Prithvi Vallabh' to take weekend slot in January on Sony TV

Sony Entertainment Television's epic new show Prithvi Vallabh' will be launching in January, its been confirmed.

The show, which will fall under the Sony Entertainment Television Original brand, is produced by Anirudh Pathak of Writers' Galaxy. The show is about two archrivals that starts with hatred on a battlefield and ends up becoming the biggest love story. It will present an untold story of an era when relentless pursuit of ambition was most celebrated and will have the element of both mystery and fiction. With an amalgamation of art, culture love and war, the show will depict an era where Indian kingdoms were fiercely protective about their wealth and masses.

It stars Ashish Sharma as Prithvi, Sonarika Bhadoria as Mrinal, Pawan Chopra as Singhdant, Shalini Kapoor as Rajmata and Alefia Kapadia as Savita.

Prithvi Vallabh' will launch on Saturday 20th January 2018 at 21:30 on Sony TV.

Alefia Kapadia excited to play Prithvi Vallabh's sister 'Savitri'

The industry is abuzz with upcoming show 'Prithvi Vallabh'. The show will have an impressive lineup of well-known artists and now we hear that Alefia Kapadia, a popular face on Indian television has been roped in to portray the role of 'Savitri' in the show.

Savitri is Sindhraj's wife, who is extremely warm and caring person, and will be instrumental in driving him to become more positive. She will be like a sister to Prithvi (Ashish Sharma) and his biggest support.

Says Alefia, "I am quite excited about my role as Savatri. In a long time, I am getting to play a positive character and it is quite close to by real-life personality. The shoot has already begun and I am looking forward to the show launch. I am optimistic that the viewers will definitely like the show and my character."
