Hey Guys,
Here is today's take five. There were some good points today.

But before that, I have to mentioned these friends.

prishadbest, Arshi (Arshics), adi2512, eternity_of_luv, Aayushi (NEIRAlover), Ayushi (ayushimehra)

You guys are really really sweet...😳🤗 and you know why!! 😃 I really would love to know your names. I know only few of them here.

Moving on...here is today Top Five

1) Responsibility: Whenever there is a problem in the home, of with any one of the family, there are going to be some tension in the air. Children are very sensitive and they catch up on this fact fairly easily. However many parents try to shield them from this problem. But, as long as it is an age appropriate issue, we should share our problems with them. They are good listeners, they are very understanding, they are not as fragile as we think, they are strong and they can bring you hope when you have lost it. Remember, even though they are young, they are not stupid, they have their own identity and self-respect, they can be a contributing member of the house. This will only enable them, they will feel included and be proud of themselves, they can develop a sense of worth.

For example, my mom was a single parent trying to raise two daughters with a very small salary. Both I and my sister were very much aware of our financial situation. My mother never tried to shield her problems from us. This only bought us closer as a family. I and my sister never demanded anything outrageous which would require lot of money. We knew the financial situation and we were content with what we had. I would take care of my sister, who was almost five years younger than me after school. This is when I was as young as 11 years old and my sister was 6 years old. I and sister even today, after so many years share a deep bond which was because I spent time with her in childhood.

I also remember a very fine movie in Kannada 'Namma Makkalu', meaning 'Our Children'. The main family consists of a working father, a house wife mother, two sons and a daughter. Although they are not rich and have humble financial status, they are content. However problems start when all three children have a demand like buying cricket bat, school trip or something like that. The salary of the father cannot afford any of this. They come up with a plan. They let their children manage the entire household for a month, the father will give his salary to them. They have to pay all the bills, household expenses. At the end of the month whatever they are able to save, it is theirs and can do anything with the remaining money. What a lovely movie it was and do catch it if possible.
2) The dreaded 'NO': Often parents word 'No' more than the word 'Yes'. Again, to continue from the previous point. When we say No to the kid, let us explain why that is, instead of making a blanket statement. Let us allow them to make their point and make them realize why their argument is invalid.

3) Elder Sibling: Dedicated to all the elder siblings (myself included 😃) We take care of our younger siblings, almost like a parent, wipe their tears, play with them and promptly give all your unwanted tasks to them and make them work for you!!!

4) A drop of Lemon: A drop of lemon is all it takes for milk to curdle. One petty person can sour our life to a large extent. Be very careful of such persons in your life and stay hundred kilometers from them.

5) Finally mother's wait is ended: After a long wait the mothers finally meet their sons. Again we need to ask, why do we have to neglect the love of a mother for rules?

U r most welcome Kshiti, this Is prisha here. I have been following your take 5 since the first epi, simply wonderful and so insightful; that many a times I have been left speechless or u might say wordless by them.
Even I can completely relate to the responsibility shown by both Ram and Sita towards their younger siblings, so touching, ram taking the blame of throwing stones at Manthra, sita convincing her sisters that their father will be all right, her conviction that God will hear her .

Found Kaikeyi scolding and degrading her son Bharatha very jarring, found this portrayal of Bharat very nauseating. Bharatha, Lakshmana, shatrugan all were able warriors taught under a very competent Guru. If Bharat was such a coward, Guru Vashisht would never have considered his education complete. Kaikeyi herself was a great warrior woman and with her presence of mind had saved her husband's life. She would have ensured that her son was brave and competent. Saddened by the portrayal of Kaikeyi and Kaushalya in this show.

Loved Sita's readiness to go to war, not to fight but help in healing the wounded soldiers not only their's but the enemies as well. At least she had the sense not to go to war to fight with her enemies as we all were expecting. Simply loving her in this show.
Hope they continue with the same when she grows up and questions things even in her samurai once she gets married. Someone who has been brought up with a father as liberal as Janak, simply cannot accept Sita just to follow things without questioning

Agree ur take on Bharat and Kaikeyi
OK I can relate if he is shown yearning for Mother's love
Since kaikeyi was all about Ram till she turns dark for a moment
(He did finally smile after kausalya uttered those loving words)
But scared? that too of his own mother ,meeting her after years? Why?
I hope they do reason it
Like we expected Sita ready for a fight but it was somthingelse
I wish they really justify why he fears Kaikeyi
Thankfully he doesn't seem to be jealous of Ram

And also hope we get a happy Kauslaya after this Shanta track
Hope Ram does lessen her pain if not erase it

Wow...now you have left me speechless. I really don't know what to say to your lovely words.😳

Wonderful point about Kakeyi and Bharat. while I was watching the episode, I had made a mental note of this. But completely missed this while writing. I am really glad that you noticed this and wrote about it.

All the kids are not same. Some babies starts walking and talking at an age of eight months, say. And few of them would do that only close to two years of age. Will you love one of them more than the other? No way. Some one may be good in maths and science, some may be good in arts and sports. Some in writing. We just need to nurture them and see how they blossom. Never compare between siblings, between friends.

Regarding Kaikeyi's portrayal...I kind of see where they are taking her. Now she is making Bharat feel bad with her comparisons. But over the course of time, with the help of Manthara she would start feeling guilty over this fact. And ultimately this guilt may lead her to ask the throne for Baharat as a compensation for all the hurtful things she had done to him. The seed of that guilt was sown yesterday's episode.

And Koushalya has to be sad for them to show the story of Shanta, Ram's sister. She was sent to Rishyashringa (the one who performed the yagna for the sons for Dasharath), to break his tapasya so that he would be less threatening to Indra. In the story I had read, Dasharath gives away his daughter in the hope that he would have sons. In this light when you see Kaoushalya, we can understand her bitterness with her husband and her unhappiness for having a son at the cost her daughter. She would want both her children with her. Anyways, this is all I am speculating. Let us see how this plays out.
