Suli, Ira and Meera are sitting in the Hall where Ira is putting mehndi on Suli's hands. Alaka happens to pass the hall at that time and she stops when she sees all of them there. Ira and tells Alaka that they have no option but to ready themselves for the marriage. The mehndi cone becomes empty and Ira asks Meera to get more cones from her room. Meera goes away. Then Ira and Suli tells Alaka that they are well aware that its Meera's wedding and that they don't want to go along with the falsitude but there is no defying AMmaji. And that they realize how difficult it must be for Alaka to see everybody getting decked up while she has to lead a colourless life. ALaka goes away without replying anything and Suli and Ira starts laughing. (tell you, they are horrible) 😡😡😡
Yash returns to his room in a dazed state and remembers all of Ammaji's words regarding Shan and Alaka's wedding and sits down on the bed. Suli enters the room and asks him what has happened. Yash tells her that he was bound by a vow that's why he was not able to tell Ammaji that what she was doing was totally wrong, especially the way they were going to get Meera married off. Suli tells him that it is in the interest of the family that AMmaji had taken a decision and probably getting Meera married off as fast as possible was the effective way of stopping the storm in the family. Yash keeps quiet but he's still not convinced.
Gauri is sitting in front of the mirror and comnbing her hair when Alaka comes in. she compliments Gauri and hesistates a little when Gauri guesses that she had come to ask about Shan. She tells Alaka not to worr about him since he is very much prone to this habit of disappearing for a few days without informing people and that this habit will change once he settles down. Meera joins them both and she and Gauri pulls Alaka's legs a little about her concern for Shan. After Alaka leaves, Meera thanks Gauri for behaving wonderfully with Alaka and says that they are at least united in one issue. Gauri also agrees but tells Meera that they cannot agree on any other issue, ever.
Meera and Shlok are discussing about the decorations of the house when Shlok gets called away by Ira. Yash who was passing the Hall at that time sees Meera completely lost in her own world. He approaches her and asks her why she is beign so adamant about getting her Mother married and didn't she care for what people would say? Meera tells her that she is not at all being adamant but as a daughter she only wants happiness and love in her Mother's life, the love which she never received during her married life. Even when her Father died, he sought the hands of the 'other woman' rather than his own wife, although after that Alaka had to become his widow. All the unfair experiences that Alaka had to face after Kumar's death was mainly due to the fact that she was a widow, and amongst the family members, only Shan had spoken up for Alaka cos of his love for her. Meera asks Yash that if the family did not raise any question about Kumar's relationship with somebody else when he was alive, then why are they questioning Alaka's right to happiness, joy and color? Meera had promised that she would return happiness in her Mother's life and that she would fulfill this promise. Yash listens to her with a very loving expression on his face and later blesses her by putting his hand on her head.
Meera pulls Alaka inside a beautifully decorated room and tells her Mom that after a few days she will be in charge eof this room. Meera then asks Alaka to close her eyes and then proceeds to nearby almirah. She asks Alaka to open her eyes and Alaka finds that Meera is holidng a red wedding dress. She is shocked. But she asks Meera to wear the dress and show her. Meera is surprised and tells her that it is Alaka's wedding dress and not her's. Alaka still insists her on putting on the same and Meera feels that just because a Mother and a daughter share a unique relationship, probably that's why Alaka wanted to see her own image in Meera's self wearing the wedding dress. Meera comes dressed as a bride, looking extremely lovely, when Alaka tells her that this is how she had wanted to see her. Meera is perplexed but Alaka tells her that the dress is for Meera not her, and that Meera would be wedding a guy called Veer the next day. She seeks fulfillment of Meera's promise and asks foe Meera's affirmation for the marriage. Meera is completely surprised.😭
