Look at the remarkable screenplay. Where does the story start. Sanskriti treating itself supreme. The king Dasrath and his desire to have a male heir for the throne. One man and his Moh for a boy. For that he marries thrice. He even makes a deal to the father of one of the queen that the child born to her if it is male will become the king. The crown Queen of Ayodhya Kausalya is subjected to emotional agnipareeksha day in day out as the king treats her secondary over queen Kaikeyi. When his marriage doesn't work to give male heir he goes to the next step of abusing Prakriti. Send the daughters of Ayodhya to seduce a rishi. A king who is supposed to protect his praja sends away women of his land to their death. And well we have to say he shows equality there. As he sends his own daughter also the same path. What do you call a father who sends his daughter to seduce a man so that he can have a male heir. His desire to have a boy outweighs his maryada as a father.
Now this king gets 4 sons and the second queen Kaikeyi asks him has he given a vachan to her father her child will be the king. This man shows arrogance to the lady. To the woman who carried the child for 9 months in her womb he tells he has 4 sons because of him only and she didn't do anything.
Prakriti denied justice cries and decides to take action on her own. She shows her Mahakali roop to Raja Dasrath which snuffs the life out of him when none of his so called male heirs are there. Kaikeyi serves the punishment to king Dasrath through Ram. Thus giving partial justice to many. We go for ek to anek in the death of Dasrath. Prakriti rules supreme. She takes down the symbol of the sanskriti that thought it can get away abusing Prakriti brutally. King Dasrath has a very painful death at the feets of his crown queen Kausalya.
But what goes wrong is that when Prakriti took Kali roop she is blamed. Her Mahatwakamsha is blamed and the king becomes the victim. So the entire blame rests on Kaikeyi or rather the perception is that Kaikeyi is the root of the problem. But in reality both Kaikeyi and Dasrath were responsible. And during vanvass only the symbol of Sanskriti is taken down, while the power of Sanskriti that is represented by Dasrath is still active in Ayodhya in the form of the rules of governance
Now comes the girl. Representative of Prakriti, who suffers at the hands of power of this sanskriti. We have to see ek or it is the one girl who suffers. But what turns the table here is, though the Prakriti suffers, the representative of Sanskriti her father is unwilling to accept what has happened to his daughter. He is not ready to accept his daughter is characterless. In Dasrath's case it was Prakriti standing against Sanskriti, where Prakriti got blamed. But now it is Sanskriti standing against Sanskriti. This is the real game. Now the king has got a wife who has stayed at another man's place. Or rather the queen of Ayodhya as per the rule book of Dasrath Sanskriti is characterless and deserves punishment. This man whose daughter suffered raises the question. And this ek, sends the queen who is pregnant for her second vanvass.
For the king who was ek Praja suffered when Dasrath was there. Now for ek Praja the king will suffer. But what is beautiful here is that the king sends away the queen. But in front of everyone he keeps her golden statue telling she is his wife for him her character is pure and no Praja has any right to tell him her place as his wife should be replaced by anyone. When golden Sita is kept, Ram tells Ayodhya or ek tells Anek the value of his wife, her purity is that of 24 carat gold.
And this attack on Sanskriti doesn't stop. Luv Kush comes and asks why Ayodhya banished the woman who did AP. Ayodhya has no answer. Finally Ayodhya asks Lakshmi of Ayodhya, Sita of Ayodhya to come back. And Sita she gives the most harsh reply to the anek, who doubted her, who treated the Prakriti secondary to Sanskriti by chosing Prakriti over Sanskriti. When Prakriti takes Sita, proving her chastity, Sanskriti is unable to do anything. Sanskriti changes. Perception changes, thought process changes. It started with ek and it will end with ek. Only thing is that it started with the selfishness of Sanskriti and it will end with the freewill of Prakriti.
Dasrath put blame on Kaikeyi by becoming a victim and Ram vindicates Sita creating the perception of victimhood for her.
