Chapter 6-Rahul and Priya

Rahul was talking about the issues he is facing in clearing the 2 back papers. He was going emotional on how Aakash has destroyed his exams. He was emotional. Priya was feeling a little stifled on how to handle it. They were on the way back to college. As planned Rahul and Priya were together while Asha and Aakash had decided to travel separate.

" Rahul forget exams there are 2 more months to it. And it is not a big deal. Lab is a luck. Maybe you will get an easy one this time. Then drawing. Just ensure you don't screw up winding diagram and the mechanics part. Pass mark will come. Just concentrate on these two.

Rahul looked at Priya. When had she started talking Asha's language. Is she also with them now. Asha was the one who used to always tell him Rahul don't make the mechanical guys draw your drawing papers. Draw yourself. You will have problem in exams. If you do it

you will get pass marks. Asha always thought he will get only pass marks, while Aakash could top exams. Now Priya was telling get pass marks.

" Priya you only want me to get pass marks. You are also talking like Asha"

It was then Priya remembered. Asha had problems with drawing paper. But she was a practical girl. She just thought of clearing it and scored well in other papers so that her overall was quite fine. But for Rahul practicality seemed a far world

" Rahul I didn't mean anything like that. I just meant the 2 areas if done correctly can ensure you clear the paper and if you other parts well which of course you can you will get better marks "

" Rahul leave such things. Comon your birthday is coming. What are your plans "

" Birthday ya. Both of us go to the pastry shop and celebrate Priya" he told

" Rahul it is not good for the entire college to know the differences between you and Neha. Neha you consider your sister right. So how can your birthday be without her"

" But if I call her they two will also come. Aakash and Asha. I don't want anything to do with them"

" Rahul is it fair on Neha. If you truly consider her your sister then you also have to understand why she is friendly with Asha and loves Aakash. You need to know Asha is her childhood bestie. That is not a friendship of 1 or 2 years, they are friends for past 15 years."

" So what do you want me to do. Pretend I have no issue with Asha and Aakash, celebrate birthday combine with Asha"

" I am just asking you to call Neha and talk to her frankly on what she feels about you, what she feels about Asha and what she feels about Aakash. I just want you to listen to her. Then take a call whether you can do some give and take with Asha and Aakash for her sake "

" Will she tell the same thing to Aakash Priya to do some give and take for me " retorted Rahul

" Rahul how will you know unless you discuss with her. If you want to continue cold war with Aakash and Asha continue. But don't forget it is Neha who is getting affected "

Rahul mulled over Priya's suggestion. She had a point.

" Ok Priya I will talk to Neha. I will listen what she has to tell "

Priya thanked her stars. As soon as she reached hostel she will have to call and speak to Neha. Neha has to be clear on what she speaks to Rahul. One misstep everything gone.

Oh now neha is goin to have to manage her Bro. These men and their ego. Rahul needs Priya to tell him that in their fight neha is affected but still wants neha to choose him above every one else.. I guess am too biased but these 2 Aakash and Rahul are behaving really childish..

@Ria when I started the story itself I told it is minor issue, but we need to understand these minor issues always blow up into major ones😆😆. Coming to childish. What do you expect from 19-20 yr olds. Unless a major tragedy strikes them most are like Aakash only. Rahul is a special case

@shrutha yes Rahul is impractical. But sometimes we have to deal with impractical ones also 😆😆

Chapter 7- Coaching Neha" What" told Neha. " Priya now everything is on me. I don't know when Rahul will call me. Whatever I am going to say, I want to ensure I speak the right things this time. I want to discuss it with you both Priya. Asha will reach tonight only" As soon as she reached hostel Priya made the first call to Neha and told her everything. " Neha just do one thing. If he calls fake a bad cold and throat pain. Once Asha is back we both will come and stay at your place day after tomorrow as Wednesday we do not have any lab. So no records to complete " " Yes guys that will be better. Without discussing with you both I don't want to say or do anything."

As planned on Monday Neha walked in college faking a cold and throat pain. By Tuesday Asha and Priya were at her home. Aakash had insisted he will come too, but the girls firmly told him it is a girls business and he has no entry. Once the girls make Rahul agree for the talk, they will include him.

When he tried to persist and Neha was about to relent Asha literally shouted " Aakash we are trying to clear the mess. Don't make it messier". From the looks in Asha's eyes Aakash knew another minute she will lose her temper and blast him from the place.

Neha laughed when Aakash retreated. Asha had a way of dealing with him. Aakash never messed around with Asha.

Once they were back in Neha's place the girls got into a serious discussion. What to talk,what not to talk. Finally it was decided Neha will gently talk about how much she cares for Rahul, how much she feels herself lucky to have a brother like him and then nudge on the topic that Aakash is her soul mate. As they move forward in life she wants both of them. She cannot be in a situation where if she chooses her soulmate she will lose her brother and if she chooses her brother she will lose her soulmate.

She just wants him to accept the other relations in his life apart from him.

If he talks anything about being an elder brother, she would gently request him to discuss with Priya how her elder brother treats her. Then if he talks about his deceased younger sister she will gently tell Reshma was in 7th when she passed away. But she is a college student. Whatever a 7th std expects from her big brother is different from what a college student expects.

It was decided whatever Rahul tries Neha will never deviate from the points they have discussed. She needs to ensure Rahul agrees to speak to Aakash. After discussing with Priya and Asha, Neha felt confident.

Chapter 8- Neha and Rahul Neha was seated with Rahul in the pastry shop. They had ordered snacks and juice. Rahul had called her and she had requested whether he would take her to pastry shop. Rahul seemed quite happy with the request. So they were here.

Neha looked at Rahul. She was expecting he will bring the topic. But Rahul was nibbling the snack as such. So she decided to bring the topic

" Rahul this year we are celebrating yours and Asha's b'days together right"

" Neha if you want it that way we can celebrate" told Rahul

" Rahul it is not what I want, it is what you want. You are feeling uncomfortable talking to Asha and Aakash"

" Neha what should I feel. Aakash tells you are uncomfortable with the gifts I am giving. He tells I am having an affair with Priya. Asha endorses all that"

" Rahul have you tried to talk me about it. Did you ask me for once whether what Aakash tells is true. Did you try to understand once the pain Asha and Aakash took the whole 3rd semester tour to ensure nobody speaks ill of you and Priya. Why do you think Asha sat with you most time on the bus, or took duet selfies with you. Or asked a dedication song from you. For you it was irritating. But she was sending confusing signals to our batch so that they cannot be sure whether you are having an affair with Priya or Asha and they will treat everything as friendship.

Do you even know we all knew our results in the midst of the tour. Aakash had 82%, myself 78%, Asha and Priya both 74%. But we didn't celebrate because we knew you have 2 back papers. Do you even know we didn't want to spoil your tour so we withheld the information of our results also.

So if we can do all this for you, then if some suggestion comes from your friend don't you think you should talk to the concerned person first before jumping to conclusion" Neha was crying now

Rahul looked at her " So are you telling you are uncomfortable the way I behave with you. What is wrong Neha. I behave like a brother to a sister"

" Rahul understand I am not a child, I am of same age of yours just some months younger. I am an individual with lot of relation. My friend Asha, my love Aakash all are as important to me as you. My studies, my career I need all of that. You are also an important part of it, but not everything of it. I also want to be an important part of your life, not everything of your life. I want to you to have other priorities in life than just pampering me. Then gifts it is better it is made during occasions. Let the bro-sis bond me more open, more like friends where we can exchange our thought process freely"

" Neha so you are telling all mistake is mine" Rahul was getting impatient

" No Rahul. Aakash is also at fault. I have spoken to him also. Not only me Asha have blasted him for speaking to you during exams. He himself realizes he made that mistake. I just want you both to talk and patch up. I want you, I want him and I want both of you to have good relation. It is not going to be a short relation Rahul. It is going to be a long term relation. So earlier you both come together solving your MU it will be easier for me. It will be easier for Asha and Priya too"

Rahul thought. Neha was having an earnest request. What did he want. Her happiness only right. If it is in him and Aakash patching up so be it. " Ok Neha I will come. You fix up the date and time. I will discuss with Aakash"

Neha after months heaved a sigh of relief. She needs to call Asha, Priya and Aakash and that idiot has to be coached
