Thanks to both Shruthi and Savita .Agree with your points on the teachings that were imparted at Ayodhya and Mithila .
Not meant to actually compare but just to bring certain aspects of free thinking that were more encouraged by Janak .
Anyways , I do get the point as to the teachings were appropriate to the needs of their roles .

I loved 2 lines today. One is without love and surrender, bhakthi is incomplete and another Sita resides in Ram's heart. It was a beautiful loop closure too. Posting analysis soon

Remember the art Sita was making just before Sita apaharan. A beautiful house with everything in it except her. And she asks Ram to find her. Ram says she is in his heart. In real sense that symbolism played out today. Ayodhya doesn't want to celebrate the wedding anniversary of the princes and the princesses. Because Sita is not there. Sita cannot be seen. Ram says if they don't celebrate Sita will feel bad. And then everyone celebrates.

What does Ram do in that scene. He cuts through the hypocrisy in a way. Because how much ever his brothers and wife say they don't want to celebrate, somewhere as an individual they will be feeling happy about their union also. But they doesn't want to show that happiness thinking what will their elder brother who doesn't have his wife with him will feel. As we see them celebrating once Ram insists. In your special moments you will feel happy and you have right to celebrate it. If you see Siya and Ram is finding happiness in their own way.Ram by keeping his hands on Sita's hand symbol in Ayodhya and Sita by making mala of parijath. They don't look gloomy. Because they had taken the decision consciously for the welfare of others. And Sita she observes all the happiness residing in Ram's heart. This is where Vachan palan of Ram towards his wife comes into picture. Mahalakshmi will be in Ayodhya only till that vachan is kept. In separation that is Sita's faith. Her husband will remain loyal to her love.

Another interesting aspect that was told was lotus is a symbol of Bhakthi while Parijath is a symbol of love. Without love there is no Bhakthi. She makes parijath mala on the day she became part of Ram. The day on which she chose the bandhan of love. In that love she found surrender and bhakthi towards her husband. Ram earned her love, surrender and bhakthi through his actions. Every year she remembers that day as the day of her bandhan in a loving relation so that rest of the year she can remain surrendered to him.

It also symbolically showed a man who conquers a woman's heart will have her for lifetime. She will remain loyal to him, fulfilling all his needs in complete surrender. And heart can be conquered only through actions and not using force.

That's why Krishna connects to everyone through relations. As son, as friend, as lover, as husband. Because in a relation love is there in various form and when you do the duty in the relation properly bhakthi happens.

Now Luv Kush. Sita's love for Swarnamrig ending up in Sita apaharana. Kush love for golden bird, his fascination with which he takes Luv also ends up in them being kidnapped by Lavanasura. Once again it highlights Kush inclination towards Sita, his fascination for unknown things, his need to explore and well that leads to some struggle for both of them. But they will emerge victorious.

Shruthi I can't find your Friday analysis. Well anyway as you stated the Karan-Arjun scene was far better in actuality than precap. Today was another beautiful episode. I loved the symbolism of Ram standing in front of his Sita's handprints. Their journey has been an interesting curve. They first heard of each other, then they saw each other, they talked to each other and then the marriage bound them ...then they had first a small separation where they were constantly in each other's thoughts and then ultimately in the almost permanent separation their souls have merged...a beautiful journey by itself but outstanding in its symbolism of a human individual soul merging with the divine. Isn't this the essence of our constant rebirths, to unite with the universal soul?
Well symbolism aside I loved the scenes for their eloquence without too many words.

Savitha my friday analysis is on page 103. Yes that soul merging was beautiful. I mean they cannot be seperated. If you see Ram sees Sita as the queen, but for Sita the murthi of Ram is that of vanvass image. The king seperated his queen, but vanvasi Ram always had his wife by the side.

Thanks Shruthi just read your Friday analysis. You echoed my thoughts on Sita not going to Mithila. Both her reasons about this being her test of fire and raising her children without them knowing of their full identity is validated in the future. Whichever version the CVs take the essence of uttar Ramayan remains the same-a battle for a woman's right and dignity in an rigid rule infected society!

Yes Savitha, Uttar Ramayan was essentially Sita's struggle for her self respect. She stands alone fighting her battle not expecting anything from anyone neither from her father, nor from her husband doing her duty. She doesn't even expect anything from her sons, but the stand taken by her makes both her husband and sons support her in her quest for identity in their own way.
