Guys wanted to share an experience of taking weekend classes for the students. I always take GK sessions. Don't think that I will go into Q&A mode, but I create a story plan with the subject in hand and then take GK. So this week I had taken the subject of Indian Literature. What surprised me most was though the students struggled to name the contemporary writers, stories they named all of Kalidasa's works. Not only naming works couple of them were explaining Meghasandesam and Raghuvamsham quite eloquently. This kids were not at all from privileged backgrounds and I asked them how do they know. They tell they read in the school library. It was really enriching to hear the youngsters mostly 12-15 years age talking about so confidently about the beautiful works written in India.

How would Ram have given kumbhakarn mukti if he wouldn't have fought? If he had folded hands then it would mean he wouldn't fight Ram.. after acknowledging Ram as God how can he fight? so without fight starting how would Ram be able to give mukti?

@Ria if he had folded hands it is between Vishnu and Vijaya. Vishnu also knows why Vijaya is folding hands, Vijaya also knows who he is folding too. But as per their present dharma he could have fought. As it is clear both the Lord and devotee have realized their truth. Folding hands would have been just a realization. Past is known.
In MB there is a scene where Bhishma folds his hands in front of Shikandi and calls her Devi Amba. I am happy you have come. As promised I keep my weapons.
Even at times enemies fold their hands to each other, accepting the talent of each other. That doesn't mean they wont fight.

Akamapana, the real reason behind Sita's abduction, dies by the joint effort of Hanuman and Lakshman. But, why can't only Lakshman kill him, and why does Hanuman have to intervene? Because Akamapana is the devotee of Kaal Bhairav, the ferocious form of Mahadev. Akamapana has misunderstood this form of Bhagwan Shiva, and has only implemented the ferociousness and ruthlessness in his life. But he has forgotten, that the reason Mahadev took on the roop was for Sati and his love for her. So, along with the epitome of love, Lakshman, Mahadev in his Hanuman avatar knocks some sense in Akampana and kills him with the same blow.

When he was dueling with Lakshman, Akamapan's bowstring breaks before he can shoot. What does this mean? A bow symbolizes the marital bond between a husband and wife. The string is the woman, who keeps the man together and acts as his support, and the man is the frame, who gives a new identity to the string. But, when Akamapana has insulted a woman and became the cause for her life-long grief, then why would it support him? So the string breaks away, rendering the bow useless and Akamapana weaponless.

The theme of this episode is distractions. Durmukh and the commander of the army try to distract Hanuman and Sugreev by insulting them. Ravan wants to kill Ram by using Durmukh and the commander as the bait to distract them from the real attack. This episode taught me that in life, there will be many distractions from many people. But, you need to have the insight to be able to recognize what the true intentions are. And that is what Vibhishan proves to be, and he and the warriors are able to save the day.

SIYA KE RAM: 1/8

Ab pachtaaye ho jab chidiya chug gayi khet 😆

Kaikasi now wants to mend what she spoiled years ago. What a futile attempt 👏 She gets brains after Kumbhakarn dies.

What doesn't change is their egos. Kaikasi wants to stop the war for the sake of avoiding destruction. But she herself isn't able to destroy what Ram is there to destroy. She's unable to conquer her anger, ego and conceit. She goes and announces her decision. What did she think Ravan to be? A milk drinking infant? Stupid Lady...

She's getting a bitter dose of her own values now. That's why it is said a parent is always responsible for the child's character. And see what kaikasi has made Ravan into. He sees only power, ego, revenge and greed. Great development!!!!!

He challenges that his mother is afraid. Now her ego is flared😆

Phir se aa dekhe zara who's more balwaan.

Mandodari's father is utilized well.

With time Sita has become more preachy. I hope cvs do smthn about this.

Even in the time of crisis Ram doesn't forget his father 👏

And there's no Brahman in Lanka except Ravan who knows tarpan. Bring it on 😈

Loved Sugreev's dialogue. ⭐️ you remember your ancestors even when u r in trouble 👏

This reminds me of kumbhadaan that took place on Saturday here. It takes place after kumbh mela of the place is over.
