The cloth gets tangled and untangled, a canny impression of the situation. Sita, as pure as white, is being accused of infidelity. What is cloth made up of? Cotton, which is pure white. The cloth is only colored with gossip and speculations when others dye it. Even if it is meant to be white, some people still add borders of colors of all types. It can not escape its fate. When do people stop coloring the cloth? When they get another victim to trap in their own choices. And that is Ram. Many people blame Ram today, mostly extreme feminists, but to their dismay, they are doing exactly what he wanted. He made way for Sita to escape and bore the brunt. Humans are like that, when we get a new toy, we forget the old. But, when people can not let go, then they remember. If they have an old connection with it, it stays. And for the Dhobhi, Sita is just that. But, when he finally lets go, Sita's stain disappears, along with Sita herself. The cloth's color fades and gets torn, only to go into the trash and disappear.
Why Lakshman? Why does Lakshman have to take Sita to the forest. Well, the Earth revolves around the Sun, but what held it up. A belief of our religion is that the Earth is held up by Adisesha, who is also held up by Kurma, the tortoise incarnation of Vishnu. The tortoise supports when cooperation occurs, for wisdom is needed to coexist with others. But, when fighting occurs, it steps back, and everything falls. Ram supported his people when they cooperated, and that to with Dharma. And Lakshman and Sita stayed with him. But, when the praja started to stray, he drew back, relinquishing Sita along with the people that depend on her to live. Lakshman is left to support Sita while supporting himself without his brother to guide him. But, he will succeed. Why? Because his brother's orders stay with him as support. And when Sita is left alone, Ram's orders and love support her as well. Where does this come from? The Sun's gravity, or Ram without bonds. That form of Ram supports Sita when the King lets go. And Sita survives.
The theme of the episode is imperfection. Ram is not perfect, but when he is bound by Sanskriti, he is. To survive ideally, a balance between Sanskriti and Prakriti is necessary. And Sita has that. And a sign of that is that no matter what situation she is in, she is always content. Because she is never half filled, she is always fully filled. When Ram sulks, she prays hopefully. When Ram abandons, she accepts. Everything done with a smile. When in the forest or palace, she never forgot her duties. But, she never forgot humanity as well. Throughout our lives, we suffer because we are trying to complete ourselves. But, even after marrying, it is not necessary that this happens. When we include our partner in our spiritual and mental domain, then we are complete. Life is there when the earth and sky are both there. Without one, the other is useless. They make life and life makes them.
