Congrats to everyone for the new thread. Today for the first time Meghnadh showed an utter lack of respect for a woman{his 'ek stree' still rankles} just like his father. What he does not get is that the person he has let down is not Sita {who did not plan this escape}but his own mother as well his wife who are indeed the two cornerstones of his life. So basically in following his father's dictates he has forsaken the right counsel {represented by Sulo}and the right actions{represented by Mandodri's upbringing}.Today I realized why he had to die at the hands of Lakshman...but like any soldier's wife it is ultimately the women of Lanka who would, to a large extent, pay the price for his blind fidelity to his father.

Janhavi Ravan's comment about 'for whom this maze was created' refers to Shoorpanaka and not Sita as it was indeed created to keep her out than to keep Sita in.

I feel that the daily changing maze is a metaphor for our lives, if we let our ego{Ravan}dictate our actions{represented by Meghnadh} and disregard our inner voice {Sulochna} and our mind{Mandodri} and moreover keep our soul {Sita} imprisoned within ,then Ram{God} harnesses the energy {represented by Hanuman and other monkeys} to free our soul.

Shruthi yes it is Hari ki maya😉.I love the concept of maya as it is a set of illusions created by god but acts as our reality...what an absolutely delightful example of ambiguity!
