@DD beautiful analysis. I also agree to your hard path. Fighting within the system is not easy. It's hard, but that is the ultimate winner. Coming to EHT, I only said about it as I took only shows. Coming to movies Drisyam was superlative with respect to perceptions and I keep the movie " A Wednesday " in the same league.

So I loved today's episode in every sense. It answered another of my pertinent question about Ramayana. When Dhobhi questioned Sita's purity it was not Sita he was questioning, but the decision of Ram to take her back. Then why in the world Sita had to suffer. Again we come back to the same point. Proof. Visual proof. Note the key point today. This will give the difference between Shatrughna and Ram. I had mentioned in those episode itself that if Ram had been the king he would have looked at the issue different way. He would have handled it different way. And Ram proved me right today.

What does Shatrughna do. When he hears the story of the father and daughter he asks the rules, but doesn't make effort to verify what the girl said is true. Dhobi on his part also doesn't bring any proof of his daughter being chaste. They just went with the rule book.

What does Ram do. He hears both side out. He asks the secret agent to verify whether the woman is speaking truth. The secret agent verifies the truth of the woman. Then Ram passes the judgement. The accused has to get a chance to prove themselves and with evidence their claim has to be validated. If the poor praja is unable to do it, then the state has to provide that facility which unfortunately Shatrughna doesn't provide. It is same as giving a defense lawyer by the court for a criminal. Every criminal gets one.

Now this dhobi irrespective of having evidence is unwilling to change perception. Because he is a hypocrite, egoist and love to see the dirt in everyone. He cleans the cloths that has dirt, but his mind is completely dirty

Now the question before Ram is how he will prove his decision of taking back Sita right. How he will prove the purity of their love and purity of his better half. How will he give justice not only to Sita, but to their love also. He has to give visual proof to the idiots like dhobi who claims to be all knowledgeable but knows nothing and creates havoc in other's life.

Once again Ashish sealed the confusion of the king and the husband. The husband who doesn't want any proof and the king who is forced to give proof.

Sita had to take the hard path because of not giving AP in Ayodhya. That's why Krishna establishes Panchali's purity in the infamous hall of dice itself so that she doesn't need to give AP.

Now we are back to the justice the woman of Ayodhya was asking. A land which talks about maryada whose daughters are send to seduce a rishi so that the kingdom can have male heir. Now the dirt of Ayodhya is out in the open. And one lady will cleanse the dirt once and for all with her supreme sacrifice, thus not only giving justice to herself, but also to the love she shared with her husband.

@DD EHT was superlative that is why it shutdown in 8 months 😆😆😆. You need some brain to understand perceptions 😆😆

@ Shruthi, Sorry if I hamper your thoughts about the justice given by Ram & Shathrugan. In case of Dhobhi's daughter, she had stayed a night with an unknown person in an unknown place in a stormy night and on the day fall she had returned back and she could not give any proof and neither her father in that case and might be even the Ayodhya spy as that was an unique case. there both the father & daughter accepted that the girl had spent a night alone with a man but nothing uncalled happened between them. So Shathrugan had to go with the existing law but since he his heart was with the girl's innocence & her father's helplessness, he arranged for a security to the girl during her stay in the forest.

But the case now in front of Ram is that the lady in question left her house without her husband's consent to meet her ailing mother but comes back from half way as she feels it was wrong of her to leave the house without her husband's approval. So what will the husband think? the wife left his house to meet her sick mother but never reached there and comes back saying she changed her mind half way through. So he used that situation to corner the Law of Ayodhya and the king of Ayodya and not Ram or Sita. the law made an helpless father to send his daughter to forest and god knows whether she returned back after 2 years or succumb to the wilderness. Even if she returned, whether she could get married or accepted by the society. So the society and the royal family which was responsible for his daughter's pain makes him vengenceful and he feels he and his daughter were cheated just because they were poor or mere praja while Sita got accepted because she was princess and married a prince. If Agni pariksha could prove the chastity of a woman, (sorry to say this) he feels even his daughter would have passed it had she been asked to give one!!!!!!!!!!

Ram asking for proof from his spy and his spy vouching the woman's claim, I would like to give this credit to Shathrugan as he would have appointed some men to keep an eye on lone people venturing out for some reasons though may not be to keep tab of their activity but to give them necessary help in case of eventuality as he doesn't want any such cases come in front his court (Dhobhi's daughter's) since he was restless after giving his verdict.

Even now, I am not 100% convinced that the Dobhi has any issue with his wife. I still suspect he is plotting this to gain Ram's attention to his daughter's case. So if Ram retains his wife with him even after his vengeful words, he can bring up his daughter's case and get her justice or otherwise it would be a sadistic satisfaction that the ones who sent his daughter to forest will undergo the same pain he went through for his daughter.
