The character Sita potrayed in SKR would never had choosen exile by herself. She would have tried different ways to prove herself. I think Ram knew well enough about his sita and ayodhya people. He would not want another agnipariksha of Sita and Sita trying to explain the public. Sometimes it takes harder actions to make people realize the importance of a person.

What an emotional episode !
True , tears did roll down on seeing the plight of Siya Ram !
SKR has for sure nailed it with the screenplay and the actors with their action !!

As always your analysis seemed to have handled all the aspects !
Ayodhya is in for the rude shock along with the rest of the royal family .
Just after the reunion and celebrations of coronation and godhbaraayi , the thunder would strike !
Seems like for RamRajya to prevail it is. Requisite that only Raja Ram is to be there .
In spite of being applauded for a just rule , has it's base on the sacrifice of the king and the Queen .

what a heart wrenching episode. Loved your post shruthi .I too cried today, Shruthi, for both of them. SKR has managed to show this abandonment in such a way that I felt I was seeing it from completely a different perspective{generally I don't like seeing it from this angle},but the creatives have totally won me over .For Raghukul to wake up to its imperfections and the people of Ayodhya to be shown the darkness in them, Ram had to send her away, without her knowledge. Sita was victimised but she never ends up as a victim. Ram had immense confidence in her strength that she would survive this betrayal of his with dignity and courage. And she does that by raising her children without the people of Ayodhya or its king. Their identity comes from her. Her upbringing empowers them to stand tall and question the king and his people fearlessly.
Accolades to the creative team and for the actors who nailed it perfectly.

@Sruthi di Sometimes inaction is the right thing to do. Karma gets you the fruit, but when you are crippled, physically, sometimes making others get it for you is more effective. If Sita rebelled, it would make Ayodhya seem like she was trying to hide her mistake. So, the fruit of that "mistake" comes along and changes everything. Proof can only be given by the result, nothing can be said before that.

@Savita di So true, at the end Sita is not the victim, she is the heroine, with her sidekicks at her side. We can say that even with light, darkness remains. But, only after the light is gone, can we understand what true darkness is. And related to your answer to my question, Sita was the mother to Ayodhya also, in fact to the whole world. When her children go under suffering, she doesn't react so harshly. Only under special circumstances does she react so violently. What was so special here?

@Vidya di Yes, trust sustains the relationship between two lives, and that basis maybe broke when Ram told her to do another Agnipariksha. I can see that, but I don't think that the trust between them broke. By the way, I'm Gowri. 😊

@vipraja the point was injustice to Shanta or Kausalya no one cared. Kaikeyi was denied rights nobody knew. But all of it happens to Sita and the world stands and notices.
@Savitha the screenplay was top notch. Especially Mahalakshmi steps out of Ayodhya in the darkness and when she reaches the forest it is light. It shows in a place where the minds of people is dark Mahalakshmi will not stay. People don't realize or know Lakshmi has gone. Many times it is after a long time they realize the mistake, but sometimes it will be far too late to correct it. In Sita's case since Ram was there Raghukul survived, else if Ram had broken the vachan to Siya that would have been the end of Raghukul

@Gowri Ram has the masculine aspects and Sita completes him in the feminine domain. Same with Sita too, Ram completes her in the masculine domain. Sita also needed a Ram, his true self to show the world the importance of a woman. As Sanskriti will learn only when Sanskriti stands up for Prakriti. Even today husband supporting wife is not encouraged.
And you are right, Ram wanted the world to question him not Sita. That is Vishnu's Maya. He took the blame to vindicate her.

@ Shruthi, since you have mentioned Lakshman's anger (him cutting Shrpanakha's nose) lead her abduction, then I am really sorry to say this the whole blame of abduction has to befall on Sita alone as she volunteered to go with them to forest despite them negating her request by clearly explaining about the reasons behind like, wild animals and cruel Asura's living in the forest can harm her. She said she is capable of taking care of herself and they should not worry about her safety. So let us not make Lakshman the reason for abduction nor Shatrughan for her exile to forest.

@jaya I only talked about the mistakes happened in Sita abduction. I have not held anyone responsible which includes Sita's mistakes too. In Sita's banishment yes she will have physical suffering but both Ram and Lakshman will have the guilt. If they had done this or that it might have been prevented. I only highlighted that aspect. Same with Shatrughna. When he think back he might also feel a guilt " what if".
Acceptance of mistake from various quarters leads to where the fault line is and will help in correcting the fault lines.
Whole point is is a female dispensable. The whole tradition is made in such a way that she is. People kill girls in their wombs, woman are raped, victim is blamed, dowry deaths happen no one talks dowry is still given and taken.
Even society questions the man who wants to give the woman in their life a place in the sun because it is against what majority of men think.
And extreme feminism it holds the man responsible for everything and we are moving towards that these days. Girls think by doing the vices men do they equal men. Smoking, drinking, having multiple partners, have an affair and then dump a man, emotional blackmail of men, calling a man's family baggage which the DIL doesn't want it is happening so rampant these days. Running away on the day of engagement to running away after marriage to prove a point girls are doing these. Telling we don't need a man.
Both is wrong. Prakriti and Sanskriti needs each other and they should co-exist. Ramayana was always about co-existence with Vishnu and Mahalakshmi coming to earth as humans, behaving like humans, committing certain mistakes just like humans do, paying the price of those mistakes. Only thing is that they didn't run away or hide from those mistakes. But faced the world head on and proved their love to be eternal irrespective of multiple difficulties and societal norms
And the great thing I like about epics jaya is the fact that no one is perfect. All protoganists have committed mistakes though not crimes, while antagonist does crimes . Protoganists learn from the mistakes, correct them and bring about a positive societal change which is the core message of all the epics and mythology stories which we come across which unfortunately I find lacking in present day stories written by Indian authors while Western authors does it beautifully and gracefully
