i have heard another explanation about daughters being married off to other families as "they are only ones who have the mental strength and determination to move into a new surroundings and adjust to it and also change some things according to her wish. Daughters are the only ones who connects two families and binds them in relation. men doesnt have this capacity. that is why daughters are married and sent to other houses."
