@Sruthi di Ram is bound by rules, Sita has never, she is always free. That is why everytime she arrives in Ayodhya, she ends up escaping. The cages of Ayodhya are too much to handle. But, some birds face it, like Shanta and the queens. They die in the cages, though, while the free die in the wild, much more comforting and much more free. And I agree, people are actually known through girls, but we want boys. The birds define the forest, not the hunters.

@Savitha di Yes, Ram uses different weapons every time. For Sita renouncement, for Surpanakha vengeance, and for Ahalya acceptance. It looks like he uses weapons on them, but in reality, he is giving weapons to them.

@Sanju Welcome back to you too! 😆

True, it is so difficult to be Ram, and so easy to be Ravan. That is why we remember and applaud the good, hard work is a good thing in society, while we mock people who are idlers. But, people who mock are usually people who are idlers themselves, in some way!

I have a question- why did Sita not do the Agnipariksha again in Ayodhya when she was asked to by Ram and instead took refuge in Maa Bhumi's arms? I am not saying that she should have, but wondering why she did so.

@Gowri The first time Sita did give Agni pareeksha as a solution to Ram's dilemma. The other important aspect of it could be the fact that none of the vanar sena were acquainted with Sita but readily laid up their lives only for Ram ,so she wanted to prove to them that Ram's mission to rescue her was a worthy cause. Thus it could have been her homage for their numerous sacrifices during the war.
The second time around citing her impurity factor they were questioning her sons' identity. We all know that a mother's is capable of extreme action when her young ones are threatened, hence the ultimate action. She was willing to accept their doubts about a queen, but even after Ram and her sacrifice, those doubts threatened to singe her sons, she fought them only way without comprising on her self respect. For she knew, that to silence the repeatedly cast slurs on her chastity before it destroyed her son's future, she had to put an end to them once and for all. Hence the call to her mother earth for her deliverance.

@ Shabhari you had mentioned how Sita was a free soul. The free soul did the AP in Lanka as she had been captured against her will and awaited release by her Raghunandhan.
The sending her to the forest when she was pregnant with his child was Rams. He does not reveal his intent and lies to her to go seek the blessings of Rishis. The banishment with the adoption of deceit(half truth is a lie too) has really shaken her yet she has surrendered to Ram's choice and endures it. When the AP is suggested a second time, it could have shaken the basis of the trust that was the cornerstone to their relationship which is why she concludes, enough is enough her boys no longer required maternal care and with the father and his clan ready to dote on them she feels her mission being accomplished she does not need to endure any more suffering and chooses to return to mother Earth who had yielded her and offered her under the hoe of Janak.

Maybe this role of Ram is the blemish referred by Vasisht.

Another wonderful episode. SKR CVs didnt disappoint me. They showed the breaking of Siya's trust beautifully and precap uff I loved it. Kul ki raksha ke liye Sita ka parityaag. If Sita destroys herself with that ends the prestigious raghukul😃.

Waiting to see how sita reacts to the situation. Hope she understands and not lose her trust on her Ragunandhan. I am glad Cvs are showing this version where sita did not take her own decision going to vanvass. Knowing Sita she would have tried again to give agnipariksha and tried explaining it to the public.

I didn't cry on Friday. But today I cried. I cried for Ram and I cried for Sita. Especially where Sita tells Lakshman is joking and where Ram breaks down telling he has broken her trust. He will not be able to make her understand he had no choice. Both Ashish and Madirakshi nailed it.

Coming to the episode. Beautiful parallel of Shanta and Kaikeyi. Ram tells in Sita he sees the reflection of Kaikeyi. Today we see the path crossing of Dasrath-Kaikeyi and Ram-Siya. Let us see the journey of parityaag of Kaikeyi by Dasrath. Kaikeyi loved Dasrath and she believed Dasrath also loved her. Dasrath if you see had fallen for Kaikeyi's beauty and more than love he had lust or moh for her. Also he was in need of another queen who can give him a heir to the throne. So to satisfy his lust he promises Kaikeyi's father the child born to Kaikeyi will be the king. Kaikeyi doesn't know about this deal. She goes on servicing her husband as a good wife. She goes to battle unlike other queens. A very tough woman. And in a battle she saves the king's life for which she gets 2 boons. Now Kaikeyi never asks these boons as she is very much satisfied as a wife. Now she comes to know about the deal. She questions Dasrath. What does she get. Insult. Ego of a man who questions her feminity and who berates her contribution of carrying a baby nine months in her womb. She is hurt. The loving wife moves into a volcano. She trains her son to be equivalent to the father's pet son so that he can rule the kingdom. Truth of what has happened between his parents is unknown to young Bharath when he is packed away to Kekaya.

And when the coronation of Ram is announced, Kaikeyi turns Kali demands her boons which sends Ram to exile and Dasrath to death. And she herself is sacrificed by both Dasrath and Bharath. Reason is Bharath doesn't know why his mother did what she did. Kaikeyi's problem was her Mahatwakamsha which wanted the throne. But even after the sacrifice Kaikeyi lives in the palace as other queens accommodate her. So Kaikeyi lives in the palace as a condemned woman and she remains a condemned woman though the mistake was both Dasrath and Kaikeyi's in the coronation mess.

Now let us go to Ram-Siya. They have feelings for one another before the Swayamavar. He feels for her and she feels for him hearing about each other. But what differentiates Ram from Dasrath is the fact that he doesn't take any shortcut to get his love. He goes the proper way. He satisfies the condition set by Siya's father for her Swayamvar and marries her as his love and Dharmapatni in front of the society. Now like Kaikeyi, Siya too follows her husband for his vanvass where she is abducted. Now when she is back in Ayodhya question on her chastity is raised. Now abduction of Sita was not just Sita's mistake it was the mistake of Ram-Siya and Lakshman. Lakshman in his emotional outburst cutting the nose of Surpi, Ram not listening to the warning of Lakshman and going behind golden deer and of course Sita's love for golden deer. But as expected the hypocrite society decide to punish Sita only. Only she is questioned while the mess is created by all 3. For the first time Ram hides his intention from Siya when he sends her away with Lakshman. Now why Lakshman. Because when Ram sends away Sita as he rightly says he is sending away his life, his identity and his happiness with her. So in that decision Ram is emotionally dead. That decision has killed him. There is no life left in him to tell the truth to his wife. Rajaram is only a machine, not a man. Who is the 3rd party responsible for the mess. Lakshman. Now since Ram is emotionally dead, Sita will emotionally die hearing the news Lakshman cannot escape. He also has to be emotionally dead. What better way to kill him than asking him to tell his loving Bhabi that his bhaiyya has sacrificed her . Lakshman does it. With each word killing himself. Also regretting if he had controlled his emotions with respect to Surpi his bhabi wouldn't have faced this.

Now comes Sita. Sita is having only one bandhan. That is the bandhan of love she chose to abide by with Ram. When she hears Ram has sacrificed her she becomes the unbridled Prakriti as she no longer has bandhan. And she reacts, reacts the harshest way by deciding to destroy herself as she cannot live as an impure woman. And I want to see who comes there to remind her that she still has the bandhan. The symbol of their love is in her womb. She cannot go. She has a duty towards the child in the womb. As a wife she has to give the child to the husband. As Lakshman clearly says it is not her husband who has sacrificed her but the king. So since the husband has not sacrificed her, she cannot shy away from Patnidharma which of course is giving birth to the child and raising him her.

Now where does Sita wins. She doesn't ask her rights. But her sons question Ayodhya after learning Ramayan. Just like Bharath, Luv-Kush also doesn't know what happened between their parents. But unlike Bharath who stood with his father and brother, Luv-Kush stands with their mother.

Now where does Shanta fits in the whole mess. When she went, it was a private pain of Kausalya. She was not supposed to show it. Even Kaikeyi and Sumitra were not much affected and they supported Dasrath asking Kausalya to understand Dasrath as they too got sons. Kausalya sat with the golden statue of baby Shanta. Ayodhya didn't care. Only mistake of Shanta for what she got was the fact that she was a girl.

Now Sita is also a woman. What changes here. It becomes the pain of palace slowly becoming the pain of Ayodhya. Why. By eating the food that he ate for Vanvass which Sita has taught the palace cooks and by keeping the golden statue of Sita in public Ram wears his heart on the sleeve, reminding everyone each time by taking away his wife they have killed him.

The fact that Sita survives her suicidal tendency to give birth to the child gives Ram the opportunity to show her that he still values her. Slowly but steadily that trust he gains from her by remaining true to the vachan he gave her.

Sita doesn't go, she had to be sent away, she doesn't ask her rights, her sons ask on her behalf. Without doing anything, she does everything. Establishes her identity, her purity and the trust her husband had kept on her before surrendering herself to mother earth.

Another interesting thing I saw today was the flower Sita kept in Ram's door. It was white signifying the purity of their love for each other.

@divine_ram Sita going was the creation of Patriarchal society as they expect woman to understand situation and then do doormat service. In Valmiki Ramayan it was Ram sending her away
