I started watching this serial because Mahabharat ended at such a wrong time when they could have shown a lot more. Although, Mahabharat had a drawback because of the so called "interpretation" of Swastik Productions and it was sometimes hard to watch it. But the costumes and the sets were way too amazing for any of the serials that are airing now or were back when it started. But one thing that this serial has which is better than Mahabharat is the quality of animation and the use of VFX. They are way more realistic and acceptable in the situations where they are used and it doesn't look like they have been made after the editing which in Mahabharat was quite obvious.

Also, almost all the scenes in Sinhasan Battisi have been shot outdoors when the situations demanded so, making it look more real. Obviously, the Sinhasan Battisi team has learnt a few things from Mahabharat and I hope the serial gets better as it proceeds.
