Ever since Silsila Hai Pyaar Ka took a five-year leap, the show's cast is barely left with any time for leisure. But no matter how busy things get, they make it a point not to forget special occasions like birthdays. Sticking to the pact, the cast and crew recently organised an impromptu bash for the leading man of the show, Abhay Vakil on set. Abhay has been busy shooting day and night to finish off the episodes and he had no time to make any specific plans for his special day. So, his colleagues decided surprise him.
A source reveals, "Abhay was trying very hard to leave early on his birthday but the director smartly managed to make him stay back till late at night, insisting that he cannot be allowed to leave as the schedule was very cut-to-cut on that day. The prank worked as the director kept a straight face throughout his conversation with Abhay and till the last minute the latter did not get a whiff of the surprise awaiting him. Within the next fifteen minutes, the entire cast and crew had gathered for the party.
An emotional Abhay said, "I was sad when the director said I cannot leave. Little did I know what they were up to. I had almost given up the hope of celebrating my birthday when they all surrounded me!"
