Sach Ka Samna

A very thought provoking episode, where some really tough questions were asked.

Through Jabali's discussion with Rama and through Chandrabhagas attitude, we saw a different side of power and how it can influence the mind.

Rama is disturbed and there are two main causes for this - 1. The poor old lady who could not get a chance to voice her grievance

2. The mystery of the golden doll in his mothers room.

The interaction of Rama with Rishi Jabali was a very challenging one

Rishi Jabali did not give him any answers, rather he asked some questions that were hard hitting

And questions that will force Rama to question the very premise of royalty specifically and any other power equation in general, including the parent child relationship

Power corrupts, and those in power want to surround themselves with people who fed their egos and stay way from those who show them their shortcomings !

In fact Jabali went a few steps further and connect both of Rama's dilemmas together, though they seemed unrelated

And he linked shanta's secret also to a similar power equation between children and parents, where children are discouraged from questioning their parents, and this leads to distance between generations.

This has left Rama with plenty food for introspection, and I am sure it will further make him even more empathetic and sensitive to the weak and those smaller than him.

A similar power and ambition play on mind of a person was seen in Chandrabhagas change in attitude and her sudden harshness towards her daughters, as she felt her chance to be a queen get jeopardised due to the girls.

A beautiful lesson in how minds of people work, and how social orders emerge to protect those in power and to protect their egos!

And episode that is sure to disturb you, and make you examine the very social and family structure in a new way!

jabali's interaction with ram was wonderfully done. the power structure between parents & children is so true in many cases.

i feel jabali & ram have good chemistry

Very thought provoking epi. More then from Sita's pov, they are answering questions many of us have regarding the epic as well in our day to day life.
Dancing shishyas in rishi Jabali's ashram reminded me of Osho ashram in Pune.
He told Ram, he should think about himself. He knows Ram can get carried away & may put other's happiness before him.
One can easily connect with Rishi Jabali's thought pattern.
The scene where Kaikeyi is concerned about Ram & Kaushlya cares for Bharat, during lunch showed their bonding.
Well written Sach ka samana, Arshics. 😊

Amazing post. Today's episode was thought provoking. It was about how power can influence you. Some use their power for a good cause whereas some use it for their own benefit. Ram was thinking about the old lady and how he could do something for her while on the other hand we saw a very different side of Chandrabhagas. Yes, power does influence you, but it's upon us how to make use of it. Loved the interaction between Ram and Jabali.

I'am loving this gradual development of character of Rama inturn , that they are showing.

Must say, this is a very brave attempt by the makers and the writers...for showing us how Rama became Rama we all know.

The show as of now , does not feel like a story, that we all saw either on TV or in movies as of now...but more of a life's lessons.

Definitely the USP of this show.

Agree.

The manner in which the connectivity is being brought in Ayodhya and Mithila in parallel is commendable.

If the scenes involving Sita are more towards interpersonal relationships , family structure, Rama's scenes are more towards, responsibilities of a King, and the social structure.

The show is exploring great new areas. Questions that need to be thought and answered. One thing I am missing in the show is Ram Lakshman bonding. Ram and Lakshman were considered inseperable from the childhood and the show is missing that .

@Arshics it was a thought provoking and disturbing episode. But I would say nothing new to me. Because as a child I grew up branded a rebel because I questioned. I questioned the rituals, I questioned the social order, I questioned the gender equations. Only difference is Ram is patient, emphathetic, but the teenager in me who never got answers, instead some vague reasoning and more controls use to fly of the handle. I will always call my teenage years as of one of the most emotional upheaval. Only good thing was I concentrated my energy on studying and getting a job, but when I look back I know that energy could have taken me anywhere since there was no proper direction from anyone. It was the books that helped in those tiring days. And one thing I will always be thankful to my parents is for introducing me to the world of books at a very tender age. Yes it resulted in questioning, but they also became my support system in the hour of need. Actually SKR is becoming an emotional balm for me because it is answering me, validating my thoughts that had existed since teenage years and I am loving it.

And coming to power equations, I loved Sunaina's dialogue. You want to be a Queen. But learn to behave like a Queen. A Queen manages relations and doesn't break them. Sunaina was not rude, but even in the mild manner she send out the message to Chandrabagha loud and clear.

Awesome post😃

I felt all scenes of yesterday's were important once

Be it the Mothers being understanding towards Ram

and giving him his space

Ram and Jabali meeting

Sisters bond and Chadrabaga's attitude

and her fear that children might hinder her wish and also Sunaina's advice

Then the final scene of Ram finally knowing about his sister's existence

I think they will expore that too

Going by the making style

They focus on one thing at a time

Beginning eps were all about Sita

Now it's all about Ram

Soon we might get Ram and Lakshman bonding too
