It's ok, it is better to ask than keep it in mind. Sometimes a single question changes the perspective of the situation

The CVs are just doing their job really well, and Sruthi di did her analysis beautifully too! So, now for my theme of the day section!

The theme of today's episode is delay. Let's take a look at the whole episode, and you'll see it clearly...

Ram and Lakshman both see the golden deer, and are amazed. Sita tells them that they have delayed a lot in treating it, so they have to act quickly. Ram goes to get the herbs, while Lakshman stays to protect his Bhabhi. Here, Ram and Lakshman delay in agreeing with Sita because they needed proof of the deer's existence. This scene represents how a human being should act in various situations. When we hear about something, we always believe it, never cross-checking to see if it is true or false. But, you should always take the time to find out the truth. Because, it is the Kali Yug yaar, anything can happen! 😆

In Kishkindha, Bali is making a plan to make Sugreev go far from the mountain, so Bali can kill him. Roma comes and pleads to her brother-in-law to spare her husband. He then says that he would delay killing Sugreev if Roma becomes his. Roma refuses becaue she knows her Dharm, staying loyal to her husband. Delay of killing Sugreev is the main part in this scene, and the price of it is Roma's loyalty. This is another place where Ram and Bali are different. Ram treats his sister-in-law, Urmila as his own sister, but Bali is treating her like his own toy. He doesn't even listen to his wife, Tara, because he is indulged in his own ego and pride. From this point, bali becomes like Ravan, not Ram.

In Lanka, Surpanakha is still waiting for some news of Sita's apaharan. Unable to bear the delay any longer, she is about to leave, but is stopped by her guards on the orders of her mother, Surpanakha tells Kaikesi that she may have given birth to her, but she can not control he, and Kaikesi replies that she knows very well how to control her, but her life is linked with the Asur Kul and lankesh, that is why she is not doing anything. Two things are shown here. The delay of the Sita haran is shown, and a very important point can be taken here. That destined things happen surely, but slowly. Medicine, after ingesting it, takes some time to show effect, but it gives us great relief from sicknesses. Like that, the Sita haran track is going slowly, but it will surely happen! And also, the difference between Mithila and Lanka. Mithila is a place where no one is bound in limits or controlled, they are free to ask questions and act the way they want(for the good!), but in Lanka, people are controlled and made to do what others want.

The lesson I learned from today's episode is that the haste makes waste. You should always slow down and think through a decision or anything before implementing it, Who knows, you may be saved from making a real big mistake. And to end of this post, here's a quote...

"Truth is always confirmed by delay and inspection, falsehood by haste and uncertainity." ~Tacitus

That's all for today. Please post more analyses guys, we need more!

Shruthi, the same thoughts were running in my mind at the leave taking scene. Here the 'anubhuti' is never spoken out aloud but it is felt by both. The pain and the poignancy of separation has already touched them both. It was their moment of saying goodbye. But as the protector of the world he has to go and she has to support him.Their conversations emphasized the higher value placed on their duty over any personal feelings.A beautiful scene, wasn't it?
In Ramayan and Mahabharat the word 'Dharm'is used to denote duty and fulfilling one's responsibilities with dedication. It refers to one following a righteous path. Now in the modern era we use it as a something confining to a particular religion. So much of the hatred and prejudice in the world arises due to this our superficial interpretation of the word.If we as a society understand our Gods and their teachings and concentrate on following the basic tenets ,then our world would be transformed into a beautiful place.
As for kishkinda it seems to be the prelude to the Lanka incidents or even a mirror.

@Savita di Yes, parents always place their children before themselves. So, why wouldn't the Mother and Father of the Universe prioritize us before themselves? 😊

Also, I like the way that Siya ke Ram is portraying the Sita haran so far. The original states that Sita wanted the skin of the golden deer, so Ram went to hunt it. But, why would the compassionate Sita want to kill a deer, just for the sake of her pleasure? This has always troubled me, so the Siya ke Ram way, Sita wanting to treat the injured golden deer, makes a lot more sense. What do you think?

Gowri, I have read in the translations that Sita asks for the golden deer not its skin. Even with that aspect It is not easy to equate it with the traits in her character unless one considers it as a deliberate act. Moreover in Ramayan before agni pareeksha Ram tells Lakshman that Ravan could not have touched Sita ,so in order to felicitate the path leading to his destruction and the completion of Ram's mission, Sita takes refuge with Fire god and leaves behind her shadow, whom Ravan kidnaps. So basically the golden deer incident is Hari and Lakshmi's maya. Hope it answers your query.
But I am loving the way it is shown in SKR. It appeals to my logic.
I read your posts daily and enjoy them a lot.

Yes, it does answer my question. The Lord and Maa Sita can do everything for us! Thanks, Savita di!

@Gowri Ramayan over centuries have been twisted to suit the patriarichy. The question arises in us is because we see character inconsistency. The " why" is not answered. No one wants to answer why because if they answer lot of existing practices which takes refuge under Ram's action( To be frank they are Ravan's actions not Ram's) will have to go. The beauty of SKR is they are giving logic to Ram's and Sita's action. There is character consistency. That's why I said to understand the depth of SKR we have to learn to unlearn Ramayana@Savitha that scene was poignant. And as you said I loved the way golden deer was presented. Ram takes it as a call of duty than doing anything for pleasure. And we need to see one thing here. Others can cheat you, but does that change your basic behavior. Answer is no. If we see that is what happened in Bali. Mayavi cheated him and he felt the whole world is full of cheaters. He was not adharmi, but one negative incident he started doing adharma without thinking. This is where Ram scores. Even after getting cheated he doesn't lose the soul. He is able to trust once again. He is able to form alliances once again. He doent destroy existing relations because of a third party.

Shruthi everything about Ram and Sita is infinite-their capacity for love ,their capacity for forgiveness is endless isn't it? As you said, even after being cheated He is still able to forge new relationships .Sita in spite of being kidnapped and taken to Lanka is able to trust some of them like Trijakta. Even when she is doubted and banished ,she is able to extract a promise from Ram and her sons that they would not blame anyone for her sacrifice and forgive the ones who had wronged her both in Lanka and in Ayodhya.
