rare favorite….. But she sensed she liked him more this way! 😍

After a drive of half an hour Aryan and Dipika reached blue lounge….

Aryan parked the car, but before Dipika could get down he said her to wait…. He took his blazer from her and got down the car…

Wearing his blazer he came to the passenger seat side…. Then as a courteous filled man opened the door for Dipika again… Dipika looked down at the extended hand and up at Aryan and blushed a little inward…..☺️

Surprised at getting such a reception from a person like Aryan Dipika was even more amazed, but was pleased and held a private smile on her lips.

Aryan: May I? 😳

Chuckling a little Dipika nodded and held out her hand… For the first time in his life Aryan caught hold of Dipika's hand and led her out of the car gracefully… He was amazed by the softness of the hands which did autopsy in Special Squad….

Smiling he linked arms with her and led her into the hotel…. They enquired the way to the Valentine's Day party hall and made way to the basement….

As Aryan and Dipika neared the hall soft music of Kenny.G's "The Moment" was playing…. 😳

In taking the soft music Dipika whispered….

Dipika: Beautiful music… Kenny G is a wonder isn't it Aryan? ❓

Silently Aryan looked at Dipika enjoying the music and nodded…. When they opened the door to the hall they were greeted warmly by the door man…. A waiter came up to them and asked…. 😳

Waiter: Welcome sir! Table for two? 😉

Aryan and Dipika looked at each surprised and shied away immediately….☺️

Then Aryan mentioned…

Aryan: Er… Thank you! But I think we have table reserved…. Name… 🤔

Aryan stuttered at this and looked at Dipika, who too just shrugged off…. Because both of them weren't sure under whose name the table was booked…. But the waiter took a close look at them and then smiling said….

Waiter: Oh... Mr. Aryan Khanna? Ms. Dipika Gosh? ⭐️

Aryan nodded and the waiter's smile broadened even more at the recognition….

Waiter: Sure sir…. Ms.Neha Nair has booked a double table for the group… Please sir this way!

Dipika and Aryan made way to a double table near the dance floor….

When they neared the table they noticed Shotgun and Zubin already there with their partners…. Aryan and Dipika recognized them both as staffs from Special Squad…. 😛

Shotgun: Hai Aryan… Hai Dipika….

Getting up he came up to Dipika and gave her a hug… Then saying something in Bengali Dipika widened her eyes and said back something in Bengali smiling….. 😉

Then both of them went off and sat in their respective chairs…. Dipika beside Aryan and Shotgun with his pair….

Ria: Good evening mam! You are looking great today!

Ria a staff in the basement was looking beautiful in a pair of jean and red halter top…. She had her hair high straightened and was looking different from her usual curly style…. 😊

Dipika: (Smiling) Thank you Ria….. You too! (Looking at her pair Zubin) Zubin tum bhi aaj bahut achche lag rahe ho! 😳

Zubin looked at her grinning and adjusted the collar of his t-shirt….. 😃

He was happy to be out with his colleagues, but inwards felt upset about not meeting Purvi…. 😕 But he vowed to find her as soon as possible and find out how she knew him… More than ever now he felt that Purvi knew him very well and was playing games with him…. Neha and Ajay too were sure of it! 😒

Shotgun's pair was Rita the receptionist at Special Squad….. She was also looking wonderful in a single piece green thin sleeved knee length dress…. She too had her hair lose down and was wearing simple silver accessories for the dress…. Shotgun was his usual self with a shirt and pant with a black vest today…. 👍🏼

Dipika: Rita tumne bataya nahi ki aa rahi ho? ❓

Rita: (Giving a glance at Shotgun sideways) Nahi vo… Neha mam ne invite kiya to I came…. But I like enjoying evenings out like these too!

Aryan: That's good…. We should all enjoy once in a while… Work is not all….. 😵

Dipika's hand which had extended to take a glass of water froze mid way and she looked at Aryan blinking not able to believe what she had just heard… 😲

Aryan looked at her and raised her eyebrows…. Then realizing her state she shook her head immediately and took the glass and had a sip of water calming herself….. 😳

Well… Well… Someone was saying something very different today….. 😔

As for Shotgun and Zubin they were too surprised at what Aryan had just said… They had noticed many differences in him after his come back and were pleased with it… But certain differences were such that it was unbelievably true…..😛

"Hai guys!" 😛

The whole table did a neck twister to see Boxer crossing the dance floor with Haseena… Dipika raised her eyebrows at Boxer and winked at Haseena who smiled shyly…. She knew the reason for Dipika's reaction….. 😳

After marriage Boxer wore the same attire of his shirt, pant and long coat to the office…. But during such evenings out he was totally different and eyes were required to take in the change…. 👏

Boxer's language also had changed…. He was becoming more civilized now to be more exact…. 😆 His slyness was not all now… He still had connections with his under dogs, but kept them like before only for Special Squad's sake…. He cared about his family more and more as days passed…. 🤗

Today Boxer was looking exceptionally handsome in a blue shirt and a pair of jeans…. Haseena too wore a pair of jean with pink tops with a slim golden belt hugging her waist….. ⭐️

Dipika and the others greeted them both…. Sitting down Haseena looked around and asked……

Haseena: Neha aur Ajay dikhayi nahi de rahe? They were the ones who arranged all this and they are missing! 😔

Looking at his watch Aryan commented….

Aryan: Wahi to… Maine socha they would have completed two dances by the time we reached here…. 😕

Boxer: Pata nahi maamu ne kya kiya hai aaj? Aaj bhi Neha ko tang na kare to theek….

Zubin: Boxer…. Hume ghar safe jaana hai ki nahi? Are yaar unke kitmat me main apna purse bhi nahi laaya!

Aryan and gang chuckled a little at Zubin's reaction and all his partner Ria could do was just give a sly smile…. 😆

Hitting him lightly on the arms, Shotgun shushed him…. Just then the waiter came to take down their orders… The other decided to wait for Ajay and Neha, so ordered only juices for the moment…..

The juices were served within ten minutes and the gang talked amongst themselves about nothing in particular…..

After a few minutes Aryan leaned over towards Dipika and asked…..

Aryan: Waise Shotgun kya keh raha tha? ❓

Dipika who had just finished some talk with Haseena looked back at Aryan wrinkling her brows and asked….

Dipika: Shotgun?!? Mujhse…. Kab? ❓

Aryan: Tchch… Tabhi when we came in….

Dipika: Oh… Vo… (Smiling a little Dipika answered) Well… Kuch nahi…☺️

Aryan: (Sitting straight) Oh! Tum log Bengali me baatein kar rahe the and you seemed surprised too… Mujhe laga mera naam mention hua, isliye poocha….

Dipika: (Shying a little) Well... Shotgun ne kaha ki I looked beautiful today and you looked totally different and handsome too….

Aryan: He what??? 😲

Somehow Aryan felt strange about Shotgun complimenting Dipika! He was not sure, but thought he should have complimented her first! 😉

Dipika: (Confused) Kyun? Kya hua?

Aryan: Nai vo kuch nahi… Bas… Shotgun mujhse kaha hota! 🤔

Dipika: (Smiling a little) Mujhe pehle dekha to mujhse kaha…. Waise bhi tum Zubin se kuch pooch rahe the us waqt… Nothing much…. 😊

Aryan shrugged off and turned back to his juice…. Dipika fiddles her finger round the rim of the glass and thought about what actually Shotgun had said…. 😳

Shotgun had really said Dipika looked gorgeous, but more than that he had actually mentioned that she and Aryan looked like a made for each other pair, perfect walking towards them…. Now how could she say that to Aryan directly!?!?!?☺️


Just then there was a thump of bag on the table and again for the second time in the night, the people around the table did a neck twister to see who it was….

Neha stood there fuming arms crossed across her chest…. She looked wonderfully great in a black mini skirt and pink tank top, with a short netted coat… Guess she wore this attire for the night only! ⭐️

Shaking her head, Dipika gave a look at Aryan and smiling consoling she stood up and went to Neha….

Dipika: Hai Neha! 🤗

Dipika gave her hug, but Neha reciprocated it lightly.... Parting Dipika asked her…

Dipika: Kya baat hai Neha? Bahut gussa ho? (Looking behind her towards the hall door) Ajay nahi aaya? Vo kahan hai? 🤔

Neha jerked her head to look at Dipika and frowning said sternly…..

Neha: Jahannum me! And I don't want to go there... Isliye yahan chali aayi!

Dipika raised her eyebrows and smiled lightly… She understood…. They had another fight or to say some other problem had cropped up….

Dipika: Oh… Well nice idea! Jahannum is not a place for us… Tum aao!

She made Neha sit beside her and giving her a glass of sat at her chair….

Aryan and the others smiled at Dipika's comment….. They too understood that Ajay had done something worse this time….

Leaning forward Aryan asked her…..

Aryan: Neha kya hua? Itna gussa? ❓

Neha: (Putting down the glass of water) Nothing he didn't even appear…. One full hour I waited… Baad me taxi se aayi!

Haseena: Oh…. Taxi se! Lekin Ajay yoheen gayab ho gaya? ❓

Neha: (Shaking her head) Nah… Yoheen nahi… He phoned me after half an hour of said time, ki uski bike kharab ho gayi thi beech raaste me…. He said he would repair it within fifteen minutes and be there… But no… Uske baad phir se phone kiya ki bike repair nahi ho rahi and he is coming in a taxi to pick me up… All this after an hour…. I shooed him away… Aur akeli hi aa gayi! 😡

Dipika patted her shoulders and didn't know whether to pity Neha's state or Ajay's to be state…. Other tried hard not to smile at this…. Something or the other always went wrong with this pair….. 😔

Dipika was talking softly talking to Neha calming her down when she felt a hand on hers… She turned to look and saw that it was Aryan…. She looked up at him who indicated the door… Dipika leaned back behind her chair looking behind Neha and smiled, shaking her head…… 😳

Ajay had come looking dashingly handsome in a blue turtle neck shirt and black jean…. But hid face didn't show the dashing ness in his physique…. He held a large bouquet of white roses for peace in front of him….. ⭐️

Before Dipika could come back to her place to alert Neha, she noticed that Neha too had seen Ajay come in…. Stubbornly Neha twisted her face away from the entrance and faced Dipika….

Ajay literally cried looking at Boxer and Aryan… Who indicated Neha and said to go on with his manaofy tactics….. 😉

Ajay: Hrmm… Hai guys! Neha…. 😳

Neha further twisted her chair so that now her back was towards Ajay… Praying to the heaven he again called her…. ❤️

Ajay: Neha, please… I am really sorry…. Dekho is baar meri galti nahi thi… Vo mera bike…. 😭

Still with her back towards him Neha answered….

Neha: Tum aur tumhara vo khatara bike! Hamseha kharaab hota reheta hai… Kaha tha bahut pehle hi use bech do, get a new one... But no… Tumhe to usse pyaar hai… Go celebrate your valentine's day with it!

Ajay now knelt down and pushing the flowers in front of him said pleading….. 😕

Ajay: Okay fine! Tumne kaha aur maine maan liya… Aaj se vo bike nahi rahegi… Ab to please dekho!

The others just looked on eagerly to see how Neha would agree…. 🤓

Neha's frown disappeared but she still didn't look at him…. After a few minutes Ajay again said…..

Ajay: Neha please… Punishment to ho gayi naa… Yaar ghutnein dukh rahe hain!

At this Neha turned towards him and looked at him thoughtfully….

Neha: Bike!??!?! ❓

Ajay: Maine kaha naa… Kal vo nahi rahegi…. My promise!

Neha still looked at him thoughtfully.... 🤔

Dipika: Neha ab maan bhi jao... Poor guy! 😊

Aryan: Haan Neha… Main promise karta hoon ki kal se vo bike uske paas nahi rahega…. 😳

Haseena: Haan Neha… Look at him… This time he really seems sincere….. 😊

Boxer came up to Ajay and took Ajay's face in his hands and made him look up to him……… 🤪

Boxer: Bechara Neha…. Iske chehere ko dekho…. Dood litres me bhaag rahein hain… Shayad phir hume aaj milk dishes hi khaane padenge! Maaf bhi kar do! 😃

Ajay made a sweet little puppy pleading face and looked at Neha…. 😆 Seeing him make that face Neha laughed out and the others too laughed, clapping a little…. 👏

Neha extended her hand and took the bouquet from Ajay… Ajay stood up smiling and breathing a sigh of relief hugged Boxer…. 🤗

Neha smelling the roses commented……

Neha: (Looking up at Ajay) Aaj valentine's day hai to maaf kiya… Apologies accepted…… Lekin kal tak agar vo bike gaya nahi aur tum sudhare nahi to consequences bahut mushkil honge! 😳

She looked at him sternly and Ajay catching his ears nodded solemnly……. 😵

Neha kept the bouquet on the table in front of her and only then noticed the small gift parcel in it….

She looked up at Ajay still standing beside her… He had a sly smile on his face…. Smiling to herself Neha took out the gift wrap and opened it…. It was a small jewel box… She opened it to find a beautiful chain with a heart shape pendant in it…. ❤️

Neha looked up at Ajay with a wide smile… Taking it as a cue Ajay came forward and taking the chain put it around a blushing Neha….☺️

The others around the table clapped and then there was another big round of applause… Surprised everybody looked around to find the other couples also clap for Ajay and Neha…. 👏

Ajay smoothed down his hair, smiling sheepishly and sat down, while Boxer took his seat…..☺️

Leaning towards Neha Dipika commented…..

Dipika: Manana padega Neha! Guys really know how to impress and suppress us! 😉

Neha looked at Dipika smiling and nodded…. Looking behind Dipika at Aryan Neha in turn commented…..

Neha: Don't worry! Tumhari bhi baari aayegi… Because I know ke future me Aryan is going to find it a lot more difficult to impress you! 😆

Surprised Dipika said…..

Dipika: Nehaaa!!! 😲

Grinning Neha whispered back…. 😃

Just because she looked at Aryan for more than a time she needed to! 😉

Dipika closed her eyes and thought about the incident yesterday… She knew what she had done was overboard…. But she couldn't bear it when someone looked at Aryan differently… She felt more and more protective about him as days passed by….. ❤️ She also found herself changing a lot nowadays, mentally, physically and psychologically…..☺️

Opening her eyes she said sternly…..

Dipika: It was nothing like that…. Bas that she wasn't doing her work properly….

Neha gave her a look that said….. "Oh yeah! Whatever!" 😃

Shaking her head, Dipika thrust the juice glass in Neha's hand and turned around to talk to Haseena sitting on the other side before her…. 😉

Smiling Neha looked fiddled with her chain and looked at Ajay gossiping with Boxer….. 😳

She felt her heart sore up seeing him so cared and loving about her…. She sure was lucky to have him as her life-partner…. 😍 She got a truly understanding mother with him, which made the relationship more and more wonderful…. Mother!!!!??!?!? Her smiling face paved way to an upset, yet angry expression….. 😕 😡

Waiter: Excuse me Madam!

Neha shook herself mentally and looked up to see the waiter waiting for their orders…. Smiling she indicated to the others and everyone looked at their menu cards and ordered the dinner…. 😊

Just as the waiter left an elderly couple who was passing the table stopped and chided Ajay and Neha….

Woman: Achcha kiya beti… Aise apne mard ko mutthi me rakho… Warna sir chad jaate hain! 😆

The woman looked at her man and smiled…. The man nodding put his arms around her shoulders and mentioned….

Man: Haan... Lekin hum mutthi me band hue to kya hua aap humare dil me jo band hain.... Kyun beta?☺️

He winked at Ajay who nodded grinning and put his arms around Neha…. 😃

Neha shook her head unbelievingly and looked at Dipika who was too surprised at the love and affection of the elderly couple….

Dipika looked at his hand and at him again…. She was really surprised that he, Aryan had asked her for a dance! She couldn't believe her eyes and ears…. She never expected a dance with him…. She had actually prepared herself for not dancing at all that night…. Because she knew that her dance that night if not with Aryan would not be with anyone else…. But now?!?!?☺️

Before she could respond Aryan said….

Aryan: Tumhare jaisa achcha to nahi, lekin thoda bahut dance main bhi kar leta hoon…. 😔

Surprised Dipika asked him….

Aryan looked down at Dipika who had her eyes set on his face looking for some kind of positive confirmation that he too felt what she did! 😔

But they also caught the attention of everyone around including the other couples around after all she was looking gorgeous, he was looking hot and together they were looking PERFECT, just made for each other, fallen deeply in love of sea or rather ocean….

Aryan pulled her more and more closer to him while looking straight into her eyes, not aware that now not even air could penetrate their closeness……

It took Aryan and Dipika some moments to realize what they were up to…. 😵

Aryan and Dipika were stunned, shocked to the death seeing their proximity so close… The next moment they jump back…. 😔

They just couldn't look at each other especially Aryan…..

Dipika looked at Aryan shocked at the perspective of what was just about to happen in front of so many around them….. She had actually thought of it?!?!?! Shaking her head and clearing her brain lightly she stuttered back to their table.... 😕

Now the beautiful evening had turned into a sheer embarrassment for both of them…. 😒

Aryan stood there looking at her go and closed his eyes chiding himself, scolding himself for what he was about to do…. 😲

He just couldn't believe that he was about to... To Dipika?!?!! In front of so many people?!?!? He stood their biting his lips and then slowly made way to the end of the hall, and sat down in a table near the bar...... 😔

The rest of the team who were standing outside the circle looking at Dipika and Aryan were holding their breath for the wonderful moment which never came…. They chided and scolded the DJ within themselves…. 😡

They had seen Dipika leave for the table and Aryan to the other one….. 😕

Ajay: (Hitting his hand on the other palm) By God ki kasam! Ye DJ thodi der ruk nahi sakta? ❓

The group had gathered a little further away from the table and were discussing about what had just happened at the dance floor….. No one liked what had happened and had wished for more! 😵

Zubin: Tchch…. Haan yaar… Ya koi aur gana change kar deta….. Last minute pe! 😒

Looking at Dipika over at their table and at Aryan at another table…..

Neha: Wahi to! Itna achcha chance tha…. Aryan se to ise expect karna hi badi baat hai…. And when he finally did, sab choupat ho gaya!

Haseena standing beside Neha patted her hand and said soothing….

Haseena: Its okay… Akele me hain… Sochenge to sab kuch will become okay! Its just that they have never been or felt so close to each other like this before… So it happens!

Neha nodded and at the same moment all heads turned towards them both….


Over at the far end table……..

Aryan kept his head in his hands and thought frustrated…. He just couldn't understand what happened to him just now? 😔

"What happened just now? What the hell was I trying to do? Dammit? What would Dipika be thinking about me? How will I face her now?" All these question kept playing in his mind… He kept cursing himself for his stupid act, for looking at her like this and lastly for behaving with her like this….. 😡

The group watched Aryan noticing his expressions for the next few minutes, he looked nervous, guilty, embarrassed…..

Neha and Haseena indicated to Ajay and Boxer who nodded and went to get Aryan for dinner…..


At the same time the rest of the group made way to the table…..


At the table….

"What wrong with me today? I have surely lost my senses...What were we up to in front of so many people?"

She looked around herself and her gaze stopped at Aryan at the far table…..

She read the expressions of guilt and embarrassment on his face… She chided herself… She had never let him feel her feelings just for this one reason…. Never to make him uneasy in any manner and today she had let go of all her control…. 😕

How could she have allowed him to get so close to her when she knew he was fighting with something in his mind, which was the reason she knew kept him away from her…. 😒

Just then she saw Ajay and Boxer go up to the table, talk to Aryan and bring him back to their table… That was when she noticed the rest of the group had arrived at the table and were settling down…

Dipika tore away from her thoughts and tried to appear normal as if nothing had ever happened that evening…..

The waiter had bought their order and was setting the table…..

Aryan, Ajay and Boxer had also come and were settling down…. Aryan sat three chairs away from Dipika and never looked up during the whole dinner….

The group had their dinner chatting about nothing, but Aryan and Dipika remained silent the whole time…..

Background songs were still playing and some couples were dancing too….

The whole journey back from the hotel to Dipika's home was a torture for them both…..

Dipika had tried some way to reason out to not to go with Aryan…. But couldn't… Ajay and Neha had planned to go for a walk before going home and she definitely couldn't go with Boxer and Haseena… Shotgun and Zubin had promised to drop of their partners for the evening….. Since she didn't have a transport of her own and it was getting late into the night, she had to oblige going with Aryan….. 😳

Aryan drove the car in silence….

Dipika witnessed a different version of Aryan... She could see how guilty, hurt he is felling... He was even avoiding one second eye contact with her... Behaving like he had committed the biggest crime in his life or rather was about to commit... He looked pathetic in that condition…. The very situation she had never wanted him to be… She blamed herself for all that had happened….. 😕 😡

Just to avoid talking to Dipika Aryan had the music player on…. She still believed whatever was going to happen was according to their feelings reciprocating… But still been so sudden and unexpected both of them were still stunned….. 😳

She now knew clearly and very truthfully that Aryan loved her truly… But fate having it he was right now using his brains instead of heart to think about whatever happened with them…. It is likely said decisions related to love and relationship should be taken from your heart rather than mind….

Getting out of her thoughts Dipika felt that the car had stopped….

Dipika: Kya baat hai Aryan? Gaadi kyun rok di? ❓

Aryan looked down at the wheel and answered…..

Aryan: Hrrm… Vo tumhara ghar aa gaya!

Only then Dipika looked around and saw that the car had actually stopped in front of her house… Smiling feebly….. 😊

Dipika: Oh… Thanks…. Go… Good night Aryan!

Saying Dipika removed her seat belt and opened the car down… She put her left foot out of the car was about to get down when she felt a tug of her right hand…

Stunned she sat back in the car and looked surprised….

Aryan was holding her right hand looking up at her intensely… Dipika again felt her heart sore up and her heart beat rapidly…. 😍

Aryan: (Still looking close into her eyes) I need to talk to you!

Dipika didn't answer anything and looked back at him waiting for him to go on... She didn't want to disturb him in anyway now... 😳

Aryan took hold of Dipika's both hands and lifted them up.. Then looking back up at her he said….

Aryan: I am sorry about what happened tonight! Mujhe khud nahi pata ki what I was doing! I hope you'll forgive me.... 😕

Dipika immediately took her hand up to his mouth and shushed him... Then sensing what she had down she immediately put down her hand and said softly....

Dipika: No Aryan… Its… Its no one's fault…. Halat shayad.... Just forget it…. 😊

Aryan looked at her for a long time and again went more closer to her….

Aryan: Vo… Mujhe kuch aur kehenaa tha! ❤️

Dipika looked at him surprised for a long time and them smiling shyly said.... 😳

Dipika:Yoheen dekhte rahoge, ke kuch bologe bhi? ❓

Chuckling a little Aryan looked into her deep black eyes and said....

Aryan:Tum aaj bahut achchi lag rahi ho! Beautiful…. 😍

Dipika blushed a little at this and asked chiding….

Dipika: Aryan Khanna kko ladkiyon ko praise karna bhi aata hai!!

His hand slowly went up to her face and moved off the tendrils that fell on her face from the open side of her hair….

Something like a shock wave hit Aryan…. 😲

The voice… The passion in them… He had heard it before somewhere!!!!! Where had he heard it before?!?!?

Aryan immediately let go off Dipika's hand and looked at her stunned… He slowly sat back straight in his seat… He leant down on the steering wheel trying to control the flow of thoughts that were now swarming in his mind….

Images were blurred at first but became strong as they swept his focus…..

The same images which always taunted him through nights and had brought him back to his senses from coma….😵

He entered the kitchen to find Niharika cooking… Mischievous he took an apple and tried sneaking up behind her……😉Oh ho... 😳

But she was smart… She evaded him…. 😃

They both had intimate moments which were the essence of his life….

He entered jolly into his house…. He was back home early than usual to surprise her…. Seeing his cute little two year old daughter Pallavi sleeping on the swing, he went upto her…. 🤗

He: (Cajoling) Oh… Mera baby so gaya!

He stuttered….. 😕He was shocked…..😲His baby… His daughter…. 😭Foam in her mouth…. She…. Aryan stunned fell against the sofa…… 😭

Stunned he turned around to find her also in the same state as his daughter…..She too was…His world shattered…. He… He couldn't speak….Stammering he picked the phone to call Special Squad…. He broke down completely…. 🥺

Dipika entered his cabin smiling….. She was back in Special Squad after a long leave…. 😛


He gave Dipika a high five… They had won a difficult case…. 👍🏼


He accepted his family's tragedy….. Dipika had helped him…… 😊

He remembered Bomber reliving his family's tragedy… Aryan had become mad…. He had avenged his family's death… He had pulled down Bomber…. In a sense he felt relieved to have bought justice to his family….😈

He saw Shaina reading a letter… Love Letter?!?!?!?! 😉

Looking up Shaina smiled sweetly at him… Was he sneaking?!?!?!?!?☺️


He caught Shai when she fell from a height…….. 👏

He knew they felt different towards each other…..😳

He: Shai…. I… I think ke tum use yahan bulvalo…. Main us aadmi se baat karta hoon… 😕

Neha hugged him welcoming him back to Special Squad…. 🤗

Shai: I missed you….. 😳

He: I… too missed all of you…… 😉

He was in tears... Shai said she was leaving Special Squad for the sake of her son Sunny.... 😭

Dipika placed her hand over Aryan's shoulder and was just about to call out to him when….

Head still on the wheel Aryan mumbled…..

Aryan: Shaina… Can I say something to stop you?

Hearing this Dipika's voice came out hoarse, shocked and stunned…..

Dipika: (Hoarsely) Aryan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😲

Aryan thought back to the present scenario he was in…..

Everyone he loved seemed to leave him forever….😕

His family…. Shaina…. 😭

Shaina left him for her son… She had a purpose….He remembered her now only as a good friend…. Because the distance had proved to him that she was only for her son….😳

Neha had been in trouble countless time just to help him solve a case….🤔

Times had come where he had suspected his closest buddies….

He had even hated Dipika after the Bomber case…..😵

He now had no one but himself to like at least….. He was about to leave the world too…😒

He cannot afford to lose anyone more now…. No… Never….

He knew for long time now that he loved Dipika but couldn't lose her…. People near him seemed to be always in trouble…. No he cannot lose her… She was his life now.... 💔

He can stay away from her, seeing her happy and gay… But never be near to her and see her suffer!

Dipika's hand slid down Aryan's shoulder unbelievingly….. Something hurt her a lot in her… She felt her heart squeeze, pain a lot….🥺 Her eyes welled up…..😭

Aryan: (Mumbled) No I can't lose you! No… I can't… (Aryan's voice rose a little above the whisper) Never…. Door hi sahi lekin safe and sound… No Dip…. 😕

Hearing Aryan mumble repeatedly Dipika now became sincerely worried and holding his hand shook him hard calling…..

Dipika: Aryan! Aryan!

Aryan jerked back from the wheel… He was perspiring full from head to face…. Breathing heavily he blinked and looked at Dipika….

Dipika: Aryan! Kya hua? Are you alright? Main....

Stopping her in between Aryan said.....

Aryan: Nothing Dipika... Just a little head ache… That's it!

Dipika looked at him closely and knew he was lying…. 😳

Dipika: Aryan head ache? Kuch laaoon? Medicine? Andar aao… Thoda rest leke….

Aryan: (Hastily) No... No I am fine… Nothing… Bas ghar jaake rest loonga to theek ho jayega….😕

Still not convinced…..

Dipika: Aryan tum such me theek nahi lag rahe ho… Please andar aake thodi der baad…. Is halat me driving…..😒

Why the hell didn't she understand…. One more minute if he was here, he would definitely break down….

Irritated Aryan told…..

Aryan: Dipika! I said I am fine... I… I just need to go home….. Please!😡

Dipika was taken aback by Aryan's stern behavior… She stopped herself from persuading him again… 😔

Seeing her become upset Aryan felt he had been too harsh upon her…. Cooling down he said……..

Aryan: Dipika! I am really fine... Bas mujhe ghar jaana hai… That's it!😊

Smiling feebly Dipika said….

Dipika: Okay… Bye then! Good night!

Smiling Aryan wished her back….

Aryan: Good night!

Dipika got down from the car and before she could even look around back at him Aryan had driven off….😕

Seeing him drive off that way made her feel even more worse than before….

She remembered what she had heard in the car…..

Aryan: Shaina… Can I say something to stop you?❓

Aryan: (Mumbled) No I can't lose you! No… I can't… (Aryan's voice rose a little above the whisper) Never…. Door hi sahi lekin safe and sound… No Dip….

She turned back and sped up to her flat as fast as possible…. She tried her best not to run the rest of the way to her flat…. She couldn't even see the pavement in front of her, because of the tears in her eyes…..😭

The best day, the wonderful day of her life she had thought… Had actually turned into a nightmare!

"Dipika… Dipika…."

Dipika jerked out of her thoughts and saw Neha shaking her….

Neha: (Smiling) Kahan kho gayi thi? Chalo lunch aa gaya…

Dipika nodded and got down from the bed… Neha helped her down and made her comfortable in the sofa….

Both of them had their lunch talking about what had happened that morning…

Neha said to Dipika about her mother-in-law's call few minutes back… She had actually called casually when Neha informed her about Dipika and concerned she had enquired about Dipika's health… 😊

Neha talked and Dipika ate her lunch automatically, but the old memories which had swarmed back into her kept her five senses locked unaware of nothing or anything beside her…..
