Episode 55: Reality Check...

It was another good, solid episode yesterday.

Slowly, but steadily we are marching

towards the culmination of this Swayamvar.

Though we all were aware that none would be able to lift the Danush

Except for Ramji,but still

the tension was maintained throughout the episode

Kudos to Team SKR 👍🏼

I loved the BG that was played when

Ravan entered the Swayamvar

As much as I was happy to see Malyavan's shocked and embarrassed

I was equally or say more satisfied seeing the

fangirl in Mandavi shocked and dejected😡😆

Karthik's voice was dubbed,though dubbing could have been better

I felt it was a good move

And his expressions yesterday was to the T

Well done Karthik👍🏼

The actor playing Malayan is the the real surprise

From day one till now,he is nailing it

Excellent👏

On the whole a gripping episode

which ended with a bang on Precap

Ramji will appear today and will make Sita and us happy😳😆

Ok enough of my blabbering

Janak ,with pride in his eyes, declares the start of the Swayamvar .

All the kings one after the other try lifting the Dhanush.

Some struggle, while others step onto the dias

only to leave in fear and better still,

some don't even venture near the Dhanush

knowing what the result would be.

Through it all Malvayan laughs uproariously

mocking the efforts of the kings.

Malyavan gets tremendous enjoyment out of the failure of them all.

In his mind he is pretty clear who the winner is going to be

I all his attitude,Malyavan announces Ravan's arrival

Little did he know that

They are going to fall flat on their faces

Ravan enters the court walking arrogantly towards king Janak.

What follows is a perfect example of one man's delusions of grandeur.

He struts back and forth all the time ranting away.

Maa Parvati approaches Mahadevwith a smile in Devlok .

She says your devotee has come to lift your dhanush.

Mahadev with a clam face says his devotee's truth will will revealed in some time

He tells Janak to be ready to bid farewell to the Dhanush.

He cannot understand why the Lord did not entrust him with the Danush

in the first place, but he was going to rectify the mistake made by him.

Talk about being deluded.😆

He continues his diatribe, and tells Janak that

he doesn't really care about Sita,

she would only become one of his wives, among many,

while his Rani will always be Mandodhari.

Janak and Sunaina is filled with pain .

Finally a reality check for Mandavi😆😆

The daughter he loves more than his life is being insulted by this man

who was nothing more than a bully.

Janak, with his intelligence, turns the table on Ravan

asking him to go ahead and string the Dhanush ,

because that would let everyone assembled there know of his bhakthi.

An offended Ravan goes to lift the Dhanush and fails gloriously.

There is a saying that " when you allow your ego to control your thoughts,

everything you believe becomes an illusion".

Ravan was supremely confident of his victory only

due to his ego and arrogance. Malyavan is flabbergasted

looking at the spectacle of Ravan being unable to lift the Dhanush.

Loved the reactions of Shattanand, Yagyavalkya,

Kushadwaj, Rani Sunaina and

Janak after Ravan's failure..

There was varying degrees of relief on their faces.

Sita was oblivious to her surrounding through most of the proceedings.

She was almost in a trance, in her own world , waiting for Ramji

whom she was certain will come.

The actors did a wonderful job.

I guess the complaints about JK's voice has been emphatic

enough for the cvs to have it dubbed.

The star of the episode for me would be Janak.

Bijay Anand has been fantastic, and

his understated and subtle performance is always a treat to watch.

May be king Janak thought "If none succeeds in lifting the dhanush, it may turn to be an insult for the kings/princes who attended the swayamwar and they may think he did this to show his supremacy". I felt like this more than his worry for Sita's match😆

Ramya, that was shown in the precap. the kings already stated that there will war amongst them and whoever wins will take away Sita as a prize as it is her Swayamvar and she has to marry one or the other from the gang. 😡😡

Thank God, Vishwamithra arrived at the right time to ask them to fight with Ram & Lakshman first and then think further. 😊😊

In this episode when Ravan insulted Janak i felt that Manvi realised her grave mistake in supporting him all the time

Mano no words to describe the work done here. It looks even more beautiful here. Your pictures gives a larger than life effect n Varshu yr write up is just apt. You give just the right touch to the pictures. It is like living through the episode again. You complement each other beautifully. Wonderful work.
