In the last few episodes Bhadra has emerged more as a vengeful father than a moralistic narrow minded bigot. It is as if in his pursuit of getting justice for his daughter he does not care whom he destroys. One more thing he becomes the mirror that reflects the sordidness of the praja's thoughts for both Sita and Ram. Isn't there is a saying that truth is merely a whisper while lies {and that too based on incorrect data} are a loud voice that can be heard with more clarity? Ram and Sita's love is completely overlooked among the smallness of the people's minds.
One more thing that came to my mind when I was watching the scene between Ram and Sita, was that even though she did not directly come out and say it, I had a feeling that she had some how came to know of his dilemma and in her own way was giving him her acceptance for his decision as well as absolving him of any feeling of guilt...Because she had the same calmness and strength as in her choice to undergo agni pareeksha.
But then I could be completely off the mark and the CVs are not that subtle.😉...

Lovely analysis as always.
Perception varies based on ones life experiences. There is a dilemma that goes on constantly.the inner voice seeks a validation for society. The cacophony rises and an eerie silence settles. The silence is unsettling to Ram. He is ready to abandon power for holding on to his love. He is desperate to hear from atleast one source that he is right...yet it is the need to do the right thing that prevails. To do the right thing in the eyes of the world one has to make compromises. One has to live a selfless Martyr ...now begins the Pariksha...the atma vichara for all living in Ayodhya... Sita decimated Sahastaraavan...yet the world is clueless about it...Sita becomes the cynosure of him that found her and doted on and by him that lost her...while Kaikeyi and her family extorted what was promised paving way for self Destruction the dhobi from his stainpoint wants vindication.and that too at any cost...by Sita surrendering to abide by any choice Ram makes is in a symbolic of trust respect love and compassion...we see Krodh in the tainted perception of Mandira Kaikeyi dhobi Surpanaka and kaikasi..we see a calmness in Sita that seems remarkable.the inner turmoil was very beautifully depicted

Shrutha it is like dahi handi scenario. Ram was the one who had to hit the dahi handi and so he had to have strong belief in his people / friends who were becoming the human ladder for him to reach the top by bearing the pain and stress and hot Sun. But that was the same case with those people to trust him whole heartedly. They can still be his support system even though they have some doubts about his success / intentions. But it is important for the one who is climbing on their shoulder to make them have trust in him that eh is one among them and will win break the handi for them or say for their group. Unless he does that, just imagine if one out of the many who were supporting him by shouldering the pain succumb and gave away?. That person will be blamed for some time but the more damage will be to the leader or the one who was on top as his fall is from a height which can disable him or kill him at times.

So it is the responsibility of Ram to create that trust in his praja that no matter what, he is with them as one among them. And no one should feel hesitation to reach him.

A very very apt analysis Shruti !
Indeed the Team SKR have done a fabulous job !
Loved each scene . The most delicate situation handled by Ram wrt to his beloved Wife .
Yes , perceptions needed to be changed for sure . This calls for the supreme sacrifice on the part of the king and Queen of the day .
Liked the way the mothers though understood the ways of the society were also cleari in their expression of the helplessness of women in society then ( more particularly in Ayodhaya!).
The problem lay on the onlookers eye or mind and that was the difficulty then .
Ram was right when he tells his brothers about how it was not simple to go about convincing each of the praja about Sita's purity . It calls for a greater conviction of the mind of each that needs to come up from within and with the help of faith .
Now this faith is buildup by oneself based on the knowledge of oneself and the object / person of faith . That knowledge seemed to quite lacking in Ayodhya 's society . Women never given their due place in society as equal partners but only treated them as facilitators for the functioning of the society as required either by the husbands or fathers .
Now this perception has to change and their regard for women hood has to be raised to be equal partners in the society who need to be respected and regarded for their roles played in the society .
Raja Ram will sure by his sacrifice show the praja by going their way and ending up establishing his faith on sita with the Golden statue !
Sure that was the master stroke !
And would for sure love the day when Luv And Kush would come and question the Praja of Ayodhya about the injustice rendered to their mother and Themselves !

By the way , it seems very sad that from the days of sita to Nirbhaya, it is only after a very harsh awakening does the slumber of the society is shaken !

I almost gave the Friday episode a miss as it was somehow going the clueless Sita way...but could not really manage to do it. But what a phenomenal episode! I realized that this Ram could not have looked in his Sita's face and told her of his decision to abandon her .Not because of cowardice but he could not have lied to her that he was giving her up because of his inability to counter the praja's doubts. If we connect it to his soliloquy at the bank of the river, when he tells Sita{in his imagination, of course}that they were doubting hers and his love for each other. He would have realized that it was much more than their distrust, it was a questioning his very judgement or even his character. He could not have done anything different to convince the ignorant people then, so he waited for the right time and thus the golden statue. check mate.👏.
But what we have to understand is that his stance suited his times. When he came as Krishna, though his tone and his methods were more in tune with that yug, but his basic principles and lessons to mankind was the same. Our society smartly overlooked the principles in the lords' actions and just followed what enhanced their ego and not their wisdom.
One significant point that comes across is that whenever a woman's basic choice is taken away from her,He stands with her to fight the society. As Ram he uses different methods, for Ahalya he uses the weapon of acceptance to restore her dignity, for shoorpanaka, he gives her the platform to take her revenge for what she considers her humiliation and for Sita he frees her to bring up her kids with dignity and courage.
As Krishna he elopes with Rukmini when her right to choose is curtailed and with Draupadi,he not only prevents her disrobing but also gives her the space for her getting her justice.
We have to understand that maryada for a woman is the same as for a man .These are the basic tenets that form the corner stones of a flourishing society. It is not in blindly following the trumped up tradition that is favorable to only one section of the society and curtailing the basic right of the rest in the name of 'kul' ,'praja hith'and maryada...{just used Ram's words from today😉}.

The cloth gets tangled and untangled, a canny impression of the situation. Sita, as pure as white, is being accused of infidelity. What is cloth made up of? Cotton, which is pure white. The cloth is only colored with gossip and speculations when others dye it. Even if it is meant to be white, some people still add borders of colors of all types. It can not escape its fate. When do people stop coloring the cloth? When they get another victim to trap in their own choices. And that is Ram. Many people blame Ram today, mostly extreme feminists, but to their dismay, they are doing exactly what he wanted. He made way for Sita to escape and bore the brunt. Humans are like that, when we get a new toy, we forget the old. But, when people can not let go, then they remember. If they have an old connection with it, it stays. And for the Dhobhi, Sita is just that. But, when he finally lets go, Sita's stain disappears, along with Sita herself. The cloth's color fades and gets torn, only to go into the trash and disappear.

Why Lakshman? Why does Lakshman have to take Sita to the forest. Well, the Earth revolves around the Sun, but what held it up. A belief of our religion is that the Earth is held up by Adisesha, who is also held up by Kurma, the tortoise incarnation of Vishnu. The tortoise supports when cooperation occurs, for wisdom is needed to coexist with others. But, when fighting occurs, it steps back, and everything falls. Ram supported his people when they cooperated, and that to with Dharma. And Lakshman and Sita stayed with him. But, when the praja started to stray, he drew back, relinquishing Sita along with the people that depend on her to live. Lakshman is left to support Sita while supporting himself without his brother to guide him. But, he will succeed. Why? Because his brother's orders stay with him as support. And when Sita is left alone, Ram's orders and love support her as well. Where does this come from? The Sun's gravity, or Ram without bonds. That form of Ram supports Sita when the King lets go. And Sita survives.

The theme of the episode is imperfection. Ram is not perfect, but when he is bound by Sanskriti, he is. To survive ideally, a balance between Sanskriti and Prakriti is necessary. And Sita has that. And a sign of that is that no matter what situation she is in, she is always content. Because she is never half filled, she is always fully filled. When Ram sulks, she prays hopefully. When Ram abandons, she accepts. Everything done with a smile. When in the forest or palace, she never forgot her duties. But, she never forgot humanity as well. Throughout our lives, we suffer because we are trying to complete ourselves. But, even after marrying, it is not necessary that this happens. When we include our partner in our spiritual and mental domain, then we are complete. Life is there when the earth and sky are both there. Without one, the other is useless. They make life and life makes them.

@savithi Di beautiful analysis especially why ram didn't tell siya directly.
And ayodha was a society just like u described seemingly perfect but at the cost of people like shanta and Kali yug is just like that but there is no ram to deliver justice yet.
As ram he liberated ahilya, for shoorpanakha her rightful place was shown to her and he vindicated his siya forever.

Gowri Di welcome back 😆

Beautifully analyzed Savitha. Yes you are right. Whenever a woman who has the conviction, purity and dharma with her and the society takes away her right, when she questions whether she doesnt have the right Lord comes.
Sita didnt had to question, Ram knew , Draupadi had to question, Krishna had to come for Pandavas to open the eyes. In Kaliyug a woman has to act, she has to be Kali for a man to see if he doesnt stop her it is destruction all round. Keeping quiet and questioning wont work here. Make your mark.

Also yesterday epi it was beautiful and believe me it is Hari's Maya all the way. What a screenplay by SKR team. Couldnt post analysis yesterday because I needed time as it needed lot of connections from beginning. Posting soon
