@Arshics how nice to see you here. Remember we were discussing Moh and Prem in MK forum 😆 with respect to Maya.
See in addition to the points you put I want to put another point. Dasrath goes for Mrigaya. And it is the aftermath of Mrigaya that Shravan dies and Dasrath gets the curse.
Dasrath feels bad he has killed a human, but he has no qualms killing an animal for Mrigaya. It was told as the entitlement of royals of those days.
So I have a question. Is it right to kill an animal for fun, or proving your credentials right. Yes animals are killed for food as it is nature's law. They are also killed if they attack us. But killing for food and killing as part of defense is different. Killing a life when there is no need for it, is it justified. yes I know we all use animals one way or other for our needs. Some ethical, some unethical. But the purpose for which we use animals, if humans are put there we feel bad. So is mercy limited to humans, not to other life forms. So does this incident has indirect message of having mercy towards every living being and not to abuse them, just because they cant express like us humans. Because the cruelty we do to them, will obviously come back at us one day.

Shruthi, I am so happy to see you here. And I really look foreword to again sharing some wonderful thoughts and ideas with you.

And so like you, to look at it from a different perspective - compassion to animals.

You know I read a book the other day, which actually said something similar - that we humans are so selfish and limited in our view, that we value human life above others. Killing anyone is wrong, more so if it's for sport!

To take animal life lightly is also wrong and hence looking at it from any point of view it was a wrong act. But I think when Dashratha saw the pathos of the blind parents the enormity of his action struck him, which wouldn't have happened had it been a bezubaan janwar

hi dear !!!

Your post is really beautiful.

Prem which is secure, which gives strength and which is not vichalit : this is such a beautiful line as this kind of love is the most fulfilling as is based on deep seated trust, emotional strength and stability.

And Moh which is insecure, which makes you emotionally weak : this line though I have a different understanding of. I may be wrong.

Prem vs Moh ...two very intricate emotions intertwined.

Prem is supposed to be selfless...one should love without a care of the world...mila toh mila ...nahi mila toh bhii prem toh kar hi sakte hain.

But doesn't Prem differ in form from person to person...from role to role of a human. So does Moh.

Love that parents have for their children and vice versa.
The Lovers kind of love and much more.

Does Moh not co-exist with Prem 😊...we love someone deeply so it means we are attached to the person, we can be utmost secure in love yet not able to leave Moh of that person...ultimately how does one define Moh...it is a form of love only but comes with emotional vulnerability and gets projected as a weakness but isn't it a form of Affection or endearment or attraction for someone by someone so how is it different to Prem or weaker than it . Yes it may make a person weak but doesn't Love do the same too.

Who can say that though they love their near and dear ones but will be ok parting with them! It does not happen na.

Anyone in love and no matter how secure/ stable love is will not be able to let go of their loved one ...then Prem co-exists with Moh. I can speak out for myself here as this is my thought.

I am not able to separate Moh from Prem . I feel without Moh, Prem does not exist or may be it does. 😊 So much thinking this serial is making me do ...loving it !

On a side note, your line on how A carelessly given Vachan can take another form and affect people not even involved in the Vachan ...is absolute bliss.

Love

Ruchi.

Hi Ruchi, what a beautiful post from you. Can Prem and Moh exist separately? Are they separate at all?

Well, in the real world, they go hand in hand, and where there is Prem there will be Moh, but Prem goes far beyond Moh, - Moh coming from sammohan- attraction that is.

And because Prem has a more spiritual all encompassing meaning as opposed to Moh, which is more emotional and sensorial, I feel, Prem is less demanding and more secure. Moh on other hand needs validation and is insecure.

And now because we human beings with our fears and insecurities are often mixing up the two, we always live in fear

In the ideal world, they would be distinct !

Thank you dear. May I know your name please.

Yeah that is why I said this is my perspective on Prem and Moh. For me they are together but what you have explained is true as well . 🤗 Prem is spiritual while Moh is worldly.

@ Bold : Truth of our lives. The world is not ideal . How would it have been had we been living in an ideal world...sigh !! Come to think of it, guess it never existed. Lol !
