Absolutely. She is the Mother. There is no way she won't worry. These people don't seem to understand the basic character of Sita Mata.

Bingo!! Sita here has a hidden vampish streak much like Kavita Kane's book! How can a Divine Molther carry that shade is beyond me!!!

Seriously ...i felt like screaming at them...I know I am not an excellent writer and I still do have a lot to learn...but even I could have written these scenes much better than they did🤢😭

@ Tha, Shiv and all- You know what makes me mad? There's been ZERO character development!

I mean come on they were divine but they were demi gods with faults...and emotions...why can't they show that? the fight scene was yuck🤢. In Mahabharat..all the characters have various shades and even the most positive characters weren't spotless at all.

Hmm, my view on Ramayan is very different. See, the different between Ramayan and Mahabharat is that they take place in very different time periods. Mahabharat's society is closer to our present society now, whereas Ramayan society was in general more idealistic.

Also, it makes a huge difference that the central characters in Ramayan are Gods, whereas in Mahabharat, they are the sons of Gods, but not Gods themselves. Krishna is more or less the only character who is flawless, but in Ramayan we have many ideal characters, and we cannot say they had fautls based on our beliefs today, because as per their society they were flawless, and their each and every action has a lesson behind it.

Ram, Sita and Lakshman were not demi-Gods. They were Gods, incarnations of Gods, but Gods the same. They never did anything without any reason. They only behaved as humans to teach humankind a lesson, but their actions were Godly, even Lakshman's.

We simply cannot compare Ramayan and Mahabharat. The purpose of both the epics is totally different.

Ramayan is meant to teach humankind how their family should look like, what the duties are of each and every family members. Ramayan teaches us to love, to forgive, and to nurture. Ramayan is an epic of love, faithfulness and forgiveness.

Mahabharat on the other hand teaches us how to protect ourselves in an unjust society, how to face evil without losing our individuality.

Ramayan and Mahabharat can never replace each other. No one would ever take Mahabharat as guidance on how to shape their family, and Ramayan is not meant to teach us how to deal with oppressiveness and unjust behavior in society.

Ramayan is about family, Mahabharat is about society, so both epics will be different.

Ramayan has ideal characters, who we cannot relate to, because no one today is ideal, BUT Ramayan is not meant to be related to. It's meant to be placed on a pedestal, to learn lessons from, and try to emulate as much as we can in daily life. Mahabharat on the other hand we can relate to, because it's a picture of our society today.

I love both epics. Both together teach us how to live the most fulfilling life.

So true , Sisters and brothers are images of Ram and Sita and they represent the values of Janak and Dasharath . How can they portray them so foolishly ?
Well , I am afraid , what if I start disliking Sita-Ram after watching this show .
I respect them nt just as gods for their human values . bt the characters we are watching now is completely contradictory to what exactly they were .

It's just important to remember that the Ram-Sita here are SKR's imagination and not how the real characters were. And in the worst case scenario, you can always fall back on previous adaptations' much more reliable characterization. 😉

Sita and Urmila cannot be compared for both suffered under different set of circumstances but both played important roles...so again the question why give one a higher pedestal and demean the other??

If Ram is the ideal man, then Lakshman is the ideal warrior and Bharat and Shatrughan are able administrators! Why are they messing it up big time??

I don't think they demeaned Urmila as of yet. She is just more or less nonexistent. The only one being demeaned right now is Sita, because by showing her as insensitive and self-righteous, they are destroying the very essence of Mother Sita, who was known for her love and nurturing attitude. It is said that during vanvaas, whenever Lakshman was late in returning to the cottage, Sita would get worried and ask Ram to look for him. For Sita, her devars were like her children, so the portrayal by CVs here makes no sense whatsoever.

I also feel the essence of Lakshman is lost here. He should be portrayed as a strong man who would never have allowed Ram to fight in his presence, because the goal of his life was to ease his brother's burden and take it upon his own shoulders. Lakshman was never a bystander. He should be shown angry and furious over Bharat's unconscious state, ready to do anything it takes to save his life. He should be shown fighting right alongside Ram to avenge Bharat's injury. That's who Lakshman was.
