Anupamaa: Mahi falls for Gautam, but her new love turns obsessive

In tonight’s episode of Anupamaa, two weeks later, the Shah household is filled with mixed emotions as the festive spirit lingers in the air. Leela expresses her disappointment to Hasmuk, pointing out that Dhanteras and Chhoti Diwali have already passed, yet neither Anupama nor Rahi has returned home. She laments that it was Rahi's first Diwali after marriage, but Anupama's absence has dimmed the celebrations. Leela, still upset, feels that Anupama doesn't value her family enough, which, according to her, explains her continued absence.

Rangoli, Taunts, and a Surprise Return

Meanwhile, Preet, Sarita, and Bharti get busy decorating the courtyard with a vibrant rangoli. Hasmuk appreciates their creative work, but Preet quickly notices Leela's gloomy expression and asks what's bothering her.

Leela confesses she's worried about Anupama and wonders whether Ansh would celebrate the festival with them or the Kotharis this year. Pakhi, in her usual sarcastic tone, comments that Anupama and Rahi always bring drama wherever they go. Preet doesn't hold back either and retorts that Pakhi's real habit is spreading bitterness instead of joy.

Just when tensions seem to rise, Anupama arrives unexpectedly, taking everyone by surprise. The Shah family lights up with happiness at her return. Anupama herself is left astonished when she sees Bharti walking again. Bharti, with gratitude in her eyes, thanks Anupama and the "dance ranis" for their unwavering support.

Rahi’s Welcome at the Kothari Mansion

At the Kothari mansion, Rahi receives a warm welcome from Parag, who expresses his happiness at her return. Khyati also meets her affectionately, while Prem insists he's eager to see Rahi too. However, Rahi freezes upon seeing Ansh and Prarthana together. Things get even more unsettling when Prem worries about Rahi's reaction after discovering that Gautam is back.

Mahi’s Growing Attraction Towards Gautam

In another part of the episode, Gautam is seen working out when Mahi’s eyes fall on him. She can’t stop admiring him and is clearly drawn to his charm. Noticing her gaze, Gautam stops and Mahi asks if he needs a protein shake or a bar. He tells her that he already has the shake she gave him and takes a sip.

As Mahi begins to leave, Gautam stops her to thank her for trusting him despite his past mistakes. He shares that seeing Prarthana happy gives him peace, even though he still feels sad about being away from his unborn child. He expresses faith that Ansh will be a good father and says it means a lot to him that he might at least get to see his child someday. Gautam then assures that he will always respect the trust Vasundhara and Mahi have placed in him and praises Mahi for being kind and understanding. His words make her blush.

Trying to change the subject, Mahi reminds him that it’s time for the aarti. Gautam agrees, takes a sip again, places the bottle aside, and goes to change. After he leaves, Mahi glances at the bottle again. Overcome by her growing feelings, she takes a sip from it and blushes shyly. Just then, Meeta spots her, but Mahi quickly brushes it off and walks away, hiding her embarrassment.

Anupama’s Return Raises New Questions

Back at the Shah home, Anupama questions Ishani about her continued stay. Ishani replies innocently that her Diwali vacation isn't over yet, but Anupama senses something suspicious in her behaviour. Meanwhile, Mahi hurriedly changes her outfit to match Gautam's and lies to Meeta, saying her previous dress got spoiled.

At the Kothari mansion, Rahi confronts Ansh for living there instead of with her. Khyati defends him, explaining that Ansh has been standing by Prarthana's side through difficult times. Rahi then spots Gautam and demands answers. Vasundhara steps in and reveals that she was the one who decided to bring Gautam back into the house. The revelation leaves Rahi stunned and uneasy. Prem and Parag try to diffuse the situation, asking Rahi to freshen up and discuss matters later.

A New Side of Paritosh

Meanwhile, Mahi invites Gautam to join her for an online meeting. Over at the Shah house, Leela requests photos from Anupama's time with Rahi, but Anupama smiles and says she didn't take any, she was too busy living in the moment. Paritosh shares some positive news, revealing that he has joined a restaurant and promises to make her proud. Anupama is pleased to hear about his new beginning.

As the Kotharis gather for the Diwali puja, Mahi drifts into a dream where Meeta publicly teases her about dressing up for someone special. When Mahi blurts out Gautam's name, Vasundhara slaps her in anger. Mahi wakes up startled, realising it was just a dream. In the real world, Rahi performs the puja rituals with devotion, masking her turmoil.

Back at the Shah residence, Leela tries to emotionally stop Anupama from returning to Mumbai, but Preet and Sarita remind her that Anupama must prepare for the upcoming international dance competition. When Preet calls out Leela for trying to guilt-trip Anupama, Leela mockingly throws the same words back at her.

Rahi Learns About Raja’s Changed Behaviour

On the other side, Rahi continues to struggle with Gautam's unexpected return. Prem advises her to stay calm and not let emotions cloud her judgment. Later, Rahi notices Pari looking disturbed. When Rahi questions her, Pari confides that Raja has been acting distant and she suspects he might be seeing someone else. Rahi reassures her that Raja would never betray her, but the seed of doubt lingers in her mind.
