Shruti Di today your analysis! it's so beautiful... Its easy to find symbolisms in scenes with dialogues , but to find symbolisms in romantic scenes , only u could do...

It's always what's inside us is reflected in our environment... We think or see what we want to see... it's our choice to see stuffs positively or see the negativity in the events.. And this the rule of environment or Prakriti...
but the rules of society, made by human beings may twist the rules of Prakriti, for good or for bad ...

Sita's knowledge is limited to Prakriti. How much she trusts the praja. She knows if she wants to see positivity she needs to be positive from within , but she forgets that whole world is not positive from within, whole world is not "Ram"
And dats what happens, they fail her, they fail their queen by questioning her purity. Thus the concept of inner happiness manifesting as outer happiness, the rule of Prakriti is twisted by the rigidity of society... infact it's manifested in a opposite way, the negativity inside them shows up..

That's where Ram, who understands both Prakriti nd Sanskriti need to take charge in a way that both are not hurt.
And how he does that, we all know..

Another thing which struck me was the coexistence of Prakriti nd Sanskriti. No one is superior both r equal. Even Prakriti(Sita) protects Sanskriti(Ram) like in S Ravan case nd even Sanskriti protects Prakriti like in Ravan case, the real Ravan nd the Ravan in the minds of Ayodhya vasis.

Coming to moon. I am borrowing Charvi's theory here... Dhobi said the full moon's blemishes can be seen better. The same moon which is cherished by many lovers as sign of love (purest feeling) is called blemished by others.. As we see , what we choose to see.
So it's the sun who protects moon from the evil eyes, those who can't see her purity. It hides it under its protective rays and finally when those evil eyes sleep, in the night, the moon is set free. And only those who can admire it's real beauty can see it. That's how Ram(sun) hides Sita(moon) from the evil eyes and sets her free for those who can see her real beauty. They r not seen together physically but still are together...

shruti lovely post and agree about perception.👏👏 It is perception that makes us see things good or bad. But as well as perception it is also about having faith in your king and queen.

Ram in his speech said that he will always put people of his kingdom first. But people of Ayodhya used that as a power and separated sira. Instead of listening to one Dhobi, they should have had faith in their king and queen and supported them.

Coming to sira, I felt that no matter what happens sira will be there for each other even if they are not together. Siya is mother nature and even if she is far from ram, she is always near him to provide support. She is the air around ram making him feel her presence and no one can take that away.

@Sruthi di Lovely analysis, di! Like you have said earlier, it is necessary to unlearn things to see it from a new perspective. Like that, Ram is removing the jewelry that defines the queen, and is showing the new perception- the pure wife. And, happy Onam, di!

@Aditi di I am younger than you, di, don't say that! I have learned a lot from you as well. Thank you for posting the analysis, and you are right! Sita believed everyone, she was familiar with the loving Prakriti, not the rigid one. And Ayodhya broke her perception, making the innocent Sita into the mature and courageous Sita. And the mon one, hats off! True, Ram is giving her protection and name, the last phase of her life is what made her the woman we know today. Perceptions, so complicated!

@Sanju Want to see you here soon, dear! Good luck for your exams, chakde phate!

Welcome, Raji di and Rakhi di!

The meeting of the Earth and fire, that many people view as unfair. But, this unfair act occurs almost every day in nature. In the form of forest fires. When a forest is burned, ignited by the Sun's heat, everything is destroyed. Ash and black is seen everywhere. But from this very ash, the soil is made more fertile, for the minerals from the destroyed trees is still present, and very soon, the forest is as lush as ever. Because of the fire, the impurities and the diseased trees are removed and the trees are more bright and lush. Like that, the plants that are growing on the field of society are growing diseased. They have been taking in the nutrients that the soil provide, or here, the ideas. If we burn the society, inevitably, the trees and plants will burn down too. If Sita, the queen of Ayodhya, is subjected to the trial, then the women will be subject to one too. A trial of the mind and soul, though. And from the remnants of Sita, a new society and a new legacy are made. New trees have grown, but one forest fire isn't enough. It is time for one more.

Sita and Ram meet by the seashore, reflecting on all of the sadness and happiness they have seen in life. The ocean is a perfect reflection of life. There are disturbances in the otherwise calm ocean. There are highs, there are lows, all in the same life. But, does the water really move? No, the water stays relatively in the same place. Only the particles vibrate, causing the water in general to move too. Life is a stationary entity, as well as the body. Only when life is placed in the body does it start to function. It is provided a means to move by people, and throughout life, people are moved by people. Ram and Sita wouldn't be there without Kaushalya-Dashrath or Janak-Sunaina. Their lives would be incomplete without Lanka, Ayodhya, and Kishkindha. And our lives would be incomplete without Them.

The theme of this episode is perceptions. Sita wants to get rid of the people's perceptions about her, and in the process makes her own perceptions, that the Agnipariksha is the only way. Everyone perceives that Sita doesn't need to do the Agnipariksha, but that isn't the case. And Sita perceives that the praja will trust her and welcome her with open arms, but that isn't true either. What is common with all of these? One, that they weren't true and two that they were perceptions. Perceptions are like premature babies, they are weak and do not have the strength to live in the harsh world. You need to keep them in the womb until they grow as per needed and are supported by facts.

Sita is pregnant, and the celebrations are ongoing. In the midst appears Maharaj Janak. Along with giving his wishes, he is there to take Sita with him to Mithila, so that her children can be born there. Why is there such a ritual? Why does the children take birth in a place that they will not call home? If the bow is a representation of a wife's and husband's relationship with each other, then what would the child be? An arrow, that stems from both and is connected to both. An arrow is first drawn back with the bowstring, still touching the frame, and then is released. So, the child goes back to its mother's rots, gains the flexibility and momentum from her and her family. When it is ready, it passes through the frame, and gains its rigidness and stability. From there, it passes on, taking the clan's and parent's name forward. But, why doesn't Lav and Kush take birth in Janak's palace? Well, who is the real mother of Sita? The Earth. So, the kids are born at Sita's Maayka, the forest that Sita considers home. And both the bow frame and bowstring are made up of materials that come from the Earth and the Earth has all the characteristics given by the father's and mother's side, so they get a complete upbringing.

Hanuman, a celibate, is smeared with sindoor, a sign of marriage? What is the significance of this. Hanuman is an avatar of Shiva, who is a combination of both a recluse and a householder. He is married, but is detached from the world. And this is the definition of a yogi. One who is attached yet detached from the world. Hanuman is attached to the world by duties and is detached due to bhakti for Ram. Shiva is physically a recluse, but internally, he is a father who does the Tandav to create the means to create a new beginning. Vishnu is physically a householder, with the world as his house, but is internally a recluse who is in a constant state of meditation. When needed, these roles are switched, and when Vishnu is in Yoganidra, Shiva takes care of the world. Eve
