CHAPTER 4
Urmila got shocked seeing Lakshman lying on floor unconscious.
"Swami", she shouted.
She run to him , took his head on her lap and she touch his hand , she was scared , Lakshman's body was burning hot , he was having high fever .
"Swami , open your eyes , Swami" , Urmila cried.
"Mi...laaa" , he said in unconscious state..
She was worried for him , she doesn't know what to do but she has to take quick action , she looked towards the door which was open.
"I should call Bharat bhaiya and Shatrughan bhaiya for help "Urmila thought.
"Bharat Bhaiya ! Shatrughan bhaiya" she shouted.
Mothers have gone out to meet some sages in Ayodhya for few days so they were absent during Sita exile .
Bharat and Shatrughan were busy talking about lakshman , they were sad about the fact that Lakshman too had left , the palace was feeling empty without their Sita bhabhi and his dear brother Lakshman. They heard that someone was calling them.
"Is Urmila Bhabhi calling us ??" Bharat questioned Shatrughan .
"I am too feeling the same bhaiya , we should go and check" Shatrughan replied.
Bharat nodded. They moved to Lakshman 's chamber and they were hell shocked seeing Lakshman , they were happy to see lakshman back but shocked seeing him in this state.
"Bhabhi , what happened to Lakshman?" Bharat asked in shocked state.
"Bhaiya , His condition is serious , please help" Urmila replied crying.
"But , how this all happened bhabhi" concerned Shatrughan asked .
"I will tell u , I will tell u , but, firstly please help" Urmila replied sighing.
"Shatrughan, go and quickly call physician " , Bharat ordered Shatrughan.
"As u say bhaiya" Saying this , shatrughan left.
Bharat carried unconscious Lakshman in his arms and carefully placed him on bed.
"Oh god Bhabhi , his body is burning" Bharat said worriedly .
Urmila cries .
"Bhabhi , I am calling Ram bhaiya here " , Bharat said.
"But will calling him be OK , he will get more disturbed seeing Swami's state ", Urmila asked .
"Bhabhi , bhaiya loves lakshman like anything , he is very protective about him , if we will not tell him now , he will get upset that when his dear brother lakshman need him most he was not with him" , Bharat replied calmly .
"OK , bhaiya", Urmila replied through tears.
Bharat left , Urmila sat besides lakshman and ruffled his hair. She was feeling guilty and she burst crying.
Bharat moved to Ram's chamber , the door was closed , Ram was inside , he was heartbroken , he abandon his Sita due to his duty . Even lakshman left him , he was feeling alone , His soul Lakshman and heart Sita has been snatched from him . He was feeling lifeless , he cries.
"Ram bhaiya , open the door , please", Bharat knocked the door shouting.
Ram wiped his tears and moved towards door.
"Bharat here , at this time ,what had happened", Ram said to himself and opened the door.
"Bharat , what happened , u here at this time", Ram asked worriedly putting his hands on Bharat ' s shoulders.
"Bhaiya , Lakshman has come", Bharat replied tensedly.
Hearing this , he feels that someone has pour cold water on his burning pain , he feel immense happiness in his whole body.
Tears started rolling from his eyes "Lakshman has come , really , where he is and why r u tensed ?", he asked bharat smiling.
"Bhaiya , Lakshman is here but he is unconscious and he has very high fever", Bharat replied crying.
Ram got shocked , his happiness rapidly turned into sadness , he felt something pierced his heart .
"What ?!" Ram replied.
Ram quickly moved out his chamber and rushed towards Lakshman's chamber along with bharat .
He sees Lakshman lying unconscious on bed and Urmila sitting beside him crying heavily taking his hand in her.
Ram rushed towards the bed and sat near lakshman . He took his other hand in his and tears started flowing continuously from his eyes. Lakshman's body was burning, seeing this Ram got scared.
"Open your eyes , Lakshman , talk to me , I am calling u ", Ram asked Lakshman crying.
Lakshman felt his Ram bhaiya presence and he uttered "Bhaiya" in a very low voice.
"Lakshman , open your eyes , I am here with u Lakshman , talk to me" Ram asked Lakshman ruffling his hair , crying .
"Come in Physician", Shatrughan asked physician to come inside with him .
"Physician, please check lakshman bhaiya", Shatrughan requested the physician .
Physician quickly moved towards him , tested Lakshman.
"He has very high fever and it's very dangerous for him. Let me make juice of medicinal herbs , hope it decreases his high body temperature" Physician replied.
Physician quickly make juice and gave it to Ram . Ram asked Urmila to take his head on her lap . Urmila agreed , Ram then make him drink the medicinal juice.
Physician asked Ram and Urmila to fan him and put a cool cloth on his head , cover his body with bedsheet to reduce the fever .
Physician moves out after taking permission from everyone in chamber .
Ram fans Lakshman sitting besides him hoping that he open his eyes as soon as possible while Urmila kept putting cool cloth on his head and washing the cloth in cold water and again putting it on his head continuously.
Urmila was sobbing during this and praying for his health while Ram was accusing himself for lakshman serious conditon inside his heart .
Bharat and Shatrughan moved to temple to pray for Lakshman 's health after taking Ram 's permission.
Night passed away , Ram and Urmila were still taking care of him and Lakshman fever have decreased to some extent but he was still lying unconscious on Urmila 's lap.
Now Ram couldn't able to control himself and burst crying seeing him .
"Dear Urmila , I am sorry , I am highly responsible for Lakshman 's condition , had I have not sent Lakshman to leave his mother like Sita in forest , this would have not happened. I should have understood that how my lakshman will leave his mother like Sita in forest. I didn't knew what to do , I was myself trapped in this duties, I can only trust Lakshman for this work but I should also understood his situation when I asked him to do so. I am feeling the same way when Lakshman was previously attacked by meghnath, numb , helpless , yet I had a strong faith in hanuman that he will save my lakshman's life , but this time , I have faith in lord , he will not let anything happen to my lakshman, Urmila ", saying this Ram cries.
Urmila cries.
"Lakshman said to me that he will never return to Ayodhya , what forced him to come here Urmila because as far as I know him , Lakshman never breaks his word. What has happened with lakshman , Urmila, please tell me " Ram ask Urmila with tears brimming in his eyes.
Urmila closed her eyes and sighed.
Urmila told Sita rekha incident to Ram.
Ram cries heavily hearing this selflessness of Sita and even imagining lakshman state at that moment of time send shivers down his spine .
Urmila placed her hand on Ram's hand "It was not at all your fault Jijashree, U fulfilled your duties as a king and am happy with u because everyone does not have the courage to do such difficult task. It's actually my fault that I scolded lakshman by saying such harsh words to him , he was already heartbroken and with my words , he was getting more pain , he would have thought that i will understand his feelings instead what I have done , I myself break his heart more" !!!
She again looked towards Lakshman .
"He was not able to tolerate more when I said to him that u have lost me by doing this".
Urmila cries heavily holding lakshman's hand.
Ram held her shoulders to give her strong support.
Bharat and Shatrughan came from temple and they sees lakshman still lying unconscious.
"Bhaiya , don't worry , god will surely listen to our prayers , lakshman will be fine", sobbed bharat placing his hands on Ram's shoulders .
"Yes bhaiya , my lakshman bhaiya is very brave and strong , he will surely wake up "said Shatrughan standing besides Bharat .
"Bhaiya , what have happened with lakshman", Bharat asked .
Ram cries and told all the story to him , hearing this bharat and Shatrughan cries too.
A servant came and inform Ram about an important case that has arrived in Ayodhya and he has to appear in Rajya Sabha very soon.
"Cancel the meeting , I can't come now" , Ram said sternly.
"But everyone want u , Bharat and Shatrughan in Rajya Sabha as soon as possible", servant replied .
Ram looked at Lakshman .
Jijashree , go and finish the meeting , I am here with Swami , don't worry " ,said Urmila with a brave smile on her face .
Ram tried to move but he felt someone have pulled him , he was Lakshman , who in unconsciousness state also was holding Ram's hand tightly.
Tears rolled from Ram's eyes , he carefully free his hand from him and looked at Urmila , Urmila gave him a assured look.
Ram , Bharat and Shatrughan moved out with a heavy heart , Urmila looked at Lakshman .
"I am very sorry Swami , I said so much harshly to u , I didn't understood that with what emotional turmoil , u were going through , I lost control over my senses " Urmila cries holding his hand .
"Please open your eyes , Swami , I beg u " Urmila cries .
Lakshman was still , he was motionless . Lakshman 's unconsciousness was breaking Urmila heart more and more .
She touched his head again , his fever has decreased to much level but he still not opened his eyes .
" Wake up , Swami , please wake up" , Urmila shook him and she was continuously crying.
Lakshman was motionless .
"I can't see u more like this , become angry with me for hurting u so much but atleast open your eyes and talk to me ", Urmila said.
"Lord , please give me all pain of my Swami , don't let him suffer more , he had already suffered so much , don't give more pain to him , please make him fine , please Lord , u never do wrong with right person , please , I beg u , please make my Swami fit and fine", said Urmila folding her hands crying .
"I will never leave u Swami , please open your eyes", Urmila cries.
Lakshman's fingers moved, his eyelid moved , his lips trembled , he was gaining consciousness.
"Mila" , Lakshman said in a very tired and low voice.
Urmila smiled seeing him "I am here Swami , wake up , open your eyes , U can do it , try "
Lakshman felt some energy inside him , he struggled to wake up , he very slowly open his eyes , tears rolled from his eyes and tired face and he said "Mila" !!
Urmila smiled brightly through tears " Swami" !!
